    I like how Mango Santamaria put the Guanguanco into the tumbao. I have to say, what makes it sound so cool imo is that it’s played with the clave - with the open tone tumba starting on the 4. James Brown beats are so cool because they gravitate /resolve often on the 1 - with the bass drum accenting that first beat. When Guanguanco melody is played with the first conga/quinto open tone landing on the 1, as it is played in the Mango tumbao, it has that nice grounded groove that beats with a 1st beat resolution have.

    Hola, podrías explicar la Rumba Guaguancó en Bongoes?

    • @MichaeldeMiranda
      @MichaeldeMiranda  6 лет назад

      Normalmente el bongo toca una improvisation en Guaguanco (Grupo de salsa) pero yo no sé como toca guaguanco en el bongo. Tengo que pensar sobre eso...

    Hi Teacher, now I know how to play guaguanco Havana, but Mantanzas on 2 congas for beginners? I´m missing this style.

      Here is rumba de Matanzas on 3 congas, but perhaps it is difficult. ruclips.net/video/gbS0dY4PzIw/видео.html

      Yes I have all your videos in my computer, just I must to know how I can to play on 2 congas. I can to play on 3 congas (Havana and Mantanzas) because I always check your videos. Another question it´s possible that you can explain how to do one song (percussion part) timbals, congas, bongos (section A, section B) I know it´s hard but there aren´t videos explain how do it. Sorry but for me you are a really master about Latin Music!

    Great video. What is the count of the closed open tones or muffs that you play at 7:57? I think you played five of them on the tumbadora. Not sure how to count them. Thank you in advance for your reply.

    Hola Miranda, imagínate todos tus vídeos en un app, imagínate qué puedes hacer varios app, eso sería muy bueno para ti y para los que les guste la percusión en general. Imagínate que una compañía te compre todos tus vídeos, de eso podríamos hablar después. Yo no nesecito nada, es solo una idea. Yo soy uno de tus seguidores, soy músico también me encanta la música nada mas...abrazo

      Hola Jose, muchas gracias por tua idea. Yo no sé nada de apps, pero la idea es muy bien!! Solo soy musico como tu.

      informate sobre como crear un app, te traira tantos beneficios como no eres capas de imaginar. para toda la vida. es la parte mas importante de todo. sin tener que preocuparte por poner el proximo video. espero te sirva la idea, pero es que tu ya tienes el trabajo hecho, todo ya esta hecho . es solo ponerlo en un app. informate y no te arrepentiras jamas. Gracias Miranda y buena suerte. tu seguidor Eduardo .

    Thank you Michael. Pero no entiendo...in order not to start late some would play two open tones on the pulse then start the second half with the second half of the clave? So the first two open tones are played on 1 and 4+ of the three part of the clave then the next open tone falls on the two part of the clave. Bueno quiero preguntarle entonces donde caen the first two open tons on what beats in the 3 part ? Gracias.

    • @MichaeldeMiranda
      @MichaeldeMiranda  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you, Antonio. The first open tone would be on the 1 and the second on the 2'and' (the same as the second note from the clave in the three part) the 3th open tone is on the 4. I hop you understand what I mean. I wish you good luck!

    • @Antonio-ti2he
      @Antonio-ti2he 6 лет назад

      Yes I understand. But then you would play another open tone on the conga to begin the melody? I did not see that you played the open tone on the 2 part of the clave to begin the melody. Three open tones (played on the tumbadora) on the 3 part on 1 then 2 + then on 4 (the clave would click on 4 +). Then when the melody starts we would need the open on the conga. Right? If we play the melody open tone on 4 of the 3 part then we are missing the open tone on 1 of the 2 part or do you skip it the first time and not play anything on the 1 of the 2 part of the clave and start with the slap on 2 ? Thank you for the reply.
