I was wondering if I wanted to use this border for a blanket if I could just do the same pattern backwards/upsidedown to finish the blanket ? Or would it not work ?

Want to clarify - the instructions say multiples of 11+2. If I'm doing 3 times, would it be 35 or 39 stitches?
