Unless you've been living under a rock, can't say I blame you these days, you might've heard about how car prices have been ungodly high these last few years since the pandemic.
For pretty much all of 2021 and 2022, new and used car prices were becoming increasingly unreasonable for just about every car model. One such case, is this lady who had the misfortune of working with a car salesman that ended up hustling her for a whopping $138,000+ on a Dodge Challenger Scat Pack that would've otherwise normally cost most people, out the door, $60k brand new.

Everybody says that they should teach students how to do their taxes in highschool because it’s actually useful.
I say that they should teach students about finance. Teach them about interest rates, compounding, risk free rates, amortization, etc. Then give them real word examples of how it works (e.g. car loans, home mortgages, etc.).
The route of the problem is that so many people don’t understand how money works or what they are truly capable of affording. Hell, many students come out of college with a bachelors and get into some ridiculous car loan. Yet they are supposed to be “educated.” People just make it too easy for salesmen to take advantage of them.
