Thank you for addressing this! It’s a profound injustice. We were on the waiting list for 6 years with the LRS. Tony took the driving test for hand controls three different times because it kept expiring during the waiting process. I drove him to work for all those years, but when we had Alex, it all got to be too much and he decided to get a work from home position. That’s the moment they disqualified us and took us off the list because he works from home and “doesn’t need to drive” 🤦🏻♀️ It’s mind boggling how they think they are helping disabled people by making them jump through all of these hoops and wait an eternity. It’s a human rights issue at this point. 💔
SIX YEARS?? That's absolutely outrageous. Every van has a story behind it, I can only imagine how many people have stories like ours. I definitely don't think people know how hard it is to get one and how expensive they really are! I certainly didn't. I'll definitely be making more videos about my journey as it progresses. Hopefully the end is in sight 🤞I'd love to watch a video on your story, that sounds eternally frustrating.
