- German military uniforms from the era of the second world war are very famous for many reasons, but one of the biggest reasons is that they looked quite attractive. And those uniforms have been featured and portrayed in Hollywood many times, further propagating their popularity. Even in the German war machine and the armed forces, the uniform of SS stands out as being the single most attractive uniform of the WW2-era. In this video, I do an in-depth analysis, in Hindi, of why Nazi uniforms are considered so attractive even today.

Edit- @10:00 the Totenkopf was not the creation of the “Third reich” but was rather a symbol tracing its origin to the Prussian times. In fact after the creation of a unified German Empire almost all the Prussian military tradition were passed on to the German military. You can even see heavy Prussian influence in today’s Bundeswehr.
take a look at the field uniforms of allied commanders vs german military commanders, when they were in action, and see the amount of decorations on their respective uniforms. You will notice that even when allied commanders were victorious and had lots of medals, their uniforms look less "shiny" than their german counterparts. You are right about totenkopf. It had been used in the military way before the third reich

SS was not a Military Organisation it was just a Paramilitary Force (Black Shirts) but they were not a militia like SA Stormtroopers or Brown Shirts .....German Army uniform were not like SS .... Ordinary German Soldiers in the frontline used to wear combat uniform which were also little similar to the ceremonial uniform just a little bit .....But those uniforms were more comfortable than the ceremonial uniforms....Most of the SS divisions were not used in direct combat operations so their uniform were always polished and they used to wear polished ceremonial uniform .... but SS Panzer divisions were employed in many battles such as Battle of Stalingrad/Battle of Moscow and in France During the Normandy landing, 2 SS Panzer divisions were deployed near the Normandy beach but the SS refused to obey the order of Field Marshal Rommel because they are a seperate Force and they demanded a direct command order by the Fuhrer or Himmler ...... If the defending german soldiers get a backup of 2 armored divisions right at that time may this amphibious landing could be foiled..........🪖🎖🪖
