The Motor Grader EV is an interesting concept. The big questions are how long can it operate before needing to be recharged, and how long does recharging take? Yes, an ICE grader also needs to be refueled periodically, but refueling only takes as long as it is required to refill the fuel tank.
I’ve pretty much got to run the evolution of graders. Started on an old cat number 12 from the 60s… for the amount of work we got done with that machine used in fuel it…It was a very efficient machine. I believe the future is hydrogen… I am in the energy business now and when the largest gas and electric company in the nation is converting things to hydrogen storage… Might want to take notice.
Witnessing Modern Heavy Machines in action is like observing a symphony of progress, where each piece of equipment plays a crucial role in orchestrating a more sustainable and productive future for farming.
9:00. Thats all great until you realize its primarily recharged by coal and it will lose charging capacity over time and ultimately produce a huge toxic dead battery that nobody knows how to dispose of or recycle (economically). Electric is lose/lose. Want to truly go green? Then check out hydrogen options.

Thumbs up for the video. It's interesting that increasingly large graders were built until a scale was reached where they were too big to be transportable . As for electric graders, it sounds nice for underground mines. But for above ground applications, the energy density of battery technology is currently nowhere near sufficient.
The electric motor grader does not off set that much carbon that electricity has to be produced somewhere most likely using fossil fuels emitting carbon/co2.
The ACCO sat since mid 80s and could not be repaired to running order. says a lot about European equipment. I’ve seen CAT equipment built in the 50s and 60s still running along with others ( Dresser, Deere, Cedarapids, Manitoac and other American companies).
it doesn't say anything at all, they were literally functionally one-off, its not as if there haven't been plenty of US low production volume and one-off made over the years that have intrinsically suffered the same fate, in that no one has the time or impetus to want of save them rather than recouping some money in scrapping.
Built with almost all commercial parts, mostly CAT and Detroit, for a large construction project in Libya just before USA f**ked up everything as their usual. It wasn't unfixable, simply it had no purpose doing it, and since the owning company closed due to death of the owner and sudden his son, the only offer has been from a French firm to scrap it 😢

The sheer power and technology packed in these machines is mind-blowing.
Máquinas simplesmente incríveis!

You beat me to it. Zero point energy perhaps haha?
I'd consider replaceable battery packs instead of just connect it to be charged. It would require standardized battery packs though.

What is the fuel source used to generate the electricity to recharge it??? Coal? Natural Gas? It's a hoax.
As with every EV out there, it's a mirage and a fallacy.
It's really amazing and very extraordinarily sophisticated heavy equipment today.
Impressionante máquina gigante 😮
Witnessing Modern Heavy Machines in action is like observing a symphony of progress, where each piece of equipment plays a crucial role in orchestrating a more sustainable and productive future for farming.
Tell that to the Amish, they actually farm profitable
So cold. It's like 40C out. 🥶
These heavy machines are amazing and the engineers are so smart !
magnificent video and sharing, thank you
innovative manufacture and ingenious thinking
just fantastic
👊🔥‼️
MONSTER MACHINE!!!!!!!! EXCELENT!!!!!!

EV would be useless for cold weather snow removal. Also, if it used for underground and catches fire, everybody is in extreme danger.

I like how they tried to put the green thing in there
The video is really interesting, I like it
great video

Kids and men be looking at these machines and be like: Hell yeah!
2:05 Nothing special about operating below 40 degrees Celsius.
Minus 40, would be more impressive ,as there would be quite a bit more snow.
I'm sure when those batteries burn inside the mine, everything will be fine.
BONJOUR DE LA FRANCE
Ok the bes good jop
The only people that think this is amay are not people that work with heavy equipment

Bingo.
These heavy machines are amazing and the engineers are so smart
What about VOLVO graders?
😄👍🏿Good Stuff
The ACCO blade would have made ongoing revenue from admissions rather than a onetime payment for scrap 😒
Sad that the grader is gone!
Looks like a CAT CLONE.
It is Chinese don't make anything they copy.
@@edwardmartinez9459. They copy everything except quality.
that good video
I like it
Who’d want to buy Chinese crap when CAT are on this earth!!!
Oh how I love BIG !
🇳🇵im interested . im grader opretor from Nepal 👍️
Whoa! Chris Let's Dig 18" should see this!😄😄
Since when is under 40 degrees Celsius cold😮😂😂
Yeah, 40C is 104F. So the Chinese grader handles all the snow with ease, I'm sure.
Doesn't take a Chinese Genius to understand what he meant
Yea 40c is hot aF
@Far_outlook machines??? What does that have to do with temperature?
its not cold but 40 * Fahrenheit is!
the Chinses grader is just a stolen and rebranded CAT 24 grader
Below 40C..........wow that's cold ??????
So Chinas Xuzhou reverse engineers the Car grader and celebrates. Sounds about right.
Will the Aussies buy these?

Why?
One 100T might be in Kentucky
The one in this video thats yellow is the one in Kentucky.
Am need use build new river
Only 600 HP?
Use drill long new river arond mountain
When you say 40 degrees celcius it doesnt mean squat to me.
It doesn't make sense to me. Without investigation I know it's around 100 F.
Strange that you don't understand the temperature units used by about 94% of the world's population! What kind of backward country do you live in?
You can present
All these machines are not doing a good job - they are doing a GRADE job. Hah! 😁😁😁😜
Blocked for deceptive thumb.
Must be nice to copy the experts without care.
Wow xcmg have managed to copy and rip-off Cat's 24 grader how original and innovative 😂😂😂
The Chinese at it again copying designs.
Interesting?? 😮😅

These two Acco machines have never worked. they were supposed to go to Libya but due to political instability they were never sent.
