It's a grapple, it's a snow pusher, it's a landscape rake, it's everything !! You keep putting out informative and enjoyable content with just the right amount of salesmanship. Keep up the good work.
Even the least convenient option with levers to control the grapple opening and closing is much more convenient than having to pull, push and pick up stuff by hand.
Hey Courtney, just want to put out there. I’m not a person who like to buy things off line. But I do want to tell people you are a super person to deal with . You listing to what I needed gave me a good price and got it ship right away to me. I won’t not hesitate to buy from you again. Thank again Phil.
Courtney, you're so right, new Kioti NS 6010 HST with 3rd function on the way, need a grapple for brush and logs for it but totally confused so defaulted to you rather than the salesman at the dealership.

Great video, very informative, I noticed you covered all the tractors but never went to the 5 series on any of your talking points or descriptions........do you not carry 5 series components or why was that?? I have a JD 5065E, 2009, need a third function switch added, and a big grapple, also want a 3-point quick disconnect. Can you help me out? Thanks!!
I ordered the summit kit the day your install video came out. I was informed after ordering that the kit for the 1025r is now on back order. When I called summit, the guy said "ever since that GWT video came out, we have been bombarded with orders. But we are going to try and get them out by the end of next week". It just goes to show you the power of your RUclips channel. Thanks for making these videos.
Wow, that's cool! Good and bad, but happy to work with a good company making a quality product at an affordable price! Thanks for watching and have fun with your diverter!
Great video. That reinforced the decision I made last year for my grapple. Although I did make one modification by welding some expanded mesh to the bottom "forks" of mine to help catch some of the smaller twigs, leaves and other trash. That reduced the amount of stuff I had to move by hand afterwards during clean up.
I wish I had known all of this before I bought my BC-4215 (from GWT, of course!), but I'd probably still have gone in the same direction, because I'm cheap -- lol! I do like the BrushCrusher, but I wish I could get the bottom teeth vertical (or even close) at about 3+ feet off of the ground. It's hard to drop my load into a big pile (no double entendre intended, I swear!!!) the way it is. Other than that though, the BrushCrusher is doing what I need it to do pretty well!
Thanks for replying. Yes the supplier sent me a short hose on the grapple. The seller told me to go buy a longer hose and they would reimburse me if I send them a receipt. Do you think they will do that???
Thanks for the info My Summitt Diverter will arrive Monday for my 1025R Ordered right after your video. Now I am starting to shop for grapples. I am looking real close at the Artillian I like the modular approach because i keep everything in a two car garage, but the cost is a bit prohibitive
You are lucky, I ordered my diverter kit later that night and mine is on back order. No big deal though. As far as grapples, I went through the same thought process as you. I loved the artillian, but it was not in the budget. Luckily, my JD dealer had a frontier AV20F in stock that he sold me for 1375 and picked it up that day. Although I can't use it yet, I like the looks of it and think it will do what I want it to do.
It'll come soon enough. Crazy times we're living in. Demand is through the roof which kind of came out of nowhere. Couple that with increased safety protocols, shortstaff for quarantines, and it's a perfect storm. Tough for manufacturer's right now. Thanks for following along!
So interesting! Every video you're publishing is very instructive and I would have never thought I would have learnt so many technical, commercial and safety information. Lucky to have such a large choice of equipment in the US, I'm leaving in France and let's say that the market and aftermarket for such compact tractors is not so developed: we are missing a lot of equipment and we shall stick to a very limited number of attachments and also advices from the sellers. Let's take box blades for example: many sellers I contacted never heard about it, and none of them have taken my request as serious : the only answer is... 'Don't know what you're speaking about.... (show them what it looks like) Oh, this is it... Not available! Bye...'. I'm then currently contemplating the opportunity to import some of the US available attachments to France.
I had the dealer add the JD 3rd function kit to my 2025R before I took delivery. $1800 but there were some overall discounts. JD was just starting to ship the kits and It was the first one my dealer had installed. Actually it was 2 kits. 1 for the loader and 1 for the tractor. 14 and 32 page instructions. Dealer really botched the loader install. I took it back for them to correct. I have my fingers crossed that the tractor side is correct. I can see all the screws for connectors under the floor board were not used. I have used it for angling on the loader mounted snow plow. My next purchase may be a grapple.
Man, that's expensive. I have seen a dealer take apart a 1025r to install that 3rd function. A crazy amount of labor involved. The tech also didn't seem to be enjoying himself, haha.
I didn't think I'd like a diverter but it came on my tractor and having put 30 hrs or so on it now I can say it works great there is a very slight delay as it engages (could just be the diverter I have) but once U expect that it works flawlessly.if I had the curl and roll at the same time I admit it would be slightly more effective and efficient having had experience in skid steers and other 3rd function capable machines in my past. Personally with my experience if I was full time contracting on my tractor I'd get a full 3rd function but for anyone else I would strongly recommend the diverter as a great option
Ultimate grapple guide indeed. Wonderful video good sir as always. There are so many choices, which is wonderful, but as you showed important questions need to be answered first before choosing one. 🙂
Question. From what I gather, you must keep the button pushed in to keep the grapple closed. Is that correct? If so, isn't that difficult to do if you need to move your brush a decent distance? Am I misreading that?
48” root rake. I have a land pride on my Kubota. Works very well. Not sure if they make one for JD, but theirs the Wicked brand that looks like it works good on the video’s. I’d go with the hydraulic unit. Get your tractor set up from the get-go then you’ll always have that function
Newbie question, what is the difference between the root and the rake grabble? It looks like maybe the number of teeth and the length/curl of the teeth?
I actually just talked to my local Deere dealer and it would be about 2k to install a true 3rd function on my 1025r. The kit is only 1200, and labor was 700ish.

@@GoodWorksTractors i own a tree farm and co-own a saw mill, but my main source of income is securities litigation consulting. Being in my 40s I try to have at least three months beard growth and two weeks hair growth before a major case. Great video!!
