    Just picked up a 72 in pieces. Put it back together, got it running, looks and rides great!

    I had a 1971 in that orange color. As I recall it would hit 72 mph which is pretty good for a 175. Loved that bike and would love to have it now for cruising around town.

    I have a 71 CL175 that I bought when I was 13 to ride in the fields near my childhood home. I still have the bike, somewhat disassembled, but complete.

    lovely bike, throws me back to my childhood at our place at the beach, we were permitted to ride the resort park on our bikes, they were registered and tagged with park tags. we brothers were riding yamahas and hondas, but there was literally anything on 2 wheels under 300cc's there. I sure do miss the 70's.

    Had the exact same bike, same colour, that I bought brand new in Canada for $719.00 in 1970. Ended up with an orange 750 Norton more than 4 times the displacement.

    Definition of a "survivor". A motorcycle that managed to remain indoors away from the weather while also being hidden away from idiots that have no idea what they are doing and insist on ruining a perfectly good bike by turning it into a "bobber"

    Ken Jr, what's it like to have a motorcycle-riding bad-ass Wolverine dad?

    • @KaplanCycles
      @KaplanCycles  6 лет назад

      Dave, this is Ken Sr, Thank you!! I cant speak for Jr ...but being his dad has been one of life's greatest gifts for me! he is usually behind the camera...he is my best friend...and chip off the old block! A Blackbelt in Kempo & Jiu-Jitsu he also has won 6 New England Motocross championships and can now Deadlift 475 pounds and is closing in on the 500lb club at 19 years old. He is sales manager at the shop and has worked here with me full time since he was 14.. I couldn't be a prouder Dad.

      @@KaplanCycles That's cool that the family is involved in the business and shares your love of motorcycles. I really enjoy watching all the videos and seeing what you've done with the museum. That building is really impressive. One of these days I hope to get up there and check the place out....maybe buy a bike from you guys.

    @Kaplan Cycles New England Motorcycle Museum What's your personal opinion on these things in regards to keeping it all original vs modifying it (shorter seat, handlebars, wrapped pipes, tail light and turn signals). I just came into my dad's Honda CL 175. All original, has less than 2000 miles on it, but looks like this one . ruclips.net/video/CW95hyaiPkE/видео.html
