I have always loved and respected the Laurel. Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, you knew a rich person was driving by when you saw them in a Laurel. That changed when importing other luxury cars became easier.
+ThatDudeinBlue i used to have a Nissan laurel C31 1984 left hand drive with the L20 engine but someone stole it and crashed it and it's now parked for ever sad face
+ThatDudeinBlue Your facial expressions definitely match the personality of the car. I wouldn't be surprised in Japan the previous owner making those exact same faces while he was drifting and hitting the brakes lol.
You'd love my mint 1992 Subaru Legacy turbo 5spd Only has 100k on it and it's true jdm also fuji heavy industries. Wish I could send you pictures of it
I'm soooo glad to see you got a Laurel to experience. In my country they're everywhere so it just made me smile to know that you got one to drive in the U.S and you like it. I've driven a few and I had fun in every single one.
Proud owner of a Nissan Laurel C33 Medalist checking in! i am so happy David decided to review this car. Those 10 minutes watching someone else enjoy the way the Laurel drives just brings so much joy to me because someone else is experiencing what i experience every day! i run a Rb20Det out of the R32 in mine, with tein all around, and i dont have the fiberglass kit on mine, but its still loads of fun to drive here in Trinidad and Tobago, because we have a small island, the drifting scene is dominated by some of the most MAAADDDDD Laurels on the planet! Guaranteed! but if David ever sees this, Thanks so much for reviewing this car man, this made my entire life xD lol! keep on doing you bro! much love and respect! bless!
Bubba busta But that's the great thing, how something non-living can create an emotional response in a person. Just means you like Ford more and want it to be more pure. Don't hate me I'm just on the other side of the camp, it would rub me the wrong way if a Ford engine was in a GM =P But you know how it is, Ford 9" with a GM V8.
I live in New Zealand where laurels, cefiros, skylines etc are really popular. And btw it's pronounced La-ral no Loren but that might just be your accent
I got one. Built for drifting and cruising. Best rwd car i've ever driven. We have here lots of that era cars like Sky's Cefiros, Cressidas etc. It looks kinda funny to see how people discover those great cars.
That laurel is pretty sweet! I love seeing something different like that on the road, not to say i dont appreciate all the people doing s13 and gti builds, but its always fun to see somebody doing something thats rarely been done before. Props to the owner for doing a great job with it.
Absolutely LOVE the C33 Laurel, planning on buying one soon actually, here in Trinidad, we always had these and we have them in serious numbers, these are generally mostly used as taxi vehicles believe it or not, RB or otherwise. If you like Laurels, the holy grail of all Laurels, and the one we all should want, the C35. Too awesome, if you're interested in seeing our local cars, of which there are many, search a hashtag on Facebook or IG and you'll find LOTS of Laurels and Cefiros, and even Cressidas and Chasers, JDM heaven down here lol #TriniSuperCars #Trinicarscene
Always love these laurels growing up back in Trinidad. I remember my dad was trying to buy one but backed out of the deal. I still want one of these. The r32 skyline, a31 cefiro and this car are related. They have the same platform and run the same RB engines. Some laurels came with a 4 cylinder engine and some came with an RD28 diesel also
@thatdudeinblue I live in the Caribbean and that laurel also the ciferos are like the most common cars in the island of trinidad also in the local drift scene here :) it's like a mini Japan over here in the Caribbean lol
This car is so cool and unique. I never knew it even existed before you mentioned it. Great review as always David and congrats you just hit 470K subs!!!
Need to drive down a busy road with a passenger sticking both hands out the left side window, and film the reactions of other people. It would be hilarious!
Laurel and cefiro's were mostly all ex taxi's in New Zealand... They also came in diesel in the laurel. The Cefiro also came in a factory 4WD form so basically it was a skyline GTS-4 in a Cefiro body
It seems so weird seeing someone not knowing what these cars are haha, even tho you American's are proud of your big v8's i still think your in for a treat when our jdm cars are available for you 😆
It's unique, which makes it cool. Pillarless is awesome too, but it seems the rear windows do not completely disappear in the doors, which is a shame. Think "supernatural" Impala. That hardtop sedan looks awesome with all the windows down!
+George-Alex Psathas and theyre both at import alliance right now! i just got back from it i saw adam and the 240 but i didnt say hi. im gonna upload a video of it
Where I live this and the white nissan cefrio he reviewed are everywhere and it is ironic cause where i live don't have muscle cars and mainstream jdm cars and for you and subscribers to say this car is rare blows my mind
imCapone1124 lmao He said he wishes that Toyota did, I thought he meant like the car reviewed and the cefiro. I don't know where the Toyota came from, unless it was on an unrelated note aha.
I always wanted to import 1 of these. It's such a awesome sleeper. None of my friends ever knew what I was talking about when I brought up wanting one of these, and they talk like they know everything jdm lol.
I Don't wanna say that this is the Laruel I saw, but it has the exact same color and looks the same! When I talked to the owner he said at the time being here were only 2 laurels in the states, mind you this was last year. DUDEINBLUE please ask the owner if ever took this car to a Sonic car meet in IL last year and reply! Much love dude love what your doing with the channel!
We've had these for years in NZ -sadly it means they're largely all hacked up into half baked "projects" and nowhere near as clean as this one. Its the same with Ceffy's which were the poor mans skyline for years (no its rare to find one in one piece).
I've seen a few here in the UK. There is even one on my town here in Wales. Although I always mix them up with the Toyota Chaser. I can't say though I ever woke up and said "I hope I see a Nissan Laurel today". I think it's one of those imports people don't fully understand yet....or don't even know exist
Very cool! I remember seeing this same exact car at Japanese Classics when I went to pick up my Skyline last month. They definitely have some of the cleanest JDM vehicles you can get here in the states.
yo david,in my country (trinidad) we have alot of laurels and ceferos,in my country we call the laurel(c33/medalist/laurel) and the cefero(a31/cefero) ,we also have a couple drift groups (in my country we say drift crews) if you go on facebook and type dirty projects trinidad and 3d car car, you`ll see alot of ceferos, laurels and a couple of s chasis drifting
hey David your car Reviews just make my day I love them soo Much i never heared of the nissan laurel and i love that David please make more car Reviews
We've got one down here in st.lucia!...beautifully sprayed pearlescent purple an green!...an it's lowered just like this one!,truly an amazing car!..sounds beast!!
Mmm kinda man like Lo-rel the "el" is said like the letter L , but i guess accents etc could make it sound different but yeah hope i explained it properly haha
I love 4 door drift cars.. I have a Q45 and recently slid with 4 other people plus me. Its fun for the whole family haha. I love 4 doors especially the Laurel simply cause the pillarless windows.
The laurel are a luxury edition of the skyline with s chasis parts combined, a lot of parts are shared with the R series incuding the engine and transmission, i own 2 c35 last gen laurels, one has rb20neo, other rb25neo. They're cool to drive even with low na power. The suspension of the c35 series are comparable with 4door r34 skylines. Laurels are direct competitors to toyota chasers/markII.
I used to own a 95 Nissan Laurel C34 with an RB20 (the model after the C33 in this video) until I baby crashed it about a year ago drifting in the rain. I miss it :( it was my first car after my mother owned it and passed it down to me and damn, it was a great car. I never expected a Laurel to be in one of your videos and when I saw the title I was pretty excited! Also to answer your question, I love the C33 Laurel! The RB straight six exhaust tone is my favourite of all after the EJs by Subaru. I personally think the C33 looks a little bit better than my C34 because of age.
these are awesome. The first time I saw the window thing it was nuts.. hell, it still is nuts everytime I see it! Awesome video david, and have fun at IA
+billy heaton i miss it, me and my dad restored it to running condition with new paint and raffled it off we made a good profit. any nissan that can do a burnout like that one deserves respect, I would have gutted the interior and done 4 ricaro seats but thats just me.
This was never a commuter. It was an upscale Skyline... a 5series competitor. Owned one for 3 years in Japan. Got 2x $800 tickets =( wore out that chime at 180kph The windows were my favorite, and the folding mirrors (for a 90s car... a revelation to me)
That Laurel looks pretty nice, man. I've heard about these cars, but haven't looked it up too much. This car oozes VIP, and pulls it off well. The stance is also very nice and not too low to the ground. The kit looks kinda bulky on the car, but it doesn't ruin the overall shape of it. I need to import one of these sedans, man...
When I think of the name Laurel, I think of the TV show How to Get Away with Murder. Why didn't I knew about this car a long time ago? This would make a great JDM alternative to an Impala SS from 94-96.
I have always loved and respected the Laurel. Growing up in Trinidad and Tobago, you knew a rich person was driving by when you saw them in a Laurel. That changed when importing other luxury cars became easier.
Fr bro
Wds
The talking laurel was rell rich person back in the day glad I could say I owned one and many other things I wanted 🙏
Same bro I remember this house a couple blocks from mines in Trinidad had a laurel sitting outside everyday I’ll walk by and just stare at it
Oh my god the windows... I'm in love.
All about the 4 door
+WheelSpin Gaming Same!
4 doors for more whores
Less insurance
Thanks for watching guys! Hope you enjoyed this car! I know I did. Stay awesome.
+ThatDudeinBlue juste a very badass car.. thats right !
+ThatDudeinBlue i used to have a Nissan laurel C31 1984 left hand drive with the L20 engine but someone stole it and crashed it and it's now parked for ever sad face
+ThatDudeinBlue your vids are asome
+ThatDudeinBlue Your facial expressions definitely match the personality of the car. I wouldn't be surprised in Japan the previous owner making those exact same faces while he was drifting and hitting the brakes lol.

Looks like Nissan's answer to the Toyota Chaser.
Yes personally I like seeing Toyota and Nissan and go at it there like siblings
Bubba busta Yea I love rivalries, always cool stuff, like Ford vs Chevy.
True but I really don't mind a Toyota engine in a Nissan or vice versa now Gm engine in a Ford I hate
Bubba busta But that's the great thing, how something non-living can create an emotional response in a person. Just means you like Ford more and want it to be more pure. Don't hate me I'm just on the other side of the camp, it would rub me the wrong way if a Ford engine was in a GM =P
But you know how it is, Ford 9" with a GM V8.
Ali Ahadi Ford does have better rear ends for sure lol I'm okay with a 5.3l might swap one in my hardbody
Now that's JDM
4 door Japanese sedans are my favorite!
And with this car, I can unofficially say that Nissan _owned_ the 90's! They made so many cool cars. It's awesome.
I live in New Zealand where laurels, cefiros, skylines etc are really popular. And btw it's pronounced La-ral no Loren but that might just be your accent
LORL
RFB HAHAHAHA
Yup here in NZ the laurel and ceffis are the go to car to boost and drift.
hes pronouncing it correct lol
+DynoBrah I guess it's just the accent
I had a Nissan Laurel and a Nissan Cedric when I was stationed in Japan. Both with RB20s. So much fun back in the day....
+Acuravigor47 Ahhh Nissan Cedric, this car looks soo good !
Laurels and cefiros are quite common here in new zealand, mostly c32 and a31,but alot of the newer ones too
RFB
no please not rfb
Lots of RFB C33s here in kiwi land lol
I got one. Built for drifting and cruising. Best rwd car i've ever driven.
We have here lots of that era cars like Sky's Cefiros, Cressidas etc. It looks kinda funny to see how people discover those great cars.
I got a Nissan Laurel c32 with an rd28 engine, 5gear manual. Thumbs up :)
My dream car is a c35 laurel
Pro_Rman Amazing car,I love mine
@@DhirC35 I own one🤣
@@Mandem443 how is it going
When those windows roll down with no piller in the middle looks G af!
i feel like thoes pillarless windows where awesome for japan drive-bys idk why i thought of that
yep it's like the rear window goes down enough to rest your gun on while shooting
+Jonah A Reminds me of the same feeling I get in my mustang convertible when the top is up...its like giant window.
+Jonah A because yakuza
That laurel is pretty sweet! I love seeing something different like that on the road, not to say i dont appreciate all the people doing s13 and gti builds, but its always fun to see somebody doing something thats rarely been done before. Props to the owner for doing a great job with it.

I've never even heard of a Nissan Laurel! But this car is truly unique and one of a kind! Great video. Really enjoyed this one David!

I from trinidad
Incase anyone was wondering, the ring or hook on the rear bumper is a loop from a bus/ subway in Japan.
For anyone wondering why the Laurel car was never offered in the US, it never would have passed side impact requirements for crash testing.
Robert DeMeo Same here in Australia. When we import them side impact bars must be installed for rego.
This car is so cool and unique. I never knew it even existed before you mentioned it. Great review as always David and congrats you just hit 470K subs!!!
I like that gran turismo intro music
Being from the UK it's nice to see an occasional RHD car. These Laurels were pretty common on Uk roads back in the day. Great car and review.
very rare car was not expecting this car nice video as always 👍👍👍
Wow, cloudy days do not do that car justice. That is a gorgeous purple.
like the grand turismo style music intro
That Laurel is suuuper classy, and the no middle pillar for the windows was definitely something new to me.
Need to drive down a busy road with a passenger sticking both hands out the left side window, and film the reactions of other people. It would be hilarious!
lol I was thinking a rhd car just so I can do this now
John Doe lol dooooo eeeeeetttt :-P
Laurel and cefiro's were mostly all ex taxi's in New Zealand... They also came in diesel in the laurel. The Cefiro also came in a factory 4WD form so basically it was a skyline GTS-4 in a Cefiro body
Come to New Zealand, you'll think your in japan hahaha so many JDM beast. Cefiros, Laurels, Skylines(R34s), AE85/86s, silieghtys, Mark IIs ect ect.
one of the best chanels of RUclips. JDM forever
Would you just look at it...I just made a Drift-U-Turn in ma 80's living room on wheels. Awesome.
actually i hate the fiber glass but this kit in that laurel just lock stunning im in love with it jdm legend
It seems so weird seeing someone not knowing what these cars are haha, even tho you American's are proud of your big v8's i still think your in for a treat when our jdm cars are available for you 😆
Stop
I'm American, I don't like American cars..
You should do some research before commenting.
+Luke M
>our jdm cars
kek
He's from NZ and he says "our JDM cars"
I like how the grill and intercooler look the same
Have you ever reviewed a CB7 or plan to in the future
It's unique, which makes it cool. Pillarless is awesome too, but it seems the rear windows do not completely disappear in the doors, which is a shame. Think "supernatural" Impala. That hardtop sedan looks awesome with all the windows down!
You MUST do a review of Adam's LZ S13 !
Best idea
+George-Alex Psathas and theyre both at import alliance right now! i just got back from it i saw adam and the 240 but i didnt say hi. im gonna upload a video of it
+Daniyal S. Nice! :)
right haha
+Daniyal S. I thought David couldn't make it?
One of my all time fave cars, along with the Cressida. You are one lucky man David.
That face on start up man!
+Brian Tolliver (HiCapMag) LOL. This made the video gold in my eyes.
The Nissan Laurel is a mega sleeper! Love it
The owner got this from Japanesecarclassic in VA.
Where I live this and the white nissan cefrio he reviewed are everywhere and it is ironic cause where i live don't have muscle cars and mainstream jdm cars and for you and subscribers to say this car is rare blows my mind
really wish that Toyota would have sent all those rwd 4 door cars to the us in stead of these crap front wheel drive cars
i agree.
Sadly...most modern American drivers today are 💩.
+modedchild This is a Nissan.
+Fletcher Hyslop who said it wasn't? lol
imCapone1124 lmao He said he wishes that Toyota did, I thought he meant like the car reviewed and the cefiro. I don't know where the Toyota came from, unless it was on an unrelated note aha.
Whenever you feature a car with a steering wheel on the correct side you get a like before I watch, so keep them coming, well done!
JDM as f*ck!👌
+Luca Car Mods your mom has parental control on your computer huh sissy boy
what I like most about the car is the Lincoln style hood badge.
"I'm the JDM mailman" hahahahaha
I always wanted to import 1 of these. It's such a awesome sleeper. None of my friends ever knew what I was talking about when I brought up wanting one of these, and they talk like they know everything jdm lol.
thatdudeinblue I always prayed that one day you'll drive a Laurel and look it happened lol
Me 2 ! he should drive a c35 laurel next
Ikr
Remember seeing these all the time back in Trinidad I always liked how they look
Wicked car, wicked-er neck beard.
+Moby Green Technically a chin strap, but okay.
Laurel looks better than I first thought. Like that bodykit.
I'm hoping someone will let him review the R32 Skyline
Already has
that was a year ago
R32 Gtst is what he reviewed. R32 GTR is what he needs next.
never thought such a classy car could look so nice
It looks similar to the original Q45. Nice!
I wish hard tops were still a thing those big windows and the coupe look that comes with it is awesome
David the Laurel is the VIP (more classy) cefrio
can we get a build sheet or what the car has pleassssee
It's so badass and sinister looking, has the potential to be a sweet daily, love it.
in my country that car is a drift legend good jdm choice man if you want to see some bad ass laurel you should check out DIRTY PROJECTS CHANNEL. ENOY
Much love dude love what your doing with the channel!
when i get rich, im going to import all of these lesser known JDM cars to america.
+o Lemurs definitely have the same plan.
You Americans are a bit too late. We have been importing these to Ireland simce 2002. So all the good 1s are gone or crashed.
Hannibal Smyth im sure there will be one for me XD
It'll be too late by then, us Canadians are collecting these cars already like pokemons
that car is the definition of drift, literally. So 10 out of 10 for me. Any japan car i love, so that's why it's a perfect 10
We've had these for years in NZ -sadly it means they're largely all hacked up into half baked "projects" and nowhere near as clean as this one. Its the same with Ceffy's which were the poor mans skyline for years (no its rare to find one in one piece).
true story :(
+Jak and 75% of the owners scream RFKNB while dropping a solid 1 wheel with their 20e autos
+hoof fang RfknB er'day. Goz gud foa wht it iz.
Hard out. I've been looking for a good c33 for a year or two now.. I have a r32 gtst that's almost immaculate. And a jacked up ceffy.
+Jak i just find it funny where u.s peeps spend like 10g for a r32 that would sell for like 4g here or less
Wouldn't the JDM mailman be LHD?
Nope
+brett blackburn Actually, it would be.
If the mailman were in a RHD country, then yes.
Very cool! I remember seeing this same exact car at Japanese Classics when I went to pick up my Skyline last month. They definitely have some of the cleanest JDM vehicles you can get here in the states.
It looks better without the skirts.. But then again it ain't my car so why the hell do I care. Still a cool ride nonetheless!
yo david,in my country (trinidad) we have alot of laurels and ceferos,in my country we call the laurel(c33/medalist/laurel) and the cefero(a31/cefero) ,we also have a couple drift groups (in my country we say drift crews) if you go on facebook and type dirty projects trinidad and 3d car car, you`ll see alot of ceferos, laurels and a couple of s chasis drifting

Indeed. From project car to Sando taxi. LoL
+Reagan Thomas word, this the original wetman ride
+Reagan Thomas yes it is its very popular in t&t cuz they are very gud drift cars
The Trini "hooligan" car basically. All they do, are burnouts. 😐
Exactly lol
hey David your car Reviews just make my day I love them soo Much i never heared of the nissan laurel and i love that David please make more car Reviews
where my Trinidadians at
🇹🇹🇹🇹
love Nissan Laurels, Great Car. They put a smile on any Petrolhead's Face. This one in Particular is Absolutely Gorgeous
Intro sounds like the starting menu of sega gt 2002
I thought one of the GT games!
HKS592 original Xbox? O.o
+Frederick Gomes gran turismo!

America pls, its not pronounced "Loril"
+fizzlefofizzle Then do tell how it is pronounced
So Lure like you lure someone in? How does the "a" work then? LOL
Mmm kinda man like Lo-rel the "el" is said like the letter L , but i guess accents etc could make it sound different but yeah hope i explained it properly haha
The "EL" is easily comprehensible, it's just the first part. Is is LURE, LORE, or LOW?
How am i being a "dick rider"?
i love how you finally did one of these! i have one as my first car!!! my pride and joy 😆
Kids in Africa could've eaten that rubber
Can people stop being racist like this
+Reverse Galaxy There are white and black people in Africa, which race was this directed to?

I believe that kit on the car is either a BN Sports or a Car Modify: Wonder kit.
As an actual mailman, 10/10 would deliver mail in.
these are awesome. The first time I saw the window thing it was nuts.. hell, it still is nuts everytime I see it! Awesome video david, and have fun at IA
Laurels are great cars and this one is no exception.
its a really bad ass family car we have lots of them here in ireland beautiful machines
i had a 65 impala 4 door with no side posts, a sporty looking cruiser for sure.
+cgr88m I'd take that 65 impala 4 door over a fucking Nissan
+billy heaton i miss it, me and my dad restored it to running condition with new paint and raffled it off we made a good profit. any nissan that can do a burnout like that one deserves respect, I would have gutted the interior and done 4 ricaro seats but thats just me.
the Laurel is actually in the VIP class, same as the mark 2 and the aristo.
This was never a commuter. It was an upscale Skyline... a 5series competitor.
