Thanks Jordan, my mum recently passed away (she was only 50) and I’m struggling as a young 20’s to be able to stay within a budget especially for food for an entire household as my dad isn’t coping well with the passing of my mum and I’ve never had to have this responsibility. Your tips are helping us so much x
I am sorry for your loss. When my mother moved away I started cooking for my dad and I because he has dietary restrictions. It is not easy, and so I have followed a lot of what Jordan has taught in this video and previous videos. We lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment for a few years so food storage and space overall was small. Always do what you can at the end of the day, so dont beat yourself up over making exceptions to the grocery rules. We still have a small freezer so only the big ticket items like meat and freezer meals are in there. Since, my dad bought a small house, so the kitchen got an upgrade. I am leaving for university soon so even though I am already equipped with this info, cooking for one will be a learning curve. Her best tip I have used is shelf cooking! It keeps me from neglecting any of the sale items I stocked up on from previous grocery runs.
For those of us that don’t do instagram or any other social media I just want to say that I really appreciate these videos. I am happy to see you Jordan. Glad to see the family is doing well. I look forward to see you each week!
I live alone so I normally cook at least a double batch of everything and freeze individual meals that are ready to pop into the oven. I had my shoulder replaced a year ago and worked really hard over a 3 week time to get meals cooked and frozen. The day I had my surgery I had 104 meals in the freezer. There was over 20 different items. I also had cooked and shredded chicken that I could fix in a multitude of ways. Also, cooked ground beef in ziplock bags. I even made a huge batch of homemade scalloped potatoes in cheese sauce. I packaged this in freezer bags and froze them flat for easy stacking. I had beef and chicken enchiladas... several Italian meals. Meatballs and meatloaf ready to pop in the oven... a full package of French bread already buttered and seasoned with garlic. I always do this. I lay the pieces of bread on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper until frozen then store in a freezer bsg. Cooking for one surely has to be as challenging as cooking for a large family. Waste can be a real problem.
What I do for storage, I have containers I bought from dollar tree and I put snacks and other dry ingredients into those. They stack so much easier then the original boxes, and it saves room. For cold stuff, what I am doing currently because we just moved into a new house and it is still winter outside, I have my freezer stuff sitting in a tote on my front porch lol, but that is only until we get our other fridge/freezer from our old house into our new one. I also went to goodwill and bought this rundown old hutch that use to have glass on the doors but doesn't anymore, I have my canned foods and potatoes on the shelves and my containers of dried goods on top of it (don't worry, it is sturdy enough). In our new house (built in 1910), there is a small little nook that historically was used as a dining room, but that is not doable for my family, so we use it as our pantry (which hold the hutch and soon the fridge/freezer). In our last house, it was a 1970's mobile home trailer with absolutely no cupboards, drawers, closets, nor shelves when we moved in; we went to yard sales and bought a display shelf/case that I used for dishes, small appliances, and other dry goods. My husband used apple barrels to build shelves in a corner of the kitchen too, which we also used as shelves for dry foods. It took a lot of trial and error to figure out what was going to fit where, so we couldn't buy in bulk at that time (plus we ended up developing a mouse infestation, so I couldn't bring myself to buy bulk because it would all just ruined. Now we have moved into a house we just bought and I can bulk shop again). Now we live in a different house, that we just bought a week ago, and we have a lot more space, maybe not to some but it is for us. Which means it's not as stressful to find spots for things, unless my husband tries to take over a place for his random stuff such as the utility closet.
Where you live, do you have local farmers? We finally bought our first 1/4 cow from a local farmer. It was an incredible deal, such delicious meat, it’ll feed our fam of 6 for a year, and we used our money to support a local farmer and butcher. I can’t believe I waited so long to try this! Yes it’s an investment up front, but it is saving us in the long run.
Being the holder of the family purse strings has never been a popular job, but with the uncertainty of supply and rocketing costs we have even more of a challenge and a dounting one at that. Never underestimate the peace of mind in a well stocked and organised kitchen. And you can make it look glamorous too X
I would love a video on creative food storage. The apartment the kids and I live in is really small. I actually use our front closet as food storage since the only other thing in the closet is winter coats.
Look for under bed storage containers, space saving vaccum bags for out of season clothes, and over the door storage. These are some of the things that my family of 5 has done.
Just like Quiana said vacuum bags are a life saver! Dollar Tree has vacuum seal bags for a $1 and during the holidays vacuum saver bags always go on sale. Out of season clothes vacuum seal them and store the vacuum sealed bags in suitcases. Tip I found to use every inch of space in the suitcase is put the empty bag in the suitcase then fill it and suck the air out inside the suitcase. Where do you put the suitcases of out of season clothes think of using a day bed with a bed skirt instead of a couch in the living rom because you would be amazed the amount of storage you gain! Old suitcases you can get very cheap or free. These are the absolute greatest storage tool. I use old suitcases as my pantry as well and store them under the beds that also have bed skirts. If you need more space under the bed buy bed risers and raise the bed up. I hope these tips help you
When we lived in an apartment, We put our small chest freezer in our coat closet sideways so the cord was sticking out to plug in. Also the cleaning/bathroom towel closet in the hallway had laundry and cleaning on bottom but canned items on the rest of the shelf with the broom in the corner of the kitchen (those was the only two closets in the house).
What I did, I make shelfs close to the ceiling. From Costco I collect STRONG boxes ( even if only one side is strong) I cut in pieces and with ducktape and regular tape created custom size boxes. I bought a contact paper I like from Amazon and make them look pretty. Evebody always asked where I get those wood boxes which perfectly fit my shelfs. I just smile. There I store extra food. Looks good , keeps organized, cost very low. If any box worn out, just make another one.
We declutter a lot of our dishes and kitchen tools we were using and used the extra cupboard space to store canned goods and such in our small kitchen.
I am a family of 7 here. I'm telling yall get you a hunter friend. And a fishing friend. And a farmer friend. I now have 3 freezers full of pork and beef fish and venison.
At 16:33 you put your hand into the jar of minced garlic after using that same hand to handle meat. Might be smart to toss that garlic so you don’t risk food poisoning in the future. Trichinosis is not a fun activity for the family.
There's a cut in between touching the meat and handling the garlic in which she magically has on a glove. I think she took the time to wash her hand and put a glove on. She's fine.
I saw this too. Yes she did put a glove on but she did it 3 times..so now there is raw pork in her garlic... But I love her and her ideas, just a be careful note to peeps! ;-)
I was just about to comment the same thing. I was checking to see if anyone else had noticed. I have done this with pesto but realized right away and tossed the rest. It happens
You were the one who got me motivated to always have a stock pile of food on hand and encouraged me to get freezers. Even before it was a thing these past couple years. Thanks for that Jord!
I keep hearing about how high prices are and I've seen it... but... you are showing exactly what I do. Stock up on the bargains. We just had meatloaf for lunch with meat I bought on sale this summer. Our grocery (food only) budget is $200 a month for 2 adults. We've kept that for the past several years and I'm still finding bargains.
My life has slowly but surely changed from your tip's and tricks. Funnily enough, "you eat the elephant one bite a time" applied to my whole life ❤ so much love for you, your family and your mind!
I’m in Canada (Vancouver island, pricey area!!) and we manage to stick to $115 per person for month. All snacks, work and school lunches included. We don’t get takeout unless it’s a birthday!
Prices have definitely gone up Jordan! I work with a super low grocery budget for my family of 5 in California($300 monthly) and I have found that I have to be willing to change/vary my strategy, practice "0 waste", and not commit to one grocery store. We can still do this!😉👍
How do you do it? I live in Cali also and I've tried to do the 100.00 per person but I always go over...any suggestions.? I think Cali prices are way above everywhere else 😞
@@elenasabra2273 Lol... you are so cute. I've learned a lot over the years on my own through hard times and with people like Jordan Page, it takes practice and is not easy but it's possible.😊
@@veronicacparedes4521 Hi Vero! It's not easy, I have mentioned it on other comments here... but just imagine you really didn't have more than what you have budgeted for groceries(I have been there), and guess what- we make it happen:). I know is complicated that's why I share how I do it on some videos. I would say lower your budget little at a time Vero, because you are right- in California prices are very high on everything!🤷🏻♀️
I also want to add as a Kroger shopper and former employee, that Kroger still has butchers and you can get your meat cut there for FREE! They also run sales more often, and if they are out of something, ask for a rain check! :D Glad you're back, Jordan!!
More fatty beef ends up being way less meat after it is all cooked . So a pound of lean beef is still a pound of beef. A pond of 73% beef is 3/4 of a pound after it is cooked.
Here in CA prices have gone up on everything, & I mean EVERYTHING!!! Those Vacuum Sealers are so worth it and it saves you from having freezer burned meat all the time. I still remember that meat haul you did from last year ($5 for a rack of ribs, and you had 4 of them). I would like to see an updated Costco video, and even a Smith's video.
Jordan,I do the same thing! I cook for hrs once a month and then freeze the meals.SAVES SOOOOO MUCH TIME during the week when my daughter comes home from track starving and doesnt want to wait until I cook to eat a good meal.I just heat and then she can eat!
I love the idea of brand doesn't matter and I use to shop store brand all the time until we had a kiddo with severe allergies. Once that happened I learned brand does matter because she can't have anything that is processed in shared facilities etc.
5:10 I am studying food science and some of my peers are just NOW learning this! Food processing is all the same in regards to these simple ingredient items. If they have different ingredients, the label on the back is what will inform you of those details, NEVER the brand name or the hollow claims like “natural” and “clean.” If the FDA or other organization overseeing food quality does not define it, then the word or claim means nothing. And, those words like “organic” and “cage free” have very SPECIFIC definitions: I believe the USDA organic stamp demonstrates at least 95% of the product is organic, not 100%. 8:29 Another example: The label on that meat “USDA Choice” IS a legitimate claim. Choice is the grade of meat. The top 3 are prime, choice, and select, prime being the highest.
I have cooked from scratch for years. I coupon, & watch for sales. I have a small freezer, free, from a friend, in the garage. I shop from my house, for most every meal. I live alone, so I do have some freedom. I very rarely have food waste. It's time consuming, but being prepared is well worth it. The time you put into something, will be your reward. It's your call. Enjoyed your video. Be blessed.
Yes please more videos, ♡ all your content. Been watching you for years now and still can't believe you have 10 kids. God bless you mama. Thanks for the motivation and inspiration Jordan. ♡
Yes...I live in an apartment with my husband and son. Our apartment isn't super tiny (About 1200 square feet) but food storage is a challenge. Our freezer is always stuffed to the brim and most of that is stuff that we are eating now or will eat soon. We also don't have a ton of cabinet space. So food storage is for sure a problem. I would love to see some creative food storage hacks!
My dad bought a wire shelf rack and some baskets so we can put our dry goods like flour cereal pasta etc and it has helped so much with storage even in our tiny apartment it works just fine in the corner
Same, we have a family of 6 in a 2 bedroom apartment and the fridge/freezer isn't full sized (it was replaced with a "temporary" smaller fridge but temporary turned into forever)
Book shelves work wonders. I coupon and soo we have alot of food we also help feed my sister's family as well. But we have 5 of them we started with 2 and it just expanded as needed.i have one for baking can goods ect
@@bubbles__61104 We actually do have a bookshelf in our "laundry room" (pretty much just a closet with a washer/dryer). I also hung up some shelving in there as well! It is really just the freezer issue!!
Jordan, I’m not an intuitive cook and I love the way you use your food up so creatively. I need your cookbook ASAP!!! I swear, whatever the cost, I’ll buy it.
Great video! Have you ever considered learning to pressure can? I can 25 to 30% of the meat we buy. It’s awesome! It’s all pre-cooked, it’s all shelf stable, so super fast to go from jar to table. Plus I never have to worry about electricity going out or a deep freezer pooping out on me and losing hundreds or thousands of dollars of food for our family. We are a family of eight and I put up 400 to 500 jars a year of meat and vegetables that I buy on discount at the grocery store. Cannot tell you how much money it saves you and how convenient it is. It’s a little bit of work upfront, especially when you have young kids to look after (ours are all 8 and under so the house is basically a zoo almost days lol) but it’s well worth it!
I have a pressure canner that I've never even unboxed, and I've had it probably ten years! I bought it when I was hopeful of putting up green beans, but I've never been able to get them to grow. Anyway, that's a good idea to pressure cook meat, I'm glad to hear it's yummy! Do you cook it then pressure seal it?
Oh my gosh! I recently got pressure can supplies over the summer. Do you have a video on this? Never thought of doing meat. Subscribed to your channel anyway, feel like I can learn a lot from you.
I can hamburger and chicken...makes meal prep so easy and flexible!! With chicken, as an example, can be used in chicken stir fry, chicken salad for sandwiches, chicken pot pie, chicken soup...and the list can go on and on. Hamburger can be used in scramble hamburger subs, Shepard's pie, and spaghetti sauces. Canning meats free up spacez in the freezer and allows you to take advantage of sales.
Good to see you back .. thanks for your tips, love buy 3 use one .. yes any place can be food storage we keep large bags of sugar and flour in large storage container in extra bedroom ..xo
Just bumped into your page. Great tips!! My husband and I love Costco and when we come home with a produce, I immediately separate and store in the freezer. We purchased a chest freezer and put it in the garage. It comes in handy.
Glad you’re back! I’ve definitely been stockpiling a bit lately. I agree to an extent with brands not mattering. With certain products I feel like they do, depending on where you shop certain stores brand items taste off.
Holy, I need to move to the US, we can’t buy anything for anywhere near those prices in Canada. We have to raise all our meat since we just can’t afford to buy it in the store. A lot of work but it’s the only way we can eat well without paying insane prices. $4.99/lb is considered sale price here on chicken. Your videos always make me wish we lived in a more balanced income vs expenses province. Excellent video as always Jordan! 💜
I'm obsessed with the round condiment squeeze bottles. "Squeeze" is my favorite word. I love the squishy plasticity. My 4 reusable OXO bottles separately have mustard, ketchup, honey barbecue sauce and pancake syrup. I love to play with my 20 other empty "Farberware, OXO & Tablecraft" bottles. I like the "Choice, Houseables & Pinnacle Mercantile" bottles from the shopping websites. The round condiment squeeze bottles are used in the home kitchens, restaurants, school lunchrooms, food vendors, art studios and more places.
Loved this video. In the uk we don’t tend to have pantry’s, only have small kitchens and I have no garage. Would definitely be interested in food storage ways :) x
One thing a comment said earlier that I totally agree with is to raise your bed (if possible) to create more storage underneath. This has provided us a TON of extra space! Good luck to you!
I have the same problem of lack of space, small house, no pantry, no garage. Raising our bed is not an option because we got an Ikea bed with drawers underneath for our clothes because our bedroom has no room for dressers. Luckily we have a basement, but we have to limit any storage there to things that can handle humidity, so no boxed or dry items. Most of the time, we can't even afford to stock up even if we had the space. It's tough.
I love shopping at Walmart Supercenter. The store chain usually sold the large Plochman's mustard squeeze bottles. They're still sold by the Kroger store chain. The Walmart chain still sells the "French's mustard, Heinz ketchup, Kraft honey barbecue sauce & Mrs. Butterworth's pancake syrup" squeeze bottles that I occasionally buy.
yes on creative food storage video! I literally have 4 shelves in my fridge and a tiny shelf freezer (enough for about 2 1L Tupperware). I love meal prep but sometimes I end up with way more than I can store!
Good to see you back, I'd wondered where you'd been. After becoming disabled and pretty much housebound I can't go out and shop sales any more and I miss that. I have to use a delivery service through Walmart, but still shop online for the best prices they have. I've found their house brand, Great Value, is just about as good as a brand name for the most part, and much cheaper. Target has free shipping for most things when the order is over $35, and some good, cheaper store brands.
Hi!🙋🏾♀️ I live in Maryland & shop often at Walmart, Safeway, & BJ's online for home delivery. Walmart's delivery is free here after $35 & free if you do curbside. BJ's is free delivery after $75 and free if your able to do curbside 🛻 pickup!. I'll look into Target here. I wish you the best & I'll have you in my prayers 🙏🏾 Stay safe!
Big fan. Not sure if you released you were putting your gloved hand back into the garlic jar after touching raw pork. You might want to toss that garlic jar out now.
@@meshiesno oh definitely, I'm sure the garlic doesn't last very long in the page house either. I have a family of 3 and we go through that big Ole thing quick!
New to your channel. Starting watching because of Kimmy from she’s on her apron. Watched a few of your videos on food storage as well as this grocery haul. I’ll keep watching.
I've noticed that something are the same with name brand and store brand, but I have seen some store brand items that have extra ingredients in them that the name brand doesn't.
Great tips Jordan, the only problem in my family's case is that we have to go to butchers/specialty stores for our meat due to religious slaughtering practices. Unfortunately, that translates to higher prices than the norm and basically no sales on meat, ever! We've started turning more to vegetarian/meatless options to save both money and for health/environmental reasons. I'd love to know what some of your family's favourite non-meat meals are. Also, your offer to show options for people with storage issues (pantry/freezer) is great! While I personally have a good amount of storage, I constantly encounter people who are short on space and would love to share some of your tips with them (or simply direct them to your video). Thanks Jordan and a happy return to RUclips!
More comfortable does like this please! Single subscriber so I am in awe if how you and others do it! I do not have a pantry so I have had to designate a couple of my cabinets for food storage as well as using a small rolling pantry type cart. I also keep a small freezer in addition to the freezer space in my refrigerator. It allows me to stock up when items go on sale. Although I am single I am absolutely fascinated by channels like yours and others similar to it. I just don't know how you do it! Definitely knowing your prices in your area is key to saving money. You have to know if prices you see on the large multi packs at a club store is a good deal or more or less than what you can get at your local grocery stores. And I definitely agree about haunting your local grocery stores for lost leaders and stocking up when a sale happens. Thanks Jordan would definitely love to see more videos like this!
As a mom who have seizures, easy quick meals are great for me. Plus my family is on foodstamps so tips on using your plan while using that would be great!
I have missed you and I am old enough to be your mom. YOu got me back doing food storage and it has been great during and after Covid. I forgot how nice is to be able make a good dinner every night. We use o eat out because we are empty nesters but we aren't doing that anymore and we are enjoying our dinners much more. They are really more healthy too. This video was great. I get in the habit of relying on Costco and Sams club or Walmart but I need to shop at other stores for bargins too. PLEASE do a weeks worth of breakfast, lunch and dinner videos. You are the best. Love you
Hi Jordan! I love that you're back making videos. You're awesome! I love the way you manage your house and raise your kids. Can you explain about buying fruits and vegetables, i haven't seen that in the grocery order. Do you skip it if you reached your budget?
I shop the same way and have done it for years. The Tightwad Gazette teaches to keep a price book. That's where I first heard of it in the 90s. I still have the same little notebook I started then! I have 9 kids and was spending less on groceries per month than my friends with fewer kids.
I'm obsessed with mustard and ketchup that I love to squeeze on my hotdogs, cheeseburgers and sometimes hash browns. I sometimes squeeze honey barbecue sauce on my hash browns. I love to squeeze mustard and ketchup into my small condiment cup and stir 'em altogether so I can dip my fries.
I would LOVE that creative food storage solutions video you mentioned!! We live in a small home with standard to smallish sized closets and a small pantry, in an area where it’s too hot to utilize the garage or attic (well over 100 deg for most of the year) and no basements because the water table is too high to dig one. I also have littles with allergies so I have to be very cautious with where I squirrel things away! 😅
Yes!!! I would love creative food storage ideas for small areas!! I’m all about prepping and storing but we have such a small refrigerator and freezer it becomes impossible. I also live in a 100 year old farm house lol
I live in a 3 bedroom apartment. I have a walk in closet that is meant for storage, I turned that into a walk in pantry, bought some shelves off Amazon and bam! I also invested in a deep freezer, I have a long hallway going out into my kitchen and it sits off to the side. It saves a ton of money and I always have a stock of food, so I don't have to worry about running out.
I grew up in a family of 8 and how have 3 very tall, still growing like crazy, boys! So for The Hubs and I to buy and freeze what we can is crucial! Our grocery prices in the south have even risen like crazy! So I get excited over any (rare) meat sales we can find. Btw, my kids still love (and beg to watch) your freezer video when you joked you may have bodies in there, LOL! 😂 I buy whole chickens and also cook those in a crockpot. I get shredded chicken meat, stock, and then I take the bones and cook them in the slow cooker to get chicken broth. So easy! Keep these videos coming! God bless!
YES to food storage solution video! I just love your plan to precook so many of these meats and portion things out for the freezer.. can you do a video on THAT?
We don’t have a pantry either. Since I like to have a lot of food on hand I decided to pick up a 12 cubicle shelf and got the cubed bins to hold my pantry items. It helps with organizing the pantry and it keeps it clean and not noticeable when we have guests over. Hope this helps someone 😊
I don’t have a pantry either! I made my linen closet a small pantry! I have some shelves in my basement too. I also was given a tall freezer which is amazing for my family of 6! 😄
I love your organization and how to save money on groceries and especially the meat. Definitely going to follow your grocery shopping protocols on how to grocery shop for myself. Great Job Jordan!!!! Thanks again for posting videos!!!!
@@jordanpagecompany I love how independent your kids are. I was raised to be independent as well but not to the extend of your kids. I have seen many videos of how independent your kids are. When I have kids, they will be independent and have rules and if the rules aren’t followed, there will be consequences. Great job Jordan!!!! Money saver, healthy eating for large families. Homemade soups! I make various creamy, chunky, hearty, soups that contain veggies and protein.
It happens
Thank you! I wondered if it was just me.
I was just about to write the same thing! Just to keep her and her family safe.
You were the one who got me motivated to always have a stock pile of food on hand and encouraged me to get freezers. Even before it was a thing these past couple years. Thanks for that Jord!
Same here, the other channel that got me motivated was she's in her apron
I keep hearing about how high prices are and I've seen it... but... you are showing exactly what I do. Stock up on the bargains. We just had meatloaf for lunch with meat I bought on sale this summer. Our grocery (food only) budget is $200 a month for 2 adults. We've kept that for the past several years and I'm still finding bargains.
Meat I buy when on sale. & in bulk. Than package it how I will use it.
That's impressive.
Prices have definitely gone up Jordan! I work with a super low grocery budget for my family of 5 in California($300 monthly) and I have found that I have to be willing to change/vary my strategy, practice "0 waste", and not commit to one grocery store. We can still do this!😉👍
Omg, 300 for 5 monthly in California! You are my hero ❤️
How do you do it? I live in Cali also and I've tried to do the 100.00 per person but I always go over...any suggestions.? I think Cali prices are way above everywhere else 😞
@@veronicacparedes4521 It also depends on which stores you go to.
Yes and they are pretty nice about it too!
I like Kroger and Meijer for that reason. They just redid our local Kroger and Meijer stores and brought back the butcher shop in both.
Wow thanks!
I have missed you. I hope you enjoyed your planning and production time, but I am so VERY glad you are back. :)
Jordan,I do the same thing! I cook for hrs once a month and then freeze the meals.SAVES SOOOOO MUCH TIME during the week when my daughter comes home from track starving and doesnt want to wait until I cook to eat a good meal.I just heat and then she can eat!
Creative food storage solutions, yes please! I've missed this kind of food/meal prep/saving/practical household advices content of yours so much... ❤️💐🤩
I love the idea of brand doesn't matter and I use to shop store brand all the time until we had a kiddo with severe allergies. Once that happened I learned brand does matter because she can't have anything that is processed in shared facilities etc.
Glad you're back! I'd love to see a what you and the family eat in a week video. And how you revamp your leftovers
So glad you took time away but happy you are back!!! I would love to see your ideas for food storage.
Coming soon!
She has 8 not 10.
Remember she's been doing this for years. Please give her more credit than that... Great job Jordan!... We all really missed you!!
I'm so happy your back. Your the only one I have post notifications on for.
Appreciate how your videos are always positive and encouraging!
Jordan, I’m not an intuitive cook and I love the way you use your food up so creatively. I need your cookbook ASAP!!! I swear, whatever the cost, I’ll buy it.
We're SO ready to have it here!
Awesome! Please make a video where you show us how to cook different meats with different methods.
‘1 for now, 2 for later’ love that ❤️
Great video!
And I dig the Pioneer Woman crockpot! That's the theme I'm changing my kitchen to!
Glad to see you back.
I love that rule... 1 for now 2 for later. Great haul and lots of protein!
Yes! Please do a video on creative food storage. My husband and I live in a small home and I have struggled to figure out new ways of storing.
Good to see you back .. thanks for your tips, love buy 3 use one .. yes any place can be food storage we keep large bags of sugar and flour in large storage container in extra bedroom ..xo
Don’t forget to use the chicken bones for broth!!!
I was thinking the same thing. Or I just put them in my freezer and when I have enough of them then I make a broth.
@@JP-rf7cu SAME!!
I just keep a ziplock bag in my freezer & throw them bones in & later make me some delicious bone broth😋
She should know that. It makes tastiest broth
Just bumped into your page. Great tips!! My husband and I love Costco and when we come home with a produce, I immediately separate and store in the freezer. We purchased a chest freezer and put it in the garage. It comes in handy.
Please make more videos about food storage and grocery hauls love seeing your videos and watching your family grow
Glad you’re back! I’ve definitely been stockpiling a bit lately. I agree to an extent with brands not mattering. With certain products I feel like they do, depending on where you shop certain stores brand items taste off.
Wal-Mart's generic always tastes so weird to me! But Kroger seems to make pretty good dupes/generics.
It's tough.
So glad to see ya back!!! Would love to see some creative storage videos!!!
Smith’s $.99 per pound chicken sales are one on my absolute favorite sales!
One of our grocery store has chicken for .88 lb once a month I get alot when is that cheap
I wish you the best & I'll have you in my prayers 🙏🏾
Stay safe!
So happy to see you back, this really helps with motivation and more videos please. 😊
Big fan. Not sure if you released you were putting your gloved hand back into the garlic jar after touching raw pork. You might want to toss that garlic jar out now.
It was killing me hahahahahah
@@savannahwilcox2973 - Cross contamination happens all the time during cooking. I think she was just in a rush. I hope she realizes the mistake.
@@meshiesno oh definitely, I'm sure the garlic doesn't last very long in the page house either. I have a family of 3 and we go through that big Ole thing quick!
I was thinking that !
I would love a video on creative food storage ideas !!!
As a mom who have seizures, easy quick meals are great for me. Plus my family is on foodstamps so tips on using your plan while using that would be great!
You don't understand how much I've missed you.
You were missing for a long, long time, welcome back!
Seeing how you prep cooked food for the freezer is very helpful!!
I shop the same way and have done it for years. The Tightwad Gazette teaches to keep a price book. That's where I first heard of it in the 90s. I still have the same little notebook I started then!
I have 9 kids and was spending less on groceries per month than my friends with fewer kids.
I loved the tip about freezing cheese! Very helpful. Off to move mine into the freezer.
Yes please small spaces storage video! Sincerely, mom of 2 living full time in a Fithwheel
I had no clue you
Can freeze cheese. How do you do that??
Would love to see these types of videos every time you grocery shop! I loved it!!
Yes creative storage for small spaces would be soooo helpful.
Yes at a daycare I was working at before we moved we froze a lot of what we would buy.
Glad you’re back! I like how you precook the meat before you freeze it.
Love these kinds of videos best. They give me such inspiration for my small family.
I also love collecting the grease from the ground beef and save it for when I make beans
Yasssss girl my fave videos!
