My saddles were made by Wade Warren, Clint Marrs, Bill McDonald. Those (and similar Visalia, Olsen Nolte, etc.) saddles were made with leather ground seats, shaped to the customer's sit bones. So there are other ways besides the metal strainer.

Good Morning use to work as a cobbler & Saddle Repairmen at shop as well as Making/ Building Saddle in Gallup NM.
Missed doing all those things.
