The passengers generally get hammered though. It's sad to see so many of the male passengers in the cars drinking cider though. Love from an ex beer drinker and hell raiser in Western Swe.

I drove many of these cars as a young fellow many good times in back seat of the 64's, But thank you Germany for all those Bettles. Them suckers would go deep into the forest and back they even flaoted we drove with broken engine mounts only one brake line even a missing tire at times darn fine machines easy to fix. O a friend drove all summer stuck in third gear.
Thats because you destroyed mosy of them. The ones you see here was saved. Try 100 000sands of dollars if you want em back! Most Impalas is very cheap compared to the real goodies in Sweden. Impalas are also terribly common comparing with many other iconic american classics we got over here.

I think most of them are already in bad shape because over 50yr old cars don't need inspection in Sweden. That's why there are so much those raggare builds.
When they turn 50 yrs you do one last inspection on them. But a policeman can order a new inspection if they find there are flaws with the car. So you're not entirely free or out of the woods
