I respect that host so much. He can see that Alex is far more comfortable singing rather than talking, that he's not in his element and so he does an amazing job speaking sincerely and respectfully, without any sort of pressure or idiotic jokes that so many others do. The slow pace of the interview and host's professionalism made Alex relax and be himself here far more than he usual does.

He's a very nice person. People who say he is a jerk don't know him at all. When you're an artist, I think it is important to have some kind of mask to protect himself from the world of sharks and he does it with humor and elegance.

This interview is just pure class all the way through. The easy banter. The informed questions. The interested responses. Two genuine dudes, one room, both with a role to play, filling space on radio airways without a hiccup. I'm appreciating the skill on both fronts. It doesn't hurt that Turner's vocals are the epitome of smooth.
As much as I love the Monkeys and enjoyed this show, I have to say that the interview was pretty damn bad. Yes, the interviewer was really prepared but Alex's one word responses really killed that - especially the first part. That was almost cringy. Nah, no hate intended, I'm here for the music, not his speaking skills

This host seems like the loveliest man. His passion for music is so strong you can tell that he feels the need to restrain himself a lot of the time. Alex comes across nice too but slightly smarmy (as many an intelligent English lad does). Still a huge fan of the monkeys and love this acoustic stuff. Really given me a greater appreciation of these songs.

I think Alex has the best voice I have ever heard.

He hasn't turned into a prick, he's just grown up a bit. And even so he was always a trouble maker, watch him slagging off Take That or causing trouble in the Sky news room, it's just the way he is. And he's not cocky, this year when the fans started singing Happy Birthday to him during a gig, he got embarrassed and overwhelmed. Also I think people should watch more than just the Brit Awards before making assumptions.

The host has such a kind and gentle nature about him. He reminds me of a children’s story narrator. He has a comforting and warm voice.

It's funny how back then this interview was my getaway when I felt sad or emotional because I loved how soothing Alex's voice is and how the acoustics calm me down and the pretty lights and that cheered me up so much but now it makes me so emotional because it reminds me of those times. It wasn't a particularly great time of my life then but it was a whole lot better than now, so.
Now that you mention it, this video is very calming indeed.

It's been a while since i watched this amazing video! And wow.. people are hating on Alex just because of his looks? Unbelievable. He's incredibly talented, has never done or said anything controversial or offensive and is actually very kind when meeting his fans. So I'm here, in 2021, listening to this piece of art after 2 years of pandemic and during the worst period of my life. I wish I could thank Alex in person for the soothing help he's giving me simply using his beautiful voice and his guitar. I know I might never be able to do that, but I'm glad that his music will always be here for me.
