I got one of these a couple years ago, and I really like it, but . . .
. . .it desperately needs a compensated bridge, or it won't play in tune in higher positions.
I spent a couple of days and compensated mine -- and went through three sets of strings in the process -- and now it plays great. Bur really, it would be nice if they put a comped bridge on it at the factory.
I want that thing so dang bad. Been looking at it for nearly half a year. Just don't have the spending money for it.

It's a very small Acoustic Bass Guitar that you can bring anywhere but is made to have big sound because alot of them from the past sound like toys.
This may be a dumb question.. can this be played through a guitar amp or would I need to purchase a bass amp?
It's tuned like the bottom four strings of a guitar -- so you can play it through a guitar or a bass amp. This is not the same as the Kala U-bass, which is tuned an octave lower. It's a different instrument, and has its own place.
