For Tyreek to run this fast after putting his body thru 7 years of NFL punishment is absolutely incredible. His time would have even been faster if he was running against an elite field. No way he would win against the top runners, but for Tyreek to do this at 29 years of age, when most NFL WRs have slowed down considerably, it needs to be appreciated instead of getting criticized. The Cheetah is still running as fast as his best high times, it’s just amazing when you consider the punishment and injuries he has put his body thru playing in the NFL. Bravo Cheetah!
I'm not sure his body is that punished. I think what's more impressive is that he pisses out this time having not done track for years, in the middle of winding down for the off season, having built his body for the rigours of football and not track. Now imagine he got in a proper training block ONLY for sprints and got a track coach. Make no mistake, Hill could go much quicker than this if he suddenly decided to change professions. He had elite speed as a young man doing track and he'd likely have it again now, but what he's doing as a skill player in the NFL is much more impressive to me than running fast in a straight line so please do stick with football, Tyreek - lol.
The announcer said his last time on a track was 9 years. Hill made it look like his last time was 9 minutes ago. That's how easy and effortlessly he made it look.
I mean to be fair Tyreek absolutely has a lifestyle conducive to being an excellent track athlete. Just because he’s not a professional sprinter doesn’t mean he’s not training (with too tier coaching, which the others most likely do not have) to maximize his sprinting ability.
To give this perspective, the fastest 60m time in the NCAA right now is 6.46s by Terrance Jones of Texas Tech. Unfortunately, Hill's 6.70s wouldn't even rank him in the top 25 this year but for someone that hasn't focused on track in 9 years, 6.70s is pretty impressive.

6.70 sec is fast. However, world class sprinters are usually in the 6.5 range or below. And this had to be some kind of prelim because the competing athletes were all above 7 sec. I didn’t even see John cena in lane 1. Dudes invisible
Because this is a fkn hobby meet. These are not pros, and if they where Tyreek would get smooooked
Masters meets are just for people who are either too old to be pro or ate the sub elite level! Little confusing for non track folks but not a pro race.
This guy would make a sick receiver in the nfl. Someone should sign him
New two sport athletes today get little credit. That was a unique heat
They get credit it’s just not enough surprise now it’s amazing no doubt that boy bless with fast twitch muscle fibers! Best believe Deion sanders and Bo Jackson what impressed me with Deion he played both sports in the same day talking about endurance!
He’s Fast Enough To Run In The Worlds, Imagine If He Trained For Track Full Time?!!!…
His time is about 120th best for Mens in the 60m this year
@@Kcemate SLOW
He would get blazedd
Doesn't even break HS top 10!
Tyreeks almost 30 yrs old too. Little diff than being a 20 yrs old kid that just runs track. Also think about the amount of hits Tyreek has taken in all of his years of football. Don't compare him to kids that are strictly running track. The dude is unbelievable
Who tf is he racing?
Mofos that delivered your GrubHub order just last week. You don’t recognize them?😂
Nice start off the blocks, quickly found his rhythm, race was over 10M in.
6.70 sec is fast. However, world class sprinters are usually in the 6.5 range or below.
And this had to be some kind of prelim because the competing athletes were all above 7 sec.
I'm not talking down on Tyreek. I Just want to keep it real: Unlike some media echo I perceived, he does not dominante track running with a 6.70.
Maybe he wasn’t tryin hard bub
@@drulamane He might be able to go faster. Most likely when he has a worthy opponent going toe to toe with him.
But as long as he runs 6.70 against guys who are obviously not on a competitive level, his hype for track isn't justified (but his hype on football is, don't get me wrong).
The spring in his jjump with the mid air leg stretch told me everything i needed to know about what was about to unfold.
He just blew them away
The race is not ever close. Tyreek Hill’s speed is definitely next level.
Trending Topic Talk We need to see Tyreek against high level sprinters.
Example...........NCAA just had their indoor track and field championships a few days ago in Alburquerque. Tyreek's 6.70 in the 60M would have placed him dead last against the college kids in the 60M final.
I feel like If I was in this race I wouldn’t come in last
To lose by that far over 60m is frickin ridiculous. Those guys were hopeless!
