You can see it 0:44, 2:04, 3:44 and many others details. The center view is not the same than the 4 others. Remember, At The Apollo was filmed for a DVD, Monkeys probably performed 2 days, and the production mixed that.
Man it's so obvious that they filmed the other angles in post-production lol, in some of them he does things that clearly aren't in the original live recording.
I think most of the scenes were filmed after the concert, except the middle camera in the second row, was filmed live, as you see, there is no crash sound in that camera view
don michael brown, sorry mate, you must not be a drummer... Helders plays nice and fast, but Keith was way more carismatic, and Bonhan was way more vreative, just to begin with. It is all a matter of like. Helders is fast, but not the faster. He puts only the other indie drummers to shame.
hahaha are any of you drummers? to say that this "drummer" is agile, or a "beast" is hilarious. this is more basic drumming than you learn in high school. he doesnt even incorporate any rudiments... you all need to check out some real drummers like martin axenrot, ray luzier, thomas lang, tony royster jr are only a few.
mark donaldson not only is he late m8, but he is also wrong. Not only to dis another musician just because their style doesn't coincide with theirs, but just be plain wrong. His fills are complex and he is fast. Not just in tempo but in movement around the kit. Also, there is one thing all those drummers have in common; they have a fuckload of drums and symbols. I have heard it said many a time a great drummer is not the person who can drum the fastest, or who has the most drums, but is the one who can have the most basic of kits and make it sound amazing and matt is just that. His grooves and fills are pretty fucking amazing sounding and feel great to play. Not only that, but it is also simple done perfectly. Question is, are you even an artist if you are dissing others music because you don't like it?
The View From The Drummer
N0NseNz Mdrrr ^^
Nice
*matt helders
Multi-Matt
The Beast only picked up the drums because it was the only instrument left. We're in the presence of greatness boys
Matt is not only fast, but he has some of the most complex fills and grooves that ive seen from any drummer
Kyle Blyan on the rock scene, playing 4/4, and on this tiny kit, só yes. I have to agree with you. Lots of good compositions.
He is the best drummer at his scene, no doubt about that
In the rock scene 4/4 is played really often and is boring, but when matt helders plays 4/4, its fucking in a different level
You gotta check out other drummers. They’re great don’t get me wrong I wouldn’t call them complicated, it’s 4/4
@@vyce51 I was 16 when I said that, and yeah I dont think complex is the best word, his groove and feel is undeniable, a king of the 4/4 lol
This is Why
"Agile Beast" Title was granted to Matt Helders
His drumming is so on point, you can set an atomic clock after his drumming.
Haha, great comment
one hell of a drummer he is fkn quality
Matts facials are on point :') he's probably one of the best drummers out there :3
the agile beast

I bet Matt thought this was cool when they recorded the song in the studio.
Now he has to do it at every gig.
Well hes sped it up so obviously not a struggle!

2:45 i know u want it
I knew i'm not the only drummer who make weird faces while playing!! cheers to Matt
What a Beast!
You can see it 0:44, 2:04, 3:44 and many others details. The center view is not the same than the 4 others. Remember, At The Apollo was filmed for a DVD, Monkeys probably performed 2 days, and the production mixed that.
It was just the one gig, the editing is what makes it unsynchronized
the 3:44 one was amazin xD
This guy is a fucking beast lot of respect
Seriously solid and underrated
Where can I find more videos like this??? I mean, WHERE. I need to watch him drumming, it gives me life
I think it was part of the dvd box they released. Arctic Monkeys at the Apollo. I’m not sure, but I think it comes from there
yes , on the dvd they have the whole concert from matts pov ( I watched it years and years ago and haven't found the whole thing online since).
I fucking love this guy
Awesome thank you
I love the little ride cymbal bridges he does in the studio recording, and he changed them here
He says in an interview once that he never really uses the ride
The absolute king of 4/4😊
Alright for a guy that took up the drums cos every other instrument was taken eh!
One of the best DRUMMERS!!!!

Densmore, Bonham, watts and ringo are all smiling upon this man

matt is a beast
Incredible
Matt is a total beast.
Drummers and DJs...
The hardest working and most vital members of any live performance but more or less ignored.
Matt❤❤❤
Helders is a fucking monster
Happy Birthday Matty !! :D

This guy is a fucking beast!
THX FOR THE RATE WHOEVER YOU ARE
Man it's so obvious that they filmed the other angles in post-production lol, in some of them he does things that clearly aren't in the original live recording.

I think most of the scenes were filmed after the concert, except the middle camera in the second row, was filmed live, as you see, there is no crash sound in that camera view
Willian Berwanger

Best drummer ever in my opinion
The best drumming ever
I love this video but I hate that it’s delayed and doesn’t match the sound 😩.
Why is there no sound from the crash at 0:43?
two days of concert, mix of images, they take a second day take, sorry for my bad english
Fucking. Nice
He’ makes the band
es mas cerrado el highhat igual, y la coordinacion en general

Lol, soooooo different styles.
making o-faces all perfomance long
It’s easy to create guitar riffs when you have a drummer like this. Just saying.
Chsm, toca bien vergas
Dejen de comparar lo que hace, perdedores
When Mark Zuckerberg start drumming?
