After the catastrophe of events in last week's video, we’re hell bent on enjoying our last few days in Morocco. We feel really sad to be leaving under these circumstances. But we need to go back to the UK to get our yearly vehicle inspection done amongst other things.
But before that, first up we spend a few days getting to know a place we’d heard so much about, the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen. It really is beautiful as everyone says!
From there we continue up through the Rif Mountains to explore Tetouan. However our plans are scuppered once again due to last week's incident as we run into some trouble getting James and Ady their second Rabies vaccine.
It all gets a bit stressful, but we try to salvage the remaining days we have with some beach time before jumping on the ferry back over to Spain.
After a quick dash through 1000 km of Spain and another ferry crossing we’re back on the not so sunny shores of England. We’re as ready as we’ll ever be to face out the rest of a UK winter, but are missing Morocco before we even leave.
However we’re absolutely sure that we’ll be back some day. We loved it far too much to let a horrible few days spoil what was an incredible few months.
We hope you’ve loved watching our Moroccan series as much as we’ve enjoyed making it.
Catch you in the comments & stay tuned to find out what we’re up to next!
    Cheers,
    Sarah, James & Ady

I really liked your way and your concept of life. Everything was so wonderful that I shed some tears while you are talking in this video, which may be the last, about your experience in my country, Morocco. Do not change anything from what you do and make sure that you are one of the best things I have followed in my life. Thank you, kind, caring family that carries noble and human meanings. I wish you good health and safety on the roads, wherever you may be. All the love.

Almost anyone with a good heart that have been though a tough situtation involving a loved one can definitely relate to the feeling of hopelessness you get when things 'go south', that shows how much of a loving father/ parents you guys are, myself as a person of faith I find peace in the idea that nothing is really in my hands all I can do is my best and pray for the better, never let those kind of hopeless/negative thoughts take over you cause it can take out the pleasure of every beautiful moment of life.

So sorry this awful event has caused the trip to turn at the very end. realize it could have happened in central london even! its a terrible thing that she won't even remember, You will but she won't. its so so hard to be in a foreign country with no language when something bad happens. I feel you, in France and husband had to go to ER and no one spoke any English and were not nice at all. So be happy the hospital did speak some english and were lovely to you. scary things but hoping the good parts stay fresher than the bad soon.

    • @TheWholeWorldorNothing

Yeah totally, it was such a weird incident it could have happened anywhere as you say. And we’re pretty sure Ady didn’t even realise it was a cat as she has no fear of them at all which is a relief too. It is definitely hard trying to navigate unfamiliar health systems but we were very thankful for how lovely everyone was ❤️

Oh James... big hugs from 'aunty'! The young father's big challenge finally met. But yes, reframing it for the size it was against all that wonderful experience is essential - and the realisation that such incidents can happen anywhere; including 'home'. Now to look forward to seeing what else you take us. (Meanwhile, the news here is that I am soon to become the owner of a new Ford E-Transit, with plans of fully electric road-tripping!) Huggies all around, YAM xx

2:20 Why the city of Chefchaouen is blue ?
Chefchaouen was built by the moors who were kicked out of Andalusia between the late 15th century and the beginning of the 17th century after the reconquista. The moors were later joined by sephardic jews who were also kicked out of the Iberian peninsula during the 16th century. When the jews came to Chefchaouen, they painted there houses in blue, because in Judaism blue is considered to be the color of the Divine. Later, they decided to paint all houses in blue, to do some advertisement to the city and attract tourists.
I hope you had a good trip in Morocco despite the incident in Fes.
Stay safe and have a nice trip.

James, as protectors of our family I can totally relate to your feelings. I have grown up daughters with children of their own now but throw disrespectful boyfriends/partners into the mix I'll let you imagine the things I've done to protect them and also to ensure certain things were never repeated. You feel a failure when they're hurt but you couldn't have foreseen what was going to happen and what you both did afterwards to ensure she had the right treatment is all you could have done so please, while understanding, don't feel like you let her down. I can see the pain you're feeling, been there done it and got the t-shirt, just know that you did all that you could once life had thrown you a curveball. Fair play to you for discussing the feelings you have and I for one applaud you and everything you do for your family. Safe journey back home to you all.

So happy that Ady is doing fantastically well. James, you are un chico grande! You guys will be fine. As I said earlier, and that is backed by American Center of Disease Control (CDC), rabies in cats is extremely rare. There has not been a single confirmed case of cat-to- human rabies in the US in the last 40 years. These things are common with dogs, not cats. Of course, it is not easy as parents to go through this painful episode, but it will make you stronger and wiser. Rumi, one of the greatest Sufis in Islam said: The wound is the place where light enters you.
Glad you made it to Chefchaouen! It is easily the prettiest town in Morocco. No-one knows for sure why it is blue. One popular theory claims the Moriscos, who were expelled from Spain after the fall of Andalucia in 1492, painted their new homes in indigo hoping to come back one day to their lost paradise.
Take great care and thank you for sharing your time in Morocco with us.

As a father (of 5) I understand how you feel,, but it's all part and parcel of seeing them growing up through thin and thick, and it won't be that smooth,, As for the blue city, the most likely story is that chefchaouen is built by the Moore Jews and Muslims, and the color blue is sacred in Jewish faith... was nice flowing your trip around my home country while wondering what am I doing in Hackney london 🤔,, enjoy your nomadic life and godspeed.

Chefchouan is blue because of the majority of jews went around the area there after the war. Blue is the most important color for Judaism. Some people say it's blue to keep mosquitoes away 😅

That seems to be the most common theory on the blue. We’re very sceptical about the mosquitos thing 😅

We were just so unlucky with the timing, if it had happened on a week day we’d have had no problems at all but we’re really thankful we got it sorted in the end ☺️
