    I own one just like this, I had one back in 1978 and traveled back and forth from London to various places in Germany on it, they go on for ever!

    man! I wish Honda still makes this small displacement multi cylinder bikes
    can't deny a 360 parallel twin engine sounds better than a 1 cylinder job
    with a modern EFI setup it will make a lot more power and give an impressive 3 digit mpg figure

      You might like a Kawasaki 300 versys or 400Z. They are parallel twins.

    one of hondas best engines, you can buy a replacement top-end kit, barrel piston gaskets that converts it to 205cc, you can also buy a replacement head with roller bearing rockers and bigger valves and bigger inlet/outlet ports, it uses the same exhaust and carb but the carb can be replaced with a bigger one instead of up jetting your old one, the barrels cost about £200 head about te same,

    That was my very first bike. I'd love to own one again. Someday I will. I keep looking and finding stuff but nowhere close to where I live. I have a. blue 82 750 nighthawk with 6600 original miles on it. I'd trade my rig for yours and barter. Mine runs very strong and has all its life left in it.

    I had a 1971. It was blue, and the paint scheme and tank looked different, for some reason. It was my ticket to freedom as a kid, but boy, it was weak, and had a lot of mechanical problems. Except for the tank it looks the same.

    Pulled one of these out of a relatives barn a couple weeks ago and they said it's mine; the bike has been sitting for a few years but I'm hoping to fix it up and travel south in the fall for a few months with a back pack. I weigh 160 pds and the luggage w helmet will probably weigh another 30 pds. Could this be worth pursuing? I've been searching for a bike to travel on for a year or so, and I have enough cash for the investment. Just not sure if it will be worth my time.

      That sound like a good plan , just clean the carb and the tank good , replace fuel lines , inition points and condencer , and plate it , it is a very nice bike to drive and is simple , good luck with this make a video of your trip if you can , or try to exchange it for a bigger bike in great shape like a Shadow 750 or a old Gold wing for cheap but if you dont plan to go fast up a big hill stay with this bike if it run good , put 10w40 in and change it often , i'll go on a trip with my Shadow 750 in the Fall too , good luck

    What's the top speed? There is one for sale in my area and just want to know if it at least goes 65-70

    • @shadowshelbyz
      @shadowshelbyz  7 лет назад +1

      It rev pretty high at high speed but it can do it, maybe you can change the chain gear to go on the highway for a long run.

    • @shadowshelbyz
