I had a Twinstar back in the 80s. And technically it was permissible to take on the highway, BUT if I did my heart was in my mouth the whole time. Just not quite enough bike. But for back roads and non-freeway use, you couldn't beat it. It only let me down when I let it down, by not performing routine maintenance. More or less bullet-proof otherwise. I wish I had it today.

The highway ride was indeed quite „interesting“ and I will probably stay away from motorways in the future, but it still did it

Nice little bike, The clutch will last longer if you put it in neutral at traffic lights rather than sitting in gear with the clutch disengaged mind! Thanks!!

Yes that is right, but I somehow feel more comfortable being in gear the whole time and being able to drive of instantly for safety reasons.
