from middle school to the ending of my college career, arctic monkeys has always been a place that i can fall back on and feel okay. cheers to another album!
same 😭😭😭 I remember fallin for them in middle school and now i’m 21 and still fully in love with this amazing band
I’m 28…fell for them at 13…been here since 2007 ✌🏽
literally the same for me!!!

@@applefrogs664 are you… me?
I have a lot of respect for Arctic Monkeys, making the music they want and not what the critics want, we need more of this in modern music because this new album is fantastic.
Not critics, casual listeners*
I agree with all the rest tho
@@animo9208yeah the critics freaking LOVED this album, the fans... are a bit split 😅
absolutely!

@@ShoelaceMusic one of their best songs in the album mate

I feel the same exact way! I've been listening to AM since 2007 so when I watched this performance- I literally cried. With how crazy this world is right now- This music is beyond REFRESHING. LOVE THESE GUYS! 🥰🌹

They sound like that feeling you have when you just had a relaxing shower and go to sleep on a bed with a fresh set of pillows and sheets.
Totally get what u mean loll
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂yeah baby
they sound better in their live performances than in studio i swear! How is that possible?!
Maybe that's the idea, and the album it's meant to be listened live, that be so cool ❤️

Instruments, good vocals.
no 100% cuz i almost can't stand Alex's vocals on their newer material but here I actually kinda enjoyed it!
1000% agree, the album version is good but it's God tier live
This song has a little bit of everything that they did in the past albums and it fits perfectly. Thank you for existing, Arctic Monkeys!

Idk, to me it sounds a lot more like Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino than any other album. Which is fine with me!
It's lame, they don't rock out anymore.
this song is literally masterpiece..
I love it as well and I don’t know why there’s a lot of hate in the comments. It’s a different vibe than what they’ve done in the past so maybe it’s that.
not really
@@sanick4864 dbag reply, so cool.
Jesus Christ his voice is incredible! The entire band sounds amazing, even better than the album version in my opinion. You’d almost think Alex was lip syncing because of how flawless his singing is! Wow. Definitely one of the top bands I want to see live someday!
Tell em.
He has voice ...❤❤💜👏👏👏👍👍👍💯💯💯
They are amazing live!!! Alex sounds even better live!
He still sings so beautiful like always ❤
Holy shit they sound even better live than in the studio

That's what happens when you are actually talented musicians, vocalists and lyricists. Genuine beauty.
I was here for this performance! It was definitely a surprise for a Wednesday taping. They wouldn’t tell us who the special musical guest was until the band walked onstage and one girl yelled out, “it’s Arctic Monkeys!”
You’re so lucky, I’d kill to see them live. Hope you had a good time :)
That's amazing! What a memory to have, thanks for sharing
That's awesome.
@@yourlittlevenicebtch4258 🤣 You don't need to kill, just buy a ticket! I've seen them six times, worked for them once.
@@nayf7682 um I don’t exactly have that huge amount of money just laying around and even if I did, Arctic monkeys aren’t even playing in the country I live in (Sweden) closest would probably be London and there’s no way I’d have the time or money for plane tickets to London, a hotel in London, money for food and ofc the tickets.
Idk how serious your comment was, maybe slightly jokingly but man you’re really privileged and lucky to be able to do those things
Whoever mixed this deserves a raise. Spectacular sound quality.👏
right!?
All performances on The Tonight Show are this well mixed. The sound engineer is amazing.
Every live recording sounds as good as a studio recording. I`ve said the same as you before. Sound engineering is incredible. It helps that they are epic as well of course.
I was 34 when I first heard about them playing pubs and clubs in my and their hometown of Sheffield. I got to see them live several times. I'm 54 now but their music still resonates with me enormously. I love the twists and turns their style takes. Ive got tickets for the Hillsborough show...cant wait. By the way, embrace your youth and remember....time flies so fast. 👍

They formed in 2002 but you're right, they played their first gig at the wonderful Grapes pub in Sheffield city centre in 2003. 👍

you can really connect alex’s songwriting between tbhc and everything you’ve come to expect it’s incredible!! just amazing growth and insane pure talent
Those two, plus a bit of a Beatles vibe with experimental sounds. More and more. I definitely want to see them get more weird with it as time goes on!
I definitely think this is going to be a great album. Likely different than any before, but still amazing. That's my guess anyway!
Thanks to Alexandra Saviorrr

Yep agreed, he's really connected the two sounds now. Great album on the cards here I think.
Love everything you come to expect album . One of my all time favourite albums
The UK tour couldn’t come any quicker 🙌

Underrated ahh comment
honestly to see how much Alex was feeling it made the song sound even better than the studio version. love how the new music connects to Tranquility while still being a whole different vibe for them.
The new album can't come quick enough!
This and Mirrorball have both been incredible
yes!
Couldn’t agree more, something about the songs just make me feel a certain way, I cannot wait for the album and can’t wait to see them live next year
I'm very excited for this one. Based on what we've heard so far, it's going to be another memorable and great album. This should have been the first single I think though! Would have gotten more people on board I bet. Either way, it's stellar work!
I think they definitely grow on you

The last two minutes have serious Moonage Daydream vibes about it. Love it
i love that this song showcases Alex's higher vocal range and he just NAILED all the notes in this performance - i'm so proud of how far he's come since they started
@chris jones I think it’s the exact opposite. His voice is maturing and it seems like he’s really trying to do things the “right” way rather than putting on an act
@chris jones Bruh its way harder to sing like this than how he used to...
@chris jones you just don't know anything about singing
@chris jones or maybe he just wants to sing in a different style as he matures. the crooner thing is really working for him.
@chris jones He's clearly improved vastly as a singer. His voice is lower and deeper than the early days, so he sings some highest stuff in falsetto or changed some high notes, but there is more to singing well than shouting high notes. His control is much better, his tone is richer and imo pleasing, he uses falsetto in a great way (I have a relativley high voice, and some of the notes he does are pretty low for falsetto, which can be challenging to get a good tone on), he's on pitch more often than on early live shows (while still not perfect showing he doesn't use auto-tune).
You may have prefered his singing on early records, and it was by no means bad and suited the material well, but saying Alex Turner can't sing anymore is pretty close to being objectively false.
I bloody love when artists do what they really want, and this is what really is important
I hear ya' - but it's just a rubbish song 😂

I have really fallen for this song the more and more I listen to it! There is something so unique in the notes of this melody, it's elusive and artistic. I can't quite put my finger on it!🥰
It's basic music, for basic bitches. Terrible.
Super Last Shadow Puppets. Alex's sound definitely evolved after that project

I'm very excited for this album. Mirrorball was good, but this one really takes the cake. It's like a mixture of the Beatles experimental sound with Bowie's stuff from the 70s

I wouldn't say pop icons in 2013

There'd Better Be a Mirrorball is so wonderful. When I hear the studio version of Body Paint yesterday, I just was not at all impressed (just my opinion) but then I hear this live version and I can hear what they hear. This was a brilliant performance that isn't captured well in the studio version.
