I tbh love Toad. I think he's such a unique character. I loved his tv/movie appearances. But not the comics one... He just looked weird. But the movies/tv makes him look unique and has a sense of humor
Now, I remember Toad. I used to play XMen Next Dimension on the PS2, And I always played as Toad, who was well- built, green, dark green hair and all of his abilities. And that's how I'll remember Toad
It kinda baffles me that Toad is always treated as a throw away villain (except in the movies) when he posses powers similar to Spiderman, Beast, and Nightcrawler (minus teleporting).
Toad is definitely underestimated. In X-Men evolution his acrobatics was on par with nightcrawler's. Combined with slime and tongue he's certainly a formidable combatant for Beta level mutants and below. As well as some Alpha levels.
Lieutenant Nomad It's his opinion, respect it. Toad is one of my favorite villain in Marvel as well. You know, just because Toad isn't strong and dominant as the ones you've mentioned, it doesn't mean he is lame. Toad has a great personality and his power is unique, which is why I like him.
+Lieutenant Nomad Toad is really interesting and he goes through tons of character development, in the Ultimate comics he does a total 180, going from a terrorist to a gym teacher. He has a bad past, isn't powerful, isn't "handsome" or charismatic, he has to really work for what he has and it's great to see characters like that. They're uncommon and it's even better to see them succeed, even if only a little bit. Also why would you list Quicksilver in the list of awesome heroes when his sister is over 9000 times more badass? I'm talking about Polaris of course, she's wonderful and is one of my favorites personally. A pretty close 2nd or 3rd behind Toad and Groot.
I love how the 90s cartoon version was stuck with his hopping and vague "Makes gross slime with his skin" powers because literally everything else was an invention of the live action movies
Thank you Mojo! Toad is AWESOME!!!! I frakin' love his character. I prefer his Ultimate and movie version (ray park showed me that Toad can be an awesome looking fighter) but msot of his versions I've seen are unique and interesting. He is a compeleing character with a pretty badass set of skills. He might not be the strongest but he is one of the greatest. To end it I'll quote toad himself from the Mutant Academy 2 game - "Toad is the greatest" Oh and his X-men Evolution version was awesome. He wa snot Mortimer but he was still pretty cool. Punk toad is the best toad. ;)
I remember when the story X-men the 198 came out and it looked for a moment that Toad was going to be a bad ass. I thought they were going to build up and make him a skilled character. Maybe an X-man. When I gave up on Marvel, he was a janitor.
Yeah but he's Scottish and it would be almost impossible for him to do the voice as someone who has met him irl he has the thickest Scottish accent but he does have the fighting skill and the comic accurate height wolverine is like 5ft 3 in the comics
My favourite mutant. It bugs me that all the other mutants in newer animations, etc, have kept their iconic looks, yet Toad was made to look stupid. He was completely unrecognizable, and looked more like a bad lizard knockoff of Nightcrawler than Toad. I honestly thought it was a new character. It’s so disappointing that animators and comic artists would disrespect his character like that, while keeping the Blob, Pyro, Avalanche, Mystique, Scarlet Witch, Quick Silver and Magneto the same.

Toad in X Men: Evolution was a surprisingly well developed character later on.
Yep. Evo Toad doesn't get enough love.
@@aaronmoreton true
Hes actually my favorite character
The simp
Toad is one of my most favorite villains,to me he's one of the best

His ultimate version is really cool looking
@@VampireWitchcraft True. But I've never understood why he has pointed ears and teeth with that design.
Whomever wrote that Storm line in X-Men needs a good flogging.
Josh Wheaton ?
Agreed.
Froppy:Dad is that you?
Toad:*Quickly hop's away*
Lol nice
I think Toad was Tsuyu inspiration for the character.

It will become the hero that everyone needs.......Electoad
Afiqopro Haha, I prefer your answer.
UnkeptMoss328 I never understood that line said by storm.
it makes zero sense.
SANIC Yeah, it was pretty cheesy...
It gets sliced in half and falls down a pit?
Love you guys for doing this. My #1 favorite Mutant!
Gotta slime Jean Grey some more!
#1 favorite. Why though? I liked him in wolverine and the xmen school stuff
@@ToroRosso20 You right, tho. Scott ain't hitting that. He on that Diamond Girl like he Stevie B or something 🤣

@@josephwinborne3620 Evolution, the the first movie, and WatXM. Then I found out that I relate too much during his time as the janitor
Supervillain? From the looks of things, he has a hard time being an ordinary villain
Meteorlink he's awesome

Somehow, I KNEW That this Amphibian-like supervillain would make his warty-like appearance in the supervillain origin spotlight list one day!
"You wanna know what happens to a toad when it gets struck by lightning? The worst quote in the entire marvel universe"
Thank you!
Toad is definitely underestimated. In X-Men evolution his acrobatics was on par with nightcrawler's. Combined with slime and tongue he's certainly a formidable combatant for Beta level mutants and below. As well as some Alpha levels.
Toad in x men evolution was the best version that show should have been longer
Hitlow FTW maybe it can by being a part of the 6th season of Teen Titans
+Damian Prock he's marvel & that show is crap
Toad is my favorite marvel character

***** Yeah. Interesting choice! My favorite villain is the Juggernaut and superhero is Iron Fist
Iron Fist is my #2! He's awesome!
+Lieutenant Nomad really? Of all the awesome characters you only focus on the popular ones?

If I woke up tomorrow morning, and got the powers and abilities I want from Toad, I would be so happy.
Supervillain Origins: The Shredder
Like Darth Maul, this guy doesn't talk much in the movies.
And Ray Park plays all three of them.
This was made on birthday
Happy birthday.
+Revanaught probably uploaded
Did You Know? The actor who played Toad in X-Men (2000) also played Darth Maul in The Phantom Menace.
Watching X-Men Evolution and Toad is in my top three favorite characters of that show
Toad has always been in my top 10 marvel characters
Do more of these please!
So this is not about the Mario character. :(
Erik Blidner Unfortunately :(
But actually, come to think of it; origins of video game characters is a pretty epic idea!
***** Yeah, I'll go suggest it then!
Would have been more entertaining for sure if it was the mario character. Haha. :)
Look at the thumbnail. Totally a mushroom guy.
+UnkeptMoss328 while your at it suggest Shrek vs Madagascar,Nick Live Action vs Disney Live Action,Sesame Street vs Simpsons,& Muppets vs Looney Tunes
I love the X-Men evolution version of toad
Out of all the different versions of Toad, my favorite has to be the X-Men Evolution version.
Same here. He's one of the main reasons why I wish I had frog powers.
they left out....so....much....this pains me. how could you leave out so much of his character???
His rerslly name is Mike Polanski so ill give ya tthat

Best version of Toad is the one in "X-Men-Evolution". He often stole the show there.
Toad the only character to get his own theme song
I had a really weird crush on Toad when I saw the x men film..
Lol cool
Real
Toad really is built like Toad
X-Men Forever Toad looks like Dermott Fictel from The Venture Bros.
I remember when the story X-men the 198 came out and it looked for a moment that Toad was going to be a bad ass. I thought they were going to build up and make him a skilled character. Maybe an X-man.
When I gave up on Marvel, he was a janitor.
Sorry, Mario, but your princess is in another castle!
oh now I know about toad's origin I always thought he was just an extra sort of character.
He’s awesome
I actually looked for this video last night and was sad it didn't exist. Problem solved.
Thought it was Akuma for a second in the thumbnail.
Coincidence one of my favorite comic book villains origins is released on my birthday? I think not!!!
The early X-Force issues had a really good Toad storyline.
Interesting note..the actor that played Toad was also Darth Maul. He should have been Wolverine, he got the look and skills.
Yeah but he's Scottish and it would be almost impossible for him to do the voice as someone who has met him irl he has the thickest Scottish accent but he does have the fighting skill and the comic accurate height wolverine is like 5ft 3 in the comics
i loved toad in evolution
Same
Literally thought the thumbnail was syndrome from the incredibles... Day made.
i love toad he not scared to use his or of being a mutant
he comes across as a complete battle toad
He was last working at the Jean Grey school for Wolverine/Storm
Nothing brought up with his slime attack?
Pause at 0:20 am I the only one that thinks that he looks like the TF2 Engineer
Nope.
An origin that says he touched this and was experimented on. Wow, thought it'd be smarter.
"No one leaps better then the toad"
*AHEM* Batroc the leader *AHEM*
My favorite Brotherhood member

Omg! You should definitely do Thanos next!!
They already did Thanos.
Yeah.
My favorite villain 😜
YOU WANT ME TO MAKE YOU MACARONI?
Would you please consider doing Reverse Flash next?
Toad s one of my favorite character s
Toad needs to be more recongnized
Toad is better as a character in the comics then the movies or series
Please please please do Black Canary next 😍
Supervillain origins: Wreck it Ralph
"No one leaps better than the toad" There is literally a villain named Bartoc the Leaper

SORRY MARIO, BUT OUR PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE!
Live action Toad vs. Nightcrawler is what everyone wanted to see. Days of future past version looked terrible
Who is here after watching the new marvel contest of champion... 7th anniversary video 😅 ... smash like
My favorite version of Toad is the X-Men Evolution version.
This is surprising
Wow, a WatchMojo video which is shorter than 5 minutes!
My favourite mutant.

🎶T-O-A-D Toooaad.
Movie Toad is best toad.
Always origin stories on less known heroes or villains, do an origin story on someone more complex and intriguing
What if toad had some kind of recreates offspring like the wolverines daughter and the kid had the same powers and his nickname was "tree frog"
I always thought his character fit more within the spiderman universe more than the xmen one
Toad and Spider-Man both marvel same universe
under 301!
The thumbnail reminds sooo much of that guy in snl
I only like the character because of Ray Parker's portrayal in X-Men.
I got two suggestions:
Superhero origins: Black Canary
Supervillain origins: Lady Shiva
cable and the reverse flash
Inspired by Edgar Allen Poe's character "Hop-Frog".
In X-men evolution he's identity name is Todd Tolansky
I still say Darth Mawl made Toad SOMEWHAT cool. (I absolutely HATED the character before seeing Ray Park's performance in 2000.)
3:38 Good one...
I hate all these ads! Until recently, there would only be one before a video. There are too many. Stop it, RUclips!
Toad's powers are indeed frog-like? Don't you mean toad-like?
