Almost 10 years ago now, Pixar released their 15th feature film: Inside Out, which has since become known as one of the studios’ very best, with it commonly ranked within the top 10 of their 27 releases, most of which are considered to be some of the greatest animated films of all time. Not only was the film critically-acclaimed, though, as it also brought in a ton of money at the box office, raking in 850 million dollars worldwide, which was the 7th highest of any film in 2015 and made it the 6th highest grossing Pixar film of all time. So, now in 2024, the studio hopes to replicate that success with their next release: Inside Out 2, releasing June 14th, and, in preparation for the new film, we’re gonna take a look back through the original Inside Out film and run down everything that took place.
