For sure, especially if you want a more versatile daily trainer with support. It isn't a soft shoe, if you compare to other shoes. The new Hurricane 24 for instance will give you more cushioning and support, if that is what you are looking for. Hope this helps. Lars
Right now it’s in a structured cushion category. So they have just renamed the category to get away from the previous notion of stability, which we are all for. But we have to make our titles be found online, so we still have to use the word stability. Which I still think this shoe does really well. I have actually not taken the shoe off since this review and find it awesome to both walk and run in. Lars
It's always fun that a company has such a tricky name that no person on the internet says it the same way. We try our best, but with English not being our first language we apparently haven't perfected saying sock-a-knee yet. Thanks for the comment, have a great day. Lars
returned my guide17, its a odd shoe. over engineered bulky upper, grip poor and clear step backwards from guide15/16 which ran light and smooth. GT2000/12 better shoe in all areas
Hey, That's the beauty of running shoes and people with different tastes. I would use the Guide 17 above any other stability shoe out there, it is far more runnable and better suited to my gait. I've already crossed 100k in mine and they still have that great rockered sensation! That doesn't make you wrong though. Thanks for your input. Hopefully, other runners will see it as well and it will make them able to make the right decision for their running needs. Lars
@@RunningXpert 100% gait makes shoes very different for each runner, for me the SuperBlast casts a large shadow over all shoes now including passive stability options. Give me a wide platform and passive stability of a GT2000 but add ffTurbo and a lighter upper.
Hey, I wouldn't say it is a max cushion shoe, because it is still firm. We had the Guide 17 at an Expo two weeks ago, and previous Guide runners I saw try it on noticed the rocker but were quite happy with the stability and feel of the foam. But it always comes down to taste. Just know it's not a soft shoe. Lars
What is your favorite stability shoe? And will you try out the new Guide 17?
You guys should do more reviews...love your content from 🇨🇦🇨🇦
Do they take on water like the guide 16? I only have to run down a slightly damp street to be squelching
Is this good for heaby runner?

@@RunningXpert thank you 🙏🏽 I'll check it out
Correct me, but I don’t think Saucony lists the Guide series on their own website as a stability shoe any longer.

The shoe company pronounces it sock-a-knee.

looks like a clifton or an arahi
I can see what you mean. The rockered shape and sidewalls give the shoe quite a new look.

Why not Tempus?
