The way you do muscleups is crazy. Most of those other guys are using a lot of legs to balance or even explode into the muscleup. Yours looks like it’s all arms!
This is the guy that did 15 one arm pull-ups (strict form too) instagram.com/dimamalahov1/ And of course you can't miss Tazio Biondo, who did over 1 hour of hanging rest. ruclips.net/user/heibiondo83videos
Thanks Magnus! I was wondering why it is important to straighten the arm on your second exercise? is it to "rebound" or something like that? Maybe I might give it a try because I tend to be quite static on the campus board, unless i doubledyno! And personally I prefer the talking part Magnus, getting to know the lifestyle of a pro climber/businessman is sure interesting ! Anyway, I hope you won't worry too much about that and just do what you want !
Magnus, this vlog is great and I've learned SO MUCH from your training tips. I mostly enjoy the episodes when you're excited to climb. As long as you are happy about what you are producing, you do not need to cater to us viewers. The authenticity and sincerity will be there and it's great to watch. Keep up the great work!
Great intro to this one Magnus, it had me laughing out loud watching it! Also, what's the theory behind practicing the 'double drop-dyno' on the campus board, I'm not sure what it's training?
I would think contact strength (ability to contract muscles very quickly and create tension the moment you touch a hold) and explosiveness if you were to move back upwards as the muscles need to quickly switch from an eccentric loading phase to a concentric one.
Crack!! Great video! Great flow! Short. Great climbing. Loved the flight to the gym. I just loved it man! Congrats! And keep up you mussle ups dude. Lol.
Awesome work Magnus!!! Would be great to see you do some problems on a moon board, I'm thinking of building one in my garden after trying one for the first time this weekend.
I love my campusboard (if you can call it that) and havnt climbed in years. I only have 3 steps on it (it hangs above a door in my room so not much more place) and they are pretty big (2.5 cm). Use it mostly for pull ups, hangtime and core training....The most important thing for the not experienced people is to never let loose your shoulders and use your back by pushing out your chest and keep your arms bend
Just an observation regarding your coffee, I have the same machine, your grind is too large you should be getting about 60ml of coffee(double shot) when using the large basket. Should take 25-30 seconds to pour. Do you have a grinder or buy pre-ground coffee, French press is too large, for an espresso machine.
Literally laughing out loud at this one! Any time you show your sense of humor, it really adds a lot to the vlogs. (Not that you're gonna see this, since the video is nearly 2 years old, but oh well. It'll help the RUclips algorithm know which vids to push out to people.)
Hi Magnus! I personally find your videos very cool, inspiring and ORIGINAL and this is probably the most important feature that every content with quality should have.. i think that you have found the right way to "use" vlogs not only to show some parts of your life as a climber , but to create a "relationship" with your followers and subscribers and this is cool. So maybe you can think about a way to involve even better your followers! Thanks for your videos and your precious tips!!
Hi, i just saw your videos fo the first time, they're really cool! one question, im starting to do campus and i was doing this training where i sport climbed, then do exercises like pull ups, abs, running couple miles and then campus and some friends told me it was ineficient cause i was training everything in the same session (endurance, power, fingers). So the question is should i separate my training like one day endurance, one day power or should i keep my routine? im 21 btw and been climbing for about 2 years. i've done 6c and now i want to train seriously. my goal for the end of the year is at least 7a. Thanks in advance!
very good with some additional information about technique on the campusboard! and if you want to do more muscleups you should add more kipping, unless you are going for strict muscleups
The number of muscle ups really depends on how much swing you use, those two other guys were kipping a lot more than you did. Also I'm pretty sure there are lots of gymnasts who are good on rings that can do 30 or more
Please comunicate more:D please dont worry about those bloggers, you are awesome at what you do. Climbing and everything to making amazingly inspirational videos! Dont be shy dude:D your amazing!!!
Your muscleups were way more strict than Kali Muscle's ones. I'm shure if you try to swing a little bit you could go up to 20 or even more. Very impressive, thoug. Keep it up.
Awesome vid, I have a question I have been climbing for about 3 months now and about midway through my session my elbow starts to get pain. Only happens when I climb but afterwards it feels totally fine.
Sick vid dude. Question about skin care though. If you’d be so kind? I climb quite often so my skin should stay solid, but I work construction and sweat in my gloves all day so they get pretty soft on rest days. Do you think there’s solution to keeping my skin tough despite the moisture?
great stuff man! if you wanna see the king of muscle ups search for max true :) he actually has the official world record. love your vids! such an inspiration
Awesome intro, hahaha:D. I think u can do 20+ muscle ups if you dont train 7 hours before you try^^: Keep up the good work!
It's amazing that he is so close despite no specialized training and not being fresh
Inspector gadget :D :D :D
super cool intro!! really love the parts of the video where ur not just climbing

You recharge the muscle by straitening your arm before launching for the next move. Hope it works for you!
Shirt comes off at 10:51. You're welcome.
Colton Heeney Do you even...climb :)?
b0t b0t Everyday. But only after I lift.

Great episode, the campusing tips were really useful!
Awesome opening. You have great content. Thank you Magnus
Your videos are becoming more funny, I like it. Maybe its cause of your girlfriend :)
As a beginning climber (bit over year and a half), my fingers just hurt watching the campus board routine...
Awesome work Magnus!!! Would be great to see you do some problems on a moon board, I'm thinking of building one in my garden after trying one for the first time this weekend.
Magnus, I really like all your videos. Talking, climbing, etc. Keep up the good work
Regarding quality your best video so far! Keep them like this one :)
I have learned a lot by watching this video. Keep it up!!
And now 3 years later Magnus has been taught by the Wide Boyz crack climbing.
Hahaha. I forgot how much I liked the intro to this video. :-P Magnus! You need to let out your whacky goofy side more!
Can you make a video about hangboarding? Good Channel :D

Love the intro;D and happy birthday🎉:)
Why are you making climbing videos when you can fly
Just an observation regarding your coffee, I have the same machine, your grind is too large you should be getting about 60ml of coffee(double shot) when using the large basket. Should take 25-30 seconds to pour. Do you have a grinder or buy pre-ground coffee, French press is too large, for an espresso machine.
Can you show us a workout progression to flying? I’ve been trying since I was 5 and still cant seem to get it haha. Great video as always!

Best intro ever! That slab problem looks super cool too

Make for us a one arm pull ups tutorial please
Cool intro Magnus....
Very pleasantly surprised I’m not the only person that flies to the gym.
Have you done Action Directe? If not, are you planning to?
For en massiv intro
Nice vid! Can you recommend a certain grade, that you should have, for using the campus board?
muscle ups world record for different body weight i guess
The number of muscle ups really depends on how much swing you use, those two other guys were kipping a lot more than you did. Also I'm pretty sure there are lots of gymnasts who are good on rings that can do 30 or more
Where can I get that blue jacket/parka/whatever? :D
Awesome intro! :D
Today i won't talk, instead I'll fly to the gym
Do you can fly? It's really cool! "MMPower instead of the superman".
First guy was Kali Muscle. Lol 😂
Isn't it cheating for a climber if he can fly?

I climb quite often so my skin should stay solid, but I work construction and sweat in my gloves all day so they get pretty soft on rest days. Do you think there’s solution to keeping my skin tough despite the moisture?
you were only able to do 13 muscle ups but had perfect form, the others were jumping with their legs
Super Magnus what's your Kryptonite!
great stuff man! if you wanna see the king of muscle ups search for max true :) he actually has the official world record. love your vids! such an inspiration
