My advise to any kid reading this. Your parent can't and shouldn't force you to play a sport you don't like. Instead of quitting all sports, replace the sport you don't like with a sport you like. Playing sports and being active is very important and will help you a lot in life, especially later as an adult. Good luck!

I've played football for most of my life and its boring and my last team made my passion of football worse, I tried telling my dad I don't wanna play football but he instantly shot it down by saying It was the only option because of others, I said I wanted to do baseball before the season had started now he only cares about me living his life for him and tried to force me to do wrestling when I never showed interest on something he did when he was younger, I just wasn't to understood as a normal person instead of a kid who has no say, or answer to a problem. I just want to quit football and just have a normal life for once.

I never like sports. I always like art and piano and spent my time on that, but my parents forced me into. Sport. I grew up with a negative mindset against sports

Haha I’ve been wanting to quit for 6 years I’ve pushed through now I have emotional trauma and a shit load of regret/self hate for staying with it because I feel I could’ve done so many other things with my time.

You could have been doing worse things with your time, at least it was healthy. But now it's time to start living your life, do a sport or things that interest you.

I'm 35 and resent my parents for not hearing me say I hate sports from the age of 4-17 it's caused me to miss exploring my own interests. Anything I've ever taken an interest to doing I've done very well, the lack of actual guidance in my youth wss debilitating

Bruh 2nd year of high school football gr10 and I’m having to learn first tight end and now guard positions plus it feels more like a burden to go then FUN plus if I continue I’ll be a stater against guy three times my experiences and weight it’s only the second day for me.

I’m only in year 2 of playing american football and I wanna quit. I’m pretty good at it and last season we only lost 1 game, but I just don’t wanna do it anymore. It isn’t fun to me anymore. My mom signed me up for it randomly.

My dad got us into judo for a year when I was 7. Way too young . I didn't know what I was doing.

It's a little young for Judo, but some very successful people started then. If they wanted to go that route, it would have been better to start in wrestling or perhaps BJJ.

Still dont like playing football. Im happy when I don't play but still my dad doesn't care. He overexagerates my health and uses that as a way to force me into playing the sport i said i didn't want to play anymore. He is more enthusiastic about it then i am, its so obvious he's doing this just to see himself play but through his kid. I don't want to be a couch potato and i love the gym, but he doesn't care even if i presented that to him. By the time i am able to move out i think i might do it.

@@fijiwater166 hi when I was younger I was told I was talented and whatnot but I suddenly lost interest and quit sports. I wish I hadn't done that and I think I would be more fit and confident now if I hadn't fully quit. Maybe take a break for a month or so and see how you feel about it? Ultimately your life is yours to live and it's not about meeting other people's expectations. Think about the sort of person you want to be in the future and see if boxing lines up with it - don't stress about making the wrong decision because all decisions are, in some way, wrong. I managed to do really good academically and get into a difficult university and degree after stopping sports but it won't stop me from imagining what could've happened if I didn't stop. I hope you find a path you're content with and are proud of yourself!

I’m trying to get better at baseball. I have been playing my whole life and this last season showed me how much I hate the sport every time I make a mistake I’m getting yelled at by coaches and the crowed so the reason I clicked on this video is to find any way to learn to like it I try so hard but it seems like if I’m not the best I am the worst and everything is my fault
