Great guide! My usual resolution is 2560x1440, but I had SCII running at the default 1920x1080. I always thought my mouse felt a little off, but figured I had to be imagining it. Big ups
@@ESChampgood afternoon and I found for me that a dpi of 1250-1300 is better with an in-game sensitivity between 51-52% on a 1920x1080 monitor (full HD) and everything you mention about Windows 6/11 to play StarCraft II with a Corsair MM300 mousepad, my K.70 M.K2 rapidfire keyboard and Razer deathadder V2! The dpi that I mentioned is so as not to lose precision and speed, that is, a good balance between both to be fast when needed without losing the touch of precision!
This is amazing, thank you so much for sharing! Can you share what software do you use to test out the mouse position at 5:52? Would love to test it out myself.
isnt't there a way to increase the speed of the cursor? sadly my mouse is limited by 400, 800, 1600, 2400 etc and if I touch the sensitivity ingame it's going to mess with the 6/11 settings. idk I feel like I'm out of options
This is great. But Does having a 27" monitor make a difference? I played SC2 for years wondering why everyone else had/has this clean clear ultra detailed look, that I just couldn't replicate even though everything was set on 'extreme' and ultra.. One day after a driver update for my Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 I saw a surprising thing.. a notification saying 'your game is not optimised.. click here to optimise'. So I dis and immediately I noticed the in game resolution was set to a whopping 3620 x 2036 and was amazed to find that after years of thinking my machine was just broken.. I finally have the best, clearest, most detailed SC2 I've ever seen. I note FPS has taken a hit sometimes but, it's very pretty. And all it took was the auto-optimisatioh of my GPU driver one year. Does any of this affect mouse performance/ accuracy?
Your monitor size won't make the difference for your mouse accuracy but your resolution will affect your sensitivity. You'll need to increase your DPI by a bit to get a speed the feels "fast" and if you change resolutions, you'll have to adjust your DPI by the same ratio in order for it to feel the same way. I would be more concerned about the FPS personally.
@@ESChamp A way to easily control group units without having to reach out on to the keyboard. Its a minor thing I know but im looking into going pro so I just need as much info as possible on these minor tweeks to the game
we like to focus on the details here so this is the right place to ask that kind of question. If that's what you set out to do, I wouldn't recommend a numerical pad. When it comes to mice: form factor and weight come to mind to get right. I recommend a mouse that is light and feels good to your hand size/grip, focusing on keeping the muscle memory clear on your mouse hand. As for control group ease, I would look to tweak and customize your hotkey setup. *Personally* I like The Core Lite for not having to reach across the keyboard but it has a learning curve and it's not everyone's cup of tea, so you can also get a tweaked standard layout to get to your goal.
we did a video talking about the core: ruclips.net/video/CbERQTpeafs/видео.html its not a full tutorial , but there are links in description from people who put together the core. In the future, might do another guide on getting started with it. Hope this helps!
This hurts because i don't want the skips but even 1400 dpi is way to slow for my mouse movement on 2560x1440, is there any way i can make it faster without getting skips or making my DPI too high?
follow the instructions in the video and set SC2 and Windows sensitivity to neutral (6/11 -windows, 51% sc2) and adjust the DPI from your mouse. Since your resolution is 1.3x more than 1920 x 1080, try a dpi starting from 1400 up to 1900.

especially if you ran in fullscreen windowed mode you would definitely notice it
5:37 - Hey, I recognize that mousepad.
Great guide. Admittedly, I never looked into my settings this extensively, so I should probably do that.
still have the mouse pad, it's one of my treasures :) . Also naturally I am going to recommend looking into your settings

Good afternoon, so, Is better check than uncheck mouse sensibility because Is More fast the comunication between software or Windows?
Can you do one for Mac?
What is that program, "mouse movement recorder" you are using?
how do you solve the Scroll Drag Bug?
Also does anybody know where you can find the mouse movement tracker? I can't find it even with my best google foo
Спасибо за видео. Ты очень мне помог

This is all old, but how do you solve the Drag Scroll Bug?
Cleaning mouse sensor, upgrade firmware, upgrade controllers!
Does the same 1:1 sensitivity apply to Windows 11?
Yes!
Would you recommend a mouse with the numerical pad on the side ?
What would *you* be looking for from the numerical pad?

@ESChamp would I be able to get a link for the core lite keyboard I might look into that it would be a game changer

How do you even know this? I never seen anyone been talking about this in my 12 years in starcraft 2.

Noticed this to and would love to know what this program is
