I use to be a healthy eating machine-then I started eating like him. I’ve medicated with alcohol and gained 40 lbs. After watching this video again- I realize I need to eat better to have a better relationship with myself.
You nailed it with the diet stuff. Of course it's not going to be a magic bullet and it's not going to cure autism because autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that you are born with. It is hardwired not acquired. BUT it will make a huge difference in how you feel because we do need all the help we can get.
My husband says he spent a lot of time in his room reading when he was growing up. His mother would try to get him to join the family but he preferred reading. He has just recently taken up fictional reading again and he can spend an entire day sitting in one spot and reading a book.
I figured he was miserable. I mentioned since it doesn’t look like we “fit” and can connect maybe he would be happier having a chance with someone else. We could divorce amicably and be friends. Heck if it was for financial reasons we were staying together we could be roommates- kinda like we are now. I’ve had to detach to save me from more pain. We don’t have sex anyway. At least it give me a little hope I could be loved again. He went ballistic- Threatening to spend all $ we have on attorneys bringing me to court. I let him know -this would give him a chance too. To find someone with more of his interest. He’d rather me be lonely-with no connection wanting to die on a daily bases with a fake smile and be with him then let me go. What’s wrong with me He seems fine -no anxiety- mines out the roof-I have to work on it daily.
My husband was bullied and spanked a lot by his mom, wonder if he was showing signs of autism in that era, 60’s where maybe it was not understood or studied like today. He has horrible memories of that and he thinks the wives, (the ex and myself) are out to get him, he has ADHD for sure, but takes no meds. Almost like he’s in denial, his sisters made a comment that he may be like his mom. She’s impossible.
