Watching these antique machines reminds me of my old friend who inherited his father’s vintage steam tractor. It was rusted and broken, but he spent years restoring it. Every time it roared to life, he said it felt like reconnecting with his father, keeping his legacy alive through every turn of the engine.
AI has a long way to go if the story telling features are as inaccurate as this video suggests. It describes a tractor made in 1935 while displaying videos of a modern Caterpillar, and describes a D8 while showing a little pony tractor. Caterpillar made several different versions of bulldozers and they made a lot more than 30 D8’s. Maybe 30,000 or more by the 1960’s. D8’s D6’s D4’s and many others. They were a major supplier of bulldozers during World War Two.
Some inaccurate information. Mostly gas & diesel engines portrayed as ‘steam shovels’ cat 60’s & early gas, oil & diesel tractors back to approximately 1917 referred to as ‘steam tractors’
The steam traction engine which was used in factories and on farms not just pulling equipment it was used to power the shearers clippers came before the Holt steam tractor
@@atoitoh2989 yes how can he convey such inaccurate information, many people will be deceived with this information, how to warn him to stop conveying this false information?
Pity the commentary and captions are so in accurate, I wonder if the guy, has ever seen a Sentinal, so much inaccuracy, it was never good off road, due to it solid tyres on many models and very high unlaiden weight due to the coal and water it had to carry, before being able to carry a relatively small load..
Lot of silly errors rather spoil this video. Calling diesel powered shovels as powered by steam. Making Garrett portable engines invented in 1947 instead of 1847. A good argument for getting someone else to view a video prior to posting.
Early IH machines like the TD 24, TD 18, TD 14 & TD 9 were all dual fuel engines, they started on petrol and once warmed up switched over to diesel so they had a small petrol tank under the bonnet. CAT also had a 2 cylinder petrol motor on their machines to start the diesel engine.
Every time you have a transition in this video, you have terrible noise during the transition. I really think you might think it is COOL or OK but YOU LISTEN to the full 26 minute video and tell me what you really think for the NOISE at EVERY transition. TRANSITIONS, lets think about TRANSITIONS. When you watch a movie or TV show you will NEVER see TRANSITIONS. SOOOOOOOO, WHY USE TRANSITIONS AND THE NOISE YOU HAVE WITH HYOURS?????????????????

Better check the design dates on some of those machines... they're far older than you say.

MANY Incorrect Years listed ! 1947 STEAM Tractor ? NOT !
The Silver Spade was awesome I'd like to operate it cause it looks like it would a great experience.
I ran a 1958 D8 cat.. blade 13ft 6 in wide...and hauled it
Never seen so much inaccurate information!
Loaded with mistakes. Good on him for trying, but The Old Farmer doesn't seem to know much about machinery.

Should be in 1800s steam power
Wow😲😲😲

It seems to me that this video has been done using AI. And AI does not know what is the purpose of the job.
Why does a Diesel have to carry ANY Gasoline ?
Early IH machines like the TD 24, TD 18, TD 14 & TD 9 were all dual fuel engines, they started on petrol and once warmed up switched over to diesel so they had a small petrol tank under the bonnet. CAT also had a 2 cylinder petrol motor on their machines to start the diesel engine.
cool
Diesel bulldozer held 270 gallons of gasoline?
wrong years on a couple there, like the 1947 portable steam engine and the Sentinal s4 , not 1993 for sure!
annoying mish-mash of pictures many of which are not relevant. And the Sentinel sure as heck wasn't 1993.
The "rocker shovel" is a bogger. Entire dialogue needs remake to remove inaccuracies. Thumb down ! Audio off.

Should keep to subject being described, too many diversions, D8 really got going in military WW2, did any non english speakers creat anything???????
