I hate that the mani pro does not have a LCD screen to let you know what speed your on. That's a major issue they need to fix. I have both drills and usually reach for the Kiara sky because of the LCD screen. However, the mani pro has better power, but I don't know what speed I'm on.

I agree! When I had them both for a short period, I liked the power of the Kupa.. but the KS drill got me on the LCD… it’s good for beginners and all around, knowing specifically what speed you’re on without a doubt.

I have the Kiara sky and have had to send it back for repair 3 times in 2 years 😢 I’m currently researching drills to purchase a new one. It’s shorting out on me now. The cord sucks!!

hello hope all is well with u. thank you for this video. i just purchased the kiara sky drill and i felt weird using it because of that noise and kept asking myself if it was defective. so i got on youtube and kept on watching videos to see if only mine was sounding like this and ur vid popped up and it was the only one without a background music. my question is: do u still have this drill? are u still using it? is it still good?

Yes, I still have this drill and use it as my primary. Even used it yesterday. I very much so enjoy the drill. Especially for the display.

Interesting video. What makes the drill powerful? the Watts or Volts? or the motor? Are these repairable?

    • @muavead
      @muavead 2 года назад +5

Im not technician or engineer, but i work as a nailtech and at salon we have many gals with many different e-files and i must say Wattage matters.
If You compare 30W 30000rpm one with for example 45W 30000rpm the difference is hearable and also visible. With later one you are able to remove artificial layers way faster( with also less pressure when working) even in lower speeds than with 30W one even tho the rpm is the same. Plus there is the torque, about what not many people talk about.
Therefore anything less than 30W /30000rpm i would not consider pro files at all. And we have here 60w ones available what work like butter... but those are mostly tabletop "ugly" looking machines xD

    • @malibooo

Torque is incredibly important and that's where Kupa wins.

You won’t struggle with the motor of the Kupa, it’s much stronger than any other drill i’ve tested (i’ve tried many). I wish it had a display of the rpms, but otherwise it’s a great drill with a nice slender handpiece.

Hi! Check out the video where it shows notches. There are no numbers, but it’s assumed that if you count the notches, you could estimate about what your rpms are.

@@PinaCLAWDia there's a sale today on young nails. My husband's like buy your drill you've wanted to drill for so long. Happy anniversary. And I'm like I don't like how big the drill is. I have small hands. It matters, on what I hold on my hand. Especially because I have EDS. I want a tool that works with me not against me. The vibration difference within pardon me the first one the turquoise one the kupa. Oh luckily the name of it popped up when I was bringing it up. Oh thank goodness.
Hands down I think the first motor one, as well as the handpiece. Do you buy your drill bits through them? Do all professional drill bits fit the same drill bits?

I haven’t but I have heard some have their KS efile have issues. I’ve been wanting one of their files but can’t justify it when KUPA is an efile company. Plus heard bad stuff from KS with their efile.
If they make a black lamp and efile I know I will buy it lol but I have a few KUPA efiles. No issues. Torque is sooooo good!!!

i just bought my kiara sky and i’m so disappointed that it has that revving motion when your drilling where the motor adjust its speed it’s similar to an amazon drill i spent $200 on just no where near as bad (that adjustment in the motor when your filing can cause an over heat and burn the client )but it’s uncomfortable which makes me believe it’s not worth the price

both suck , these drills has micro motor which still use carbon brushes that built inside the motor and cannot be replace like the up200 handpiece . once the brush run out you need a new motor which cost almost near a brand new handpiece price . get a saeshin B170 brushless motor nail drill instead it has crazy torque power and no need to worry about replace the brush because it's brushless but only need to replace the 2 front bearings when it's time for service
