I love this song. I bought Medusa back in 1986 when it came out. One of the greatest albums of all time. It's so great to see these guys still playing. I only wish they'd take the time to play San Francisco again, there is still a bit Clan of Xymox following here. Good times...

The boy who made me discover Clan was the greatest love of my life, but he passed away aged 37 (born 1965) and will always stay in my heart. So, you might be in the sky, in the grass, wherever you are, let me tell you what I feel listening to this music sometimes again and again. The 2 X 3 hits of drums are the opening, then MOJCA (spouse of RONNY, leader singer. Oh Gosh, so concentrated and so beautiful: again, the job is delivered so perfectly. Just before MOJCA took the bass, there's a nice look between RONNY and MARIO USAI, one is pointing the sky and the other agree without any word "sure they had the perfect day for a life concert. More and more in their development: all playing together, Ronny keeps singing and that's more than a love song.
Un live sublime, cox traverse le temps sans prendre une ride c'est dire combien ce groupe est unique. Le temps n'a jamais eu d'emprise sur leur style parce qu'ils incarnent, il respirent la Darkwave depuis des décennies. A Day, Medusa, Back Door, Louise.... Et tellement d'autres titres intemporels par leur perfection qui touchent l'âme et le coeur pour toujours... Si seulement ils pouvaient donner un concert à Montpellier dans le Sud de la France, ce serait magnifique...
I think the engineering of this particular style of music is absolutely nothing short of genius! I love this song, it has become one of my favorites! I can listen to it all day if proposed! A masterpeice in my opinion, ahead of its time to say the least! Such a collaboration, I hope they are proud of such work!

I remember hearing this a few times on the radio in Houston around 89 or 90 and I ❤️ it at the time. For some reason I thought it was the Pet Shop Boys, at least the first few times. Never heard it again until maybe 15 yrs later by chance on another radio out of Cancún. Only then I heard of this band.
Ronnie playing that cat's eye black & white Rickenbacker. Classic!!! Marty Wilson if I recalled, played a similar Rickenbacker back in the day for The Church. Cheers!!

This version is not bad although I think the band is backed up by tapes. Useful to recall that Clan of Xymox was not Moorings alone. There was an incredible bass player named Anke Wolbert (Ms.) and a brilliant keyboardist named Pieter Nooten with him. The bass line played by Anke on ''Louise'' is mixed upfront and is a must -listen with its changing tones and the chorus at the end of the tune. Nothing to see with what this bass player delivers here which sounds clearly laid back. ''Medusa'' the album which contains ''Louise'' remains after more than 30 years (1987), a masterpiece and one of the stepping stones of the cold wave movement.

Medusa is a beautiful album. I bought it in 1990 as an import and it cost a lot, but worth it and a treasure.
