Very good bike-trailer but I would have put the part tilted forward to make it more aerodynamic.
You should change the direction of the trailer, you will see that it will be easier to move forward.

Why wood and not aluminum?
I would think the weight of the wood would add up plus if wood gets wet it swells and deteriorates? just asking because I would like to build one as well
