Hi Everybody! The adventure continues and we are stoked on being out and about again 🏕 Do you have any plans on going out yourself coming months? Wishing you a great day, E&M
Hi guys I got a pomchi his name is tofu , so at the moment I am in my little c1 citroen single bed down passenger seat, I hope to get to your disneyland next year by bike with his trailer 😊 be safe Dave.
Hoi bijden, ik woon in de costa blanca in de buurt van benidorm, mochten jullie hier voorbij komen, staat de deur open. Heb slaap plaatsen en prive bergruimte voor de fietsen.
Wow you guys are so relaxed and happy in this video. I have been watching your videoes since you orignally set off but in this one its really clear just how happy you are to be off on an adventure again.
You guys do an incredible job with filming and editing your beautiful videos. Thank you for sharing your adventures with us. You are an inspiration to us all!
The debris in the trees, washed up caravan, broken buildings ... is not from frequent inundations. They are due to extreme flooding in July, maybe internationally better known from the flooding in Germany. South of Liege was heavily stricken, unfortunately also including many casualties. The clean-up, incl repairs, is still ongoing and might take years to get everything fixed.
Hi Kurt! We should have realised that knowing about the floodings in Germany and the Netherlands. We are sad to hear that many people lost their lives.
@@WheelstoWander It's not just peoples losing their lives (which is horrible off course), but some villages are completely destroyed, like a bomb fell on them. It will take 20 years or more to rebuild them (that is if people still want to live there). ruclips.net/video/sebDEQKD-t8/видео.html

Hi guys and thanks for another great video. Being retired I have the luxury of laying in bed, reading the paper and drinking a litre of water - that's from 6 - 7am. Then I have strong milky english tea to get the motor cranked over and running. I then walk 2 kms to the village plaza and have my 1st coffee of the day. An expresso strong and black followed by cafe con leche in a small thin glass and piping hot! I then pass the morning talking to friends and discussing my next adventure. I am going to drive from my home near Tortosa in Catalunya through France, Italy, the Balkans and explore Turkey, Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan... and maybe on to the Stans, who knows. Nearly 2 years of staying in 1 place have given this traveler very itchy feet. Stay safe.
Hi Paul! Sounds like a lovely and somewhat necessary routine ;) They must be sometimes broken though to do some adventuring. Great plan! Wishing you lot's of fun and discovery on the upcoming journey!! E&M
@@WheelstoWander the reason for the slow getting up routine is because I have arthritis and it takes time to get the joints working freely now, so it's more necessity than luxury.
Coffee? Damn straight!! Peculator is always on. Could be the reason for my high blood pressure or my job, maybe. Just getting the Galaxy Tourer ready with lights, luggage racks, trailer hitch. Small journeys are so easy. The E-Assist is next. Rather than punishing myself I will do less mileage but use my senior rail-pass to cut journeys; part of growing older is knowing our limitations and how to keep healthy yet not over- do it. But that's all good, it means I can go on longer. I just bought a new tent - The Blackthorn 1 man stealth tent in MTP camo - it's cheap but it's good - £44.95 about Eu 60.00? It's getting colder, great news, bugs all dying off. I've fed enough this year with blood. Hope you're both well, good music btw.
Hi Mark! Another coffee enthousiast ;) Good you know you limitations and still like to go on adventures. Our time will come too. Enjoy the new tent. Most tracks are made by my brother!
@@WheelstoWander awesome! I will have to make some music for you in time. That's my other secret passion, well secret now but just 20 years ago I was playing on stage before thousands as a session drummer. I'm too old for all that now but still play a bit of down tempo or lounge with a jazz band. Life's good when you can still get about.
Hi Eric, can i ask what is the coffee cup you're using like a french press? I did look up on your blog gear as well, but couldn't find it. It really looks cool, seems like a perfect gear for my outdoor trips.
Before my horrible heatburn I had late last year; I changed everything I consumed. I am now on a "Good for your digestive tract" type of eating which means, coffee is eliminated as it is an instigator to heartburn. When I was drinking coffee, the only coffee I would drink was Iced Coffee and I also liked Coffee Ice Cream (Yum!). The fun thing about packing is the thought that you are going somewhere different and new :). Bike Touring is always an ongoing adventure which I love; always discovering something you have not seen or experienced before.

l have binge watched your videos and thoroughly enjoyed your adventures. Looking forward to those to come. Let us know when you come over here to Australia. I am Living The Van Life, travelling in a campervan as my home. Keep exploring and enjoy the ride of life as l do, Janine
Not building in known flood areas usually helps a lot in not having your home and sometimes loved ones taken away by the natural cycle of river or a cycle created by urbanisation itself
Very ttue, we see it a lot over here to in spain. They build houses etc in natural flood areas, and every 50 years hell comes thru there, and than people ask them selfs how can this happen. Its nature, stronger than humanity. You can see this also now with the volcano in canarias.
We heard there was massive flooding in this area this summer. Lots of trouble with excessive rain in that part of Europe. We learned this is normally not a flood area.
The coffee question came up while I was drinking coffee in the morning before work. Perfect timing! Yes, I definitely want it. Need it? No, but if I didn't have it I would start the day without a gift to myself.
It’s a ritual, sacred, no guilt, and to fully celebrated……after all we’re just human with our unique strengths and limitations = it’s a gift from our Loving Creator 😁 BTW I enjoy ALL your excellent videos: THANK YOU BOTH
@Wheels to Wander No, no; that was great. When Maudi was just waking up, talking quietly to you, she then pulled the plug out of her pillow and the air hissed out. I wasn't expecting it. I've watched it back since and am surprised I was so startled.
Je kunt Koffie maken van paardebloem wortels. De wortels schoonmaken, droogbakken, fijnmalen en gekookt water erop. Smaakt hetzelfde maar zonder caffeine
Luxemborg Is lovely country lots of electric taxis mostly Tesla’s.we enjoyed our visit there. We just moved from Vancouver BC to Vancouver island and now live on the Ocean.Where we are there to lots of cycling trails and forests with trails and mtn biking.❤️🚲😎☔️☕️🇨🇦
Ah, coffee. Yes! It fixes so much, maybe everything. I can drink coffee in the morning. I can drink it a night. I can drink 5 star coffee. I can drink gas station coffee. Lol. Ok, a little trivia. I have a Starbucks travel french press I've had for 20 years! In an insulated mug. Pretty cool! And I was using a jetboil 20 years ago too. Their first model. I'm a big fan of Starbucks. I was 20 years ago, before it was popular! If you sign up for their rewards, you get free refills and free rewards, like sandwiches! Now I mostly drink coffee at home, with a Hamilton beach instant coffee maker. Like a keurig, but with a basket instead of the k-cup. And lately, Aldi's coffee, it's a bargain. Enjoy and safe travels! 👍 ✌️
Wolves at bedtime isn’t a pleasantry. You do awesome ! My coffee ritual is so very essential for happiness . I wouldn’t be able to pry one eye opened without it.
Well, I know it sounds crazy. I lived in this perfect little town called Camarillo in California. It has the 2nd best climate in the world besides Monaco. 70 degrees year round, even in winter. 10 minutes from the beach. And the mountains meet the beach. It was incredible.
There was flash flooding in Western Germany and Eastern Belgium in July 2021. i need tea and food to get me going in the morning, no good with out my tea
I couldn't do without coffee for a long time (and also didn't want to), but I switched to decaffeinated coffee about a year ago when I noticed that it mostly irritates my stomach, makes me sweaty/jittery and gives me headaches when I dont drink it, but doesn't actually wake me up. A few months ago I started drinking black tea with soy milk in the morning instead, which wakes me up a little bit and doesn't have the side effects. Decaffeinated coffee is only for special occasions now (like in iced coffee) and I miss it much less than I would've thought. Maybe tea could also be an option for you to try out? Thank you, as always, for the beautiful shots! IMO it would be great if you could add information about the time/month in which the videos were shot. It helps a lot when trying to decide when to travel to which destination :)
I watch your video and I have two things I can't underarand: 1. Why so much luggage? 2. Why do you have breakfast and dinner in a different spot than your camping place? 😀
Hi Bogdan! We have quite some camera gear we use for shooting the videos. Also we are prepared for cold weather/winter as well. We used to camp and eat at the same spot all the time and still do dinners quite often. Especially in the morning it's nice to get going and breakfast is not really needed that early. We can be on our way quickly and can find a nice convenient spot later on the eat and have a rest.
Is that the woods in Limburg? I have sketchy stories from sleeping in those woods, one night people came late with heavy metal music all night in a strange nearby house hidden in the woods ,trucks drove up and down about 50m from our camp and the lights shined on us.. Sounded like a shotgun that sound. i came across hunters around the area of France with shotguns they dressed like English gentlemen!
You may soon meet up with 'Little Red Riding Hood.' Your large handsome dog was probably a St. Bernard. I was introduced to coffee at age seven and I have enjoyed ever since especially in the morning. It looks like Belgium has more wild areas than the Netherlands? Dank je wel.
Nice tour...thanks for sharing...I guess that the gunshots heard at the beginning of the video might be the sounds made to protect the cornfields from the birds...
Great video guys. We’re just about to head off on a cycle adventure but are now worried about ticks. Is there anyway to avoid picking them up? Or are they everywhere?
Thanks! Areas where deer or other animals roam are more prone to ticks. Avoid long grass, ferns and other undergrowth. Also don't be too scared and always do a thorough tick check, preferably twice a day. Prevention with long pants & insect repellant are good measures to take. A good tick removal tool is important too! Good luck & Have fun, E&M
What helped me a lot to cut back on coffee was Reishi Mushroom. shred it , then roast it gently in a covered skillet, get it brown , not black, make sure it doesn't burn . To prevent it burning, add a bit of water. Keep the cover on to keep the medicine in. Add that to coffee, as much as 50/50. It tastes AMAZING. I cut my coffee back 50%! What's really amazing is how it balances your blood sugar. I also try to hydrate as much as possible BEFORE that first Joe-cup. which always comes before the food. Keeps those kidneys functioning. How about this, fill a wide mouth thermos with your dried beans and lentils etc. Add boiling water in advance, from the gas station, at like 3 PM, and eat that later as a first course as you set up camp, so at least you're not totally starving, and wiped out trying to pitch the tent (biggest ugh). Then, if needed, cook your stir fry etc. I also try now to thermos my breakfast oatmeal after dinner, and maybe later do a "real" breakfast at a cool spot down the road the next morning. I try to score a full gallon of precious water as I get close to night camp. Not always easy. Oh and make your own natural hydroxychloroquine by boiling grapefruit skins and fruits. Yep. Add some mint, the menthas also have quinolines . Again, great footage as usual, I bet that river has big trout in it.
Thanks Robert! That's an impressive list of tips :) We will have to try some of that for sure! Always good to learn new tricks to improve life on the road (and even at home ;) Wishing you all the best, E&M

Beautiful morning 🌄 I'm glad you didn't stay in the deep woods with wolves and hunters. Have a great day of cycling 👍🙂
l have binge watched your videos and thoroughly enjoyed your adventures. Looking forward to those to come. Let us know when you come over here to Australia. I am Living The Van Life, travelling in a campervan as my home. Keep exploring and enjoy the ride of life as l do, Janine
Great to see you guys out on the road again, love following your adventures
Thanks John :)
Love that you see it as a gift to yourself :)
Black Gold! That sums it up for me.
😊
Your clips become more and more cinematic. So cool to see, very beautiful. Good luck on your adventures. And no, I don't need coffee, but never have.
Thanks Miranda :) Great to not need coffee. Maybe one day...
It’s a ritual, sacred, no guilt, and to fully celebrated……after all we’re just human with our unique strengths and limitations = it’s a gift from our Loving Creator 😁 BTW I enjoy ALL your excellent videos: THANK YOU BOTH
5:48 Thanks for the app... I'll be using on my bikepacking around Europe🚴🏼♂️👍🏼🇧🇷
Thanks 😊 All the Best, E&M
Coffee can`t live without it :D
We have the same blessing/burden 😉
Some great video! Must admit that I jumped a mile at 12:08 !
Thanks Neilhuny! Not sure what you mean. You didn't like the going into Luxembourg part...?
Would love to visit there someday Barrie! Sounds beautiful up there :)
Yes, I definitely need coffee at home and when bike camping
It's the fuel of society!
video editing skills on point.
Hi, the video with the channel is very cool, greetings from Indonesia 🇮🇩🙏
Ah, coffee. 👍 ✌️
yes, I'm a coffee addict too. But I take powder coffee (those small sachets) with me, much easier
They are very convenient! We sometimes use them to if ground coffee can't be found.
COFFEE! ALWAYS!!
Wolves at bedtime isn’t a pleasantry. You do awesome ! My coffee ritual is so very essential for happiness . I wouldn’t be able to pry one eye opened without it.
😂 That sounds like you really need it!!
@@WheelstoWander it helps the gears shift easy. ✅
Hi Very interesting video. I Couldn't wait new. It makes me think obout another trip
Thank you Mariusz! Are you touring as well? All the Best
Well, I know it sounds crazy. I lived in this perfect little town called Camarillo in California. It has the 2nd best climate in the world besides Monaco. 70 degrees year round, even in winter. 10 minutes from the beach. And the mountains meet the beach. It was incredible.
Sounds incredible indeed 👌🏼 Why move?
great adventure guys - keep safe
Thanks 😊
"Big, dark, scary forest with wolves" ha ...I would probably agree!!!
Rain or shine that coffee is going to be mine☕
😆
There was flash flooding in Western Germany and Eastern Belgium in July 2021.
i need tea and food to get me going in the morning, no good with out my tea
Thanks for letting us now Steve. We didn't fully realise that. Tea also sounds great ;)
I couldn't do without coffee for a long time (and also didn't want to), but I switched to decaffeinated coffee about a year ago when I noticed that it mostly irritates my stomach, makes me sweaty/jittery and gives me headaches when I dont drink it, but doesn't actually wake me up.
On the coffee front, have you guys tried matcha tea? You could still have the morning ritual of making in fact even more so, even on the road.
Not yet, we are planning on trying that one day... Thanks for the tip!
Wolves. That didn't sound like fun. Another beautiful country side. Take care, Al
Thanks Al! A bit scary but we love that they are part of our ever more populated part of the world. All the best, E&M
Amazing 👍🏼👍🏼
Amazing filming skills 😃do you spend loads time colorgrading?
Thanks Tamas! Yes, we do spend quite a chunk of time color grading.
I'm planning to cycle from Luxembourg to London. :D
Good luck 🍀
@@WheelstoWander Thanx
Coffee - essential!
That would be strange an amazing at the same time ;) Wow, 7, that's young! I think so too, NL is just to flat and artificial to be wild!
Beautyful esse touring. Brasil...
Nice tour...thanks for sharing...I guess that the gunshots heard at the beginning of the video might be the sounds made to protect the cornfields from the birds...
Thanks! It most definitely was a gunshot. Quite a loud one at that, like a shotgun. It was coming from the forest too.
The coffee is more important than a bicycle for bicycle touring 🎉
😆 Haha, it almost is!
yes! i need and enjoy coffee!!!
Nice! Any favourite flavour profile?
Hi guys 🙏 I'm Gauri watching from kathmandu have nice journey 👍👍👍😀
Thank you Gauri :) Wishing you all the best!
Lovely video as always. Go live my dream ;-)
Haha, thanks! Join anytime ;)
Very scary first night in Belgium. I hope some day you can find nice home in small village, near the sea and surrounding by the mountain.
Thank you! So kind of you 😊 Best wishes, E&M
Im not a coffee drinker. More of a tea drinker. But when I used to backpack a lot, I drank cocoa. Lots of it.
Hallo E&M, I really love to watch your films, the imagery. Which camera are you using?
Thanks Ju! We are using the Sony A6000. One with a Sony 18-105 F4 and one with an Tamron 17-70 F2.8. Sometimes we also use the Samyany 12 F2.0. Hope this help!! All the Best
Hi, this Sadiq Shah from Karachi Pakistan, I used to be a solo traveller on a motorcycle back in early 80's I traveled from Europe to Morocco upto CPe Town then layer went to Middle East through Egypt and travelled all the way on my then modified Yamaha 900cc motorcycle called (midnight special) and did whatever modern travelers are posting on RUclips nowdays but back then there was no concepts of vlog nor Internet and digital video camers so... I did all this for 3 years after completing my studies at UK, what I see you guys going is really fascinating and it makes me wonder, can I do my sole travel on a motorcycle at the age of 58 years because I can't do it on bike now😊 😂
Nice trip. 👍
Thanks :)
Done watching, I always enjoy watching your Vlog.waiting for another episode of your journey.. Ridesafe EandM
Thank so much Bayang :)
Thanks, Nice
😊
Nice video! I would like to tour Europe by bike as well! You definitely don't need coffee, but it will take time to get used to not drinking it. However, if drinking coffee works fine for you, keep drinking it :)
Thanks Maurits! By any means do, try to be safe and enjoy :) Coffee is a bit of a love/hate sometimes if you know what I mean...
@@WheelstoWander I understand you perfectly, I don't drink coffee, but I have the same sentiment about chocolate! 🙈
Hello from Türkiye . Be safe, 🤗 Have a great travel .
