The patterns/overlays you used aren't my style, but your steps are so clearly laid out that I could easily adapt this for myself. Definitely trying some of these ideas for my own bedroom & closet.

The closet in my master bedroom isn’t that big either so since we have two guest rooms, I decided to use the smaller one as a walk in closet. Problem solved

You are def a gift from God....why I just purchased 4 of those shelves 3 days ago from someone on market place for $20 and I was concerned about the gaps in the shelves and I love the peg board idea with the mirrors as I can store my craft supplies inside and I went to buy mirrors today and said I would go to walmart as they were cheaper but didnt want to loose the wall space so the peg board idea is brilliant!! That closet is bigger than every closet I have in my home put together and I own. Builders were not interested in closet space when my house was built in 1942. They also were not interested in kitchen counter space or food storage.
Hi Autumn if you are in a home that you own, I suggest having new dowels inserted (although, I live in a rental, I did it anyway lol). My closets are small non walk-in. My friend (a handy woman lol) installed double dowels with one up to the ceiling with enough space to freely place a hanger. My full length dresses and skirts are on the top dowel with shirts/short skirts on the bottom. The bottom dowel's "height" was figured out by using the length of my longest dress. I still have room on the floor for 2 large bins under my shirts and short skirts. I was shocked at how much more room I had...and I can see my stuff. I have a crap load of clothes and I actual wear them all. My dowels are the heavy duty metal adjustable ones from Home Depot. She used 2x4s measured to the depth of my closet (2 ft). Using very long screws (I don't know how long but she made a point to stress the importance of this) she affixed the 2 by 4s to the wall's studs. She also used those screw "holders". The closet that she did this in is 5ft w × 2ft d x 9ft height. I'm 5'6". I use a 16 inch high chair to reach items. Shorter people may need a 3 or 4 foot ladder. I live in a super old building. Very little of everything. Lol I hope this helps.
@ yep I don't have enough outlets either. I have a series of extension cords and power strips that do the trick. I also use those outlets that you plug in and they have 6 outlets on them. Game changer for me

My Mom passed away in February, so I'm living in her home, liquidating her fully furnished, 2800 sqft home. Mom LOVED crafts/organization projects long before DIY's were a thing. Plus, she has a huge woodworking shop with loads of tools and HUGE resources for more projects than I could ever think of. A small example, every single item you used in this video is already in the shop, except the shelf liner which is in a different part of the house. 🤦🏼♀️ My point... I pray that God will introduce me to someone in my area with at least part of your creativity, vision and knowledge. 🙏🏼 I'm not afraid of the hard work, but I don't even know where to start, and don't want to sell, donate, or get rid of something that would be useful in a future project. Namely, items I can use in my own space once the house is sold.

Most Dollar Tree’s have some awesome peel and stick labels for these types of storage bin. The best part about them is they peel off with no mess. So as you change seasons and what is in the bins you can change labels too without any fuss.

I'm just going to say, that I found your channel a couple of weeks ago, saw one video, and subscribed immediately after! Which is a rarity. Just in the nick of time, as I am about to move into a new apartment next month, my first place to myself. It's temporary, as I'm going to grad school, so I don't want to buy a bunch of things and waste money. So finding your channel was a Godsend because now I have ways to fill and Glam up my apartment without spending much!

Most Dollar Tree’s have some awesome peel and stick labels for these types of storage bin. The best part about them is they peel off with no mess. So as you change seasons and what is in the bins you can change labels too without any fuss.
