Fits well into my space, I painted the back green. It's very easy to customize just the back if that's something you want to do. I would suggest sanding it first before painting, I got a little impatient. The shelves ruclips.net/user/postUgkxM8H4CjCb79vzeyvgaFMdzmLm88oVFPMkare pretty small so keep that in mind if you're going to have it horizontal that some books won't fit. I like the snug look that it has. Good small shelf if you don't have much space, but not too small. Simple to put together, though you'll need your own tools, a screwdriver and a mallet/hammer, it's easiest to do with another person.

I came for the help building a billy book case and watched you lay flooring ?! I was like, wait what?! Can you explain how and why you decided to do the floor?
The video is titled Master Closet Makeover! Not how to assemble Billy bookcases! How to build the Billy book case comes with the directions in the package how u style it is up to you! I changed my floors because i didn’t want carpet in my closet! This video is to show my closet transformation. Building a bookcase and making someone watch that in full is like watching paint DRY LOL… hope your building goes well the directions in the packaging are very simple

Hi the gold rods used to hang clothes are actually white rods from IKEA i spray painted them gold using Metallic gold spray paint!

Thank you! I don’t know the measurements of my closet but if you go on ikea website u can get the measurements of any book case or shelving u have in mind and can see what will fit for your space! I measure my walls not in total but by seeing how many of each I can get on each wall!

Hi I have a combo of Billy book cases but the one with poles are called IKEA Pax and ikea sells the poles also!

Hi I used bill book cases plus extenders, I also used oxberg doors for some Billy bookcases the shelves come with them and I’m not sure the name of the one that holds my purses but I think it falls under the Billy bookcase family! All of them are from IKEA the gold handles are from Amazon but ikea sells them in kitchen area also and the glass shelf is also from IKEA in the same area as the Billy and doors!

What’s the size on the Billy bookshelf ? And did you get more shelf
I belive its 31.5 the shelves are i believe 11inchs deep you can find the exact on ikeas website. Yes I always check Ikeas "As Is" section for additional shelves they are usually $5-$6 there! Hope this helps!

Yes they sell them specifically for this book shelf. you can type online Billy bookshelf glass shelf or ask rep at the store
how many book cases did you have to buy
I would suggest measuring your space and going on ikeas website and look at the book cases sizes and see what is able to fit in your space
