How it actually plays out remains to be seen, it's not like aggro players won't have the opportunity tweak their lists to adjust for an evolving meta if this ends up popping up often. We don't know how hard it will be for people to get English playsets of this Buggy yet either, if it ends up like promo Barto and Jinbe (prior to reprints) then it's possible you hardly run into it at locals and you can either run something else or try tech your aggro deck for the matchup in larger competitive events. The sky isn't quite falling down yet for aggro players but definitely something to be mindful of when OP09 format comes around.
Maybe 9c mihawk can be played? Searchable, and plays out a body that can still attack while removing their buggy. Maybe not awful into pluffy either to get rid of luffytaros, but still does seem very slow and useless in a lot of other matchups
Yea the main issue is it's much too slow since the Buggy in actuality is played on 5/6 meaning you'd need to wait minimum 2 turns. Hancock can maybe afford to run it now though!
Still hard to see where he will settle into the meta because there may be decks like Purple Luffy potentially that just stat-check him. I think Doflamingo is still an extremely powerful pick, rest assured.
There are a lot of decks that can hard counter an S tier build but lose to everything else, looks like this may be the case for Buggy, the 3/4C character meta pretty much solely exists for gecko, maybe throw zooro in there as well
Yeah, i agree that the deck might be a counter to blue Doffy and lose to other decks but i think at least Buggy will be more relevant now since he has 8 copies of quote on quote 7 cost Crocodile. It makes his Exodia quest easier.
So from the perspective of a "new to OP player in the west" kind of a guy - I just don't understand how Doffy is that good (or maybe just very prevalent?) in the OCG OP format. Is it that good all around? Is it just that it's cheap because of the SD so it's everywhere which makes people just prepare for it all the time? I see it as a strong deck but is it really tear 1??? I can't make myself believe that with so many decks that can easily win against it. I would love to hear from some active OCG players about this. p.s. really enjoying your content, keep it up!!
I would like to make a proper video going over Doflamingo as the main topic in the future, but essentially there isn't much removal in the game right now, so many decks can't keep up with Doflamingo. However, Doflamingo, unlike other aggro decks, has a ton of card draw which is the actual reason he's hard to deal with. I had to try to change the gameplan here, but generally you can achive a full board and a massive hand
Is there any though to just trying to move more top end back into doffy again to fight against the new promo so it’s not an auto loss? Or do we just take it as a loss and hope to dodge, like playing endl into black beard?
It's hard to say for now. I think if you try to put top end into Doflamingo, 1. it's not using his ability well, and 2. they can just 10 cost Buggy it. It will largely come down to what other matchups Buggy loses to see how much of a force he will be in the meta.
I think this is the right way of thinking before panicking and say because he is great against doffy that he is now tier one.. he currently sucks to be fair so let him get some support?
Against rp luffy and purple luffy, you want to have a 6000 power something on turn 2. Teach lets you play that more consistently, and allows you to play 3 things on 5 Don. I don't personally love the card as it reduces your hand heavily, but I'm testing it for the current meta where 6000 power and board pressure is king. Also yes he can become an attacker too occasionally.
Might come off as insensitive, but the "soft" jp for your turns is really throwing me off watching this while doing other things. I usually watch videos and work/game, but I keep asking myself "Am i watching some anime in the background? Wait no, its IKailaKai taking his turn". Im not a jp speaker.
You're good haha I try to say some words with English pronunciation because people will recognize it better, like 'Mihawk' but it's just a habit to say in Japanese because I play in Japanese 99% of the time

Really like how you edit these gameplay videos, keep em coming!
Just recieved 4 copies of 4 cost Moria SP today and now i'm seeing this Buggy 😢

And who knows when we in the West will get the promo. Could be at the very end of OP-09 or something.
@@Shin-g6f my point was more along the lines of don’t feel bad you bought cool cards because it won’t make doffy irrelevant
Never had plans to play buggy but now I might
That stops belo betty completely, dragon++
Red roc ++ on all doffy decks
BUGGY IS BACK BABY!!!!!!!!!!
Very cool card, thanks for making the video!

Bro, will you be doing full gold dons? The prices are down now!!
I am upgrading 1 Golden Don every time I win a 100+ player tournament so I feel like I earn it haha. Still have a long journey to go
Great video, What do you think about the promo shanks?
I think it's not as strong as Buggy, but it's still good. Hand Refresh for that deck is really nice
Great vídeo! Since red roc is always an removal, isn't a good Idea put 4 in doffy deck?
You don't particularly want that many for other matchups, but it might be required when this buggy comes out
are promocards cards that will come out or are they just for fun
They are real cards that will come out next week in Japan
2 Baggys is gg 🙈
Maybe Dofla should run Kaido 10
But then 10Buggy will bottom him :(
Maybe though
Would Doffy try the 3 cost blocker Ms. All Sunday maybe? To try and recur the red rocs?
nah that sounds bad lol nvm
Leader must be Baroque Works to recur a blue event from trash for Ms All Sunday
@@drewbishop-tsai5526 thank you
I just got my seven warlord set and dons to match, then my mates send me this pic 😂😂😢😢

what's the reasoning for the 2 cost teach? is it to have another low cost attacker?
Against rp luffy and purple luffy, you want to have a 6000 power something on turn 2.

Nah. Dies to red roc. /j
Booooooo floodgates booooo
No one likes these kinds of cards haha
Meh. Doffy players should learn to run higher costed cards. Blue has some nice ones

He plays the jp version of the game so it makes sense he’s saying the cards in Japanese
