Is this censorship or an editorial decision? I believe it is the latter. Broadcasters have different ways of handling these situations. Some will initiate a delay that will give time to cut away from a graphic image. Some will have the image shot wide so that details are harder to make out. Some will cut away when something potentially upsetting happens, like in this video. It's not censorship to not want to show a moment of death or life-changing trauma as it happens. The people involved are somebody's relatives, friends, loved ones, etc. A level of respect should be observed.
@@perfectionbox No doubt. That’s why they went live with the chase. And as much as some viewers want to see everything that happens, no matter what, they have to stay within community standards of broadcasting to avoid trouble with the FCC.

Is it a chase if people are passing you? “Suspect vehicle in red Jeep”: did he have a stolen Hot Wheels car in there? Public service announcement: chase begins at ~8:00.
The best part was the Jeep careened about 100 yards down the street, rolling many times, and the driver walked out of it, tried to fool onlookers that he was a bystander, as police rushed in he stood there pointing at the wreck while several in the crowd pointed him out to cops, who tackled him.
Protecting children from real life only portrays unrealistic expectations. Which means they grow up the hard way. What we're really doing is eroding our rights away using our children as props. Raise your damn kids. Stop expecting everyone else to do it.
I've seen a dozen chases where cops try to hem in the suspect's vehicle, and 85-90% of attempts are so feckless you wonder what were they thinking. The perp escapes and intensifies his mania and speed.
I don't understand how the police always seem to leave a path for escape in these chases. When the one officer made their move on the driver's side, the other should've been right there on the passenger side & it pretty much could've been over.
THE BAD parts of the crash is what NEEDS TO BE SHOWN-- to deter others that see this or just drivers in general- to NEVER do crap like that... DON"T AVOID IT-- we've all seen much worse in the movies-- SHOW IT- so people will SEE -- THIS is what can happen if you run!!!!

@@frankmcbride7051 But there's a certain hypocrisy, because media people are like "if it bleeds, it leads."
@@perfectionbox No doubt. That’s why they went live with the chase. And as much as some viewers want to see everything that happens, no matter what, they have to stay within community standards of broadcasting to avoid trouble with the FCC.
I think people's attitudes would be different if they saw the damages that animals, murderers, accidents, etc. cause.
Cops mess up blocking him in.
I also see it time after time in other chases. Not nearly aggressive enough to stop a vehicle from driving away.
Omg so true
From what I saw, the police messed this right up.Theres no way he should have been allowed to escape from the lights, and almost kill someone. The police were daydreaming.
We don't need discretion, we're adults!?? 🥴🥴🥴
Is it a chase if people are passing you? “Suspect vehicle in red Jeep”: did he have a stolen Hot Wheels car in there? Public service announcement: chase begins at ~8:00.
LOL the newscasters reaction at the end lol
Wow those second and third trucks blew it!! You forget what you were being paid to do??
the crash is still playing on the screens behind you :D
yeah i seen it LOL
Gregory Louvat 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Cop in the right blew it coming in too late. Can't help but hope the innocents in the hit car are safe but the perp ate windshield.
I did read in the comments that they made it ,, for what its worth hope the comment was correct
The best part was the Jeep careened about 100 yards down the street, rolling many times, and the driver walked out of it, tried to fool onlookers that he was a bystander, as police rushed in he stood there pointing at the wreck while several in the crowd pointed him out to cops, who tackled him.
Shoulda stole a Trackhawk...
That is a trackhawk.. but its the new 1.5L inline vvt dohc twin turbo supercharged tdi straight 4 with an allison transmission and a decent Doug Score
LoL hell nah
Jose Melendez chase would have end quicker
LMFAOOOOO @ the doug score.
Joeybago12 LMFAO
DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO. They pull the footage as the crash happens.
The crash video feed is on the upper left monitor in the screen shot once they cut back to the studio shot!
I just hate the phony compassion by the broadcasters. Take this video down if you don't want people to see what happens
Protecting children from real life only portrays unrealistic expectations. Which means they grow up the hard way. What we're really doing is eroding our rights away using our children as props. Raise your damn kids. Stop expecting everyone else to do it.
Thank you for protecting my innocent eyes
I've seen a dozen chases where cops try to hem in the suspect's vehicle, and 85-90% of attempts are so feckless you wonder what were they thinking. The perp escapes and intensifies his mania and speed.
Wow, the cops screwed up big time.
Uh, no they didn't, the guy who broke the law screwed up.
ffjsb Thank You Sir! vsmfh 😩 😉😙😉
actually, he did screw up...he failed at doing his job
Derek, you wouldn't last a day in his job.
that's right, the way these people think is a little scary. most are just kids, like 12 year olds living at home with mommy.
That vid was like watching paint dry
Here in Arizona we let the TV stations maintain our Pursuits, because we don't want to agitate criminals
DRIVER MUST PUNISHED VERY SEVERELY BY THE JUDGE IN COURT.
I don't understand how the police always seem to leave a path for escape in these chases. When the one officer made their move on the driver's side, the other should've been right there on the passenger side & it pretty much could've been over.
"We'll continue to watch it" while we protect you from seeing it. Absolute useless media.
@@Tryonic It's YOUR responsibility to watch after your kids. Don't step on everyone's freedom of choice.
David Darby they are not allowed to show anything that children can’t watch on the news. All I’m saying.
BRah we should just go to the hospital and bust in on surgeries, for you. OR how about Not expecting a fox affiliate to provide you with the violence you need to be shown. we will be talking about your internet history at your trial you sicko! as it will show a pattern of need for violence and gore. Thanks PHOX FENIX for showing just HOW SICK YOUR VIEWERS are. Yeah, it's Click bait, but it brought attention to your desire for violence and carnage.
The Cops do everything right and then don't know how to block the guys path with 2 or 3 HUGE vehicles?
"When the units get up very close to these drivers who want to take off, it can agitate the driver, the speeds can increase, and that makes the roads more dangerous for everybody around."
And that is why high speed chases are no longer attempted in some jurisdictions.
I don’t see why are police don’t use a chopper and sniper to disable the vehicle lol like fucking Brazil type shit lol
The cops should have blocked him in at the same time smh....
And not used innocent, unknowing civilians as part of that blockade!!
Why weren't you there to tell them that?
Wimps. Show the frickin' crash. We can handle it.
That's exactly why LA & many other cities stopped high speed pursuits. They often end like this.
Show the crash!
They showed the crash, it's at the end.
I wanted to see the whole thing!
watchpeopledie is a good subreddit!
watch the back TV screens when they cut away; you can still see the crash!
amber petals "PROTECT"?!? Protect from fucking what?!? vsmfh 😩 😉😙😉
Do they know that the people in the cars can't hear them when they warn"everybody to use caution around this area"?
FOX : We don't want to show everything there. That was a bad crash
ABC : Hold my beer
Finally a commentator who doesn't want to give out all the information
It's a miracle anybody survived that crash, guilty or not. The force of that impact was such that the suspect was airborne for nearly a second.
I'm always amazed at how long the cops let these chases go on
the leftist guerrilla side of politics have denutted the Police and made it illegal to pursue out of control speeding vehicles.
they are cops what did you expected?
@@Thatit777 They have about 1000 things they have to keep in mind as regards legality, liability, public safety, officer safety, SUSPECT SAFETY, and whether the pursuit is worth the effort or not. These are all considerations the pursued does not have to take into account, so the two have to be balanced. With greater power comes a commensurate responsibility to the public to endeavor to perform the duties of a police officer in as proper a manner as can be reasonably done.
THAT is what I expect in this society, and that is what I see happening in a vast majority of police actions every single day.
If you fail to see it, it's because you're not looking, or you have decided that BLM is actually an intellectually, and science based organization.
a helicopter flew by my house when i was watching this
My toast popped up when this was happening but I was in a different time zone.
@@MrTriplenicklesix My dog was taking a nap while I watched this, and I needed to take a shit, but I held it by sitting on my feet bc I wanted to see the end of the video. Now I REALLY need to shit, but I’m engrossed by the comments.
There's no peace in this valley with police Chase
At the end of this is ASU Tempe, AZ area where I drove the student shuttle busses for 13 years.
I remember this: Ahole News kept us from the Best Part: dude jumps out of vehicle and stands with crowd (pretending to be a bystander) Cops tackle him in seconds😅
This police chase is brought to you by Desert Diamond West Valley Casino!
How dare they cut away from the best part.
"Suspect vehicle in red jeep" must be a small vehicle
Toy vehicle. Hehehehehe
In some esoteric philosophies, the body is considered a vehicle for the soul or the mind. That’s why I roll around in parking lots doing donutss
Awesome 👌 it's about time you show the scene.
love how one news person constantly corrects the other non stop.
You can thank the ineptness of the police department for causing that accident!
Don’t pull out !!!!! Let’s see what happens !!
TheMeanOne X what my girlfriend said to me ......
My girl told me that once, I’ve been trapped ever since
Chip Dillard been paying child support since lol
You just had to didn't you
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!
6:53 is that 3 people moving a gourney?
I don't get it. Why show this on live tv if you cut off when the expected happens.
you can see everything happening on the tv in the back LOLOLOL
"We'll show you the boring ass chase but we're gonna cut it off at the interesting part."
