@@kevingame3198 Yes but lowering the stakes of the mcguffin artifacts from each one to being artifacts like in TF Prime, The Fallen showing up in the far future, and removing any prior encounters with humans throughout history but anything Cybertronian related being deep underground or where humans haven't gone to before. With it just focusing on Autobots waging a battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons in modern day since Megatron has yet to take the stage in these movies. I assume everyone is crossing their fingers that he is a powerful tyrant(choose which one you think, they are all good in their own right) who doesn't become a bootlicker to someone supposedly stronger than him.
Michael Bays maybe got a lot of bad reputation for putting too much explosions and actions over the years, but keep in mind that the CGI effects of the Cybertronians transformed into any form of vehicles looked impressive for 2007 standards.
As much as I love Bayformers and always will since they got me primarily into Transformers, it's time for a new clean slate and thankfully RotB will deliver it (Paramount please get rid of Lorenzo and make Travis Knight a producer..)

It's a reboot. The film 100% confirms it. Lorenzo has continuously tried connecting the two, but the story itself speaks for itself. I love the Bayverse and get up watching it, but this new direction is a healthy move for the franchise, imo. Glad you're shining a light on it. Also, thanks for the plug, my guy!

I think the new reboot films have both nostalgia for the 80s and some Bayverse stuff to it. I think it is a fan franchise made by fans for the fans. We don't need academy awards, just decent fun movies and good toys.
@budgiecat2885 Don’t even compare the Bayverse Transformers to the 1994 Fantastic Four because most of the Bayverse Transformers movies are way better than that monstrosity. It’s actually a really good thing that the new movies added a little touch of Bayverse design to them because that way ALL Transformers fans can feel good about it, especially the Bayverse fans.
The Bayverse will forever be a part of my childhood but after TLK I think it's time to move on to a new direction that isn't a complete mess. I know there will be hardcore Bayverse fans that will scream their head off about the cliffhanger. But some of us want a Transformers movie that is fresh and something everyone can like not just mindless high octane action, weird humor, large human screen time and very little character development from the TF. Some of us would like stories that mean something, characters that we care about besides their looks. I understand the Bayverse is what made transformers more popular than it was at it's time but some of us need a breather from all the bayhem. I believe the reason why AOE and TLK were bad was because MB was tired if making the films but Hasbro wanted more and MB wanted to make it clear in a subtly way. I hope this movie will be good for new and old fans to enjoy.

To be honest I never really understood why there was ever any doubt all this time, haha. The changes in Bumblebee made it pretty clear that we were starting from a clean slate. 😅 The Bay movies, with all their flaws, (In the sequels especially) were loads of fun and they'll always hold a special place in my inner child's heart, but it is definitely time for a fresh start. Can't wait to watch this!
@@GeekOwtLowd With all due respect my guy, that logic dictates that Transformers Prime, Rescue Bots, and the War for Cybertron games are ALL in the Bayverse, which we both know they're not. 😅 I'm seeing some other pushback in the replies, so I'll also just add that the folks behind Bumblebee have come and outright said that while it was ORIGINALLY intended to be a prequel, (Hence the Bay-isms that remained throughout production, like Bee's face and alt mode) they decided it would be best to just scrap that and start off fresh, making it a reboot.
Completely agree. Like you said, the Bayverse is always gonna be available to watch. It's not going anywhere. For me personally, the Og trilogy is where it should have ended. And this reboot does give me hope because now Jazz can possibly make a comeback and not die in his first film appearance! And there are fewer limitations. Megatron really should have been in Bumblebee, but because he was frozen in the Arctic, he couldn't make an appearance. I'll always love the Bayverse, as it's what I grew up with, but I'm very open-minded and very optimistic for this new generation of transformers. I just hope we actually get to see the transformers, unlike The Last Knight.
We need a transformers movie based on the TFA series. I don’t care if anyone thinks it’s a bad idea, I just wanna see decepticons that are triple the size of autobots. And I like the idea that a “Magnus” is a level above a “prime” that Optimus had to earn. I just want more than what we got. Surely I’m not the only one feeling this way…

Literally watched Bumblebee with my mom yesterday in preparation for ROTB and we were both honestly blown away by how *fantastic* it actually was. We both agreed Bumblebee is miles ahead of any of the Bay films. We are both genuinely excited for this new direction
Bumblebee is extremely mid. The problems people say the Bay films have, Beewun has it too. They just ignore the problems cause “it’s not Bay” They both do things differently and they have their own pros and cons.
@@Notsimple854 storyline is a watered down E.T./ Iron Giant, has a lot of character issues and plot issues as well. CGI isn't better or worse. It doesn't focus on the cybertronians much either, just Bee and Charlie for majority of it. And most of that is filler. Fights aren't better or worse nor is the acting better or worse.

Agreed the first 3 was aimed at us around that age but the AOE and TLK didn’t feel right but rightfully so micheal bay said he wanted just the trilogy but they wanted more
I do enjoy the first 3 films for what they are and how they helped grow the franchise, but after AOE and TLK, I'm fine with a new vision taking over. I just hope what we get is more consistent and better handled than before.
I think that if they'd shown Bay the Combaticons and said "Think Apocalypse Now", he might have made the best possible Transformers he could. With art its always best you play to the passions and strengths of those creating it.
As a 2003 born, I do sometimes miss the Bayverse (1-3 being a part of my childhood) But I think it's for the best that it ended after the last 2, now a new generation can enjoy the Transformers :)
I wish there would be a transformers movie focused on resource acquisition. There should be like five transformers in each faction with a focus on them as actual characters, like in transformers animated. Second movie could focus on a space bridge where decepticona are trying to increae their ranks, maybe bring in the constructicons while autobots try to get omega supreme.

I wouldn't mind small easter eggs of the Bayverse, like old designs showing up or quotes. Or hell, if they ever come up with a multiverse thing and mix up other cartoons on live action, like Armada and some of the Bayverse (the trilogy, not AoE or TLK) it would be dope.
Steve Caple did say "reboot" in this video but what people are forgetting is that at the press conference for ROTB all the executives and Lorenzo dB have also REPEATEDLY said ROTB is a prequel. Steve Caple himself has also denied it being a reboot in other interviews.
And that right there is why I really don't like people who think these new films are reboots. No, not because they think that, but the simple fact they don't listen whenever you try to provide a counter source that doesn't align with what they want (i.e. Lorenzo who's honestly just doing his job for the past seven films)
I feel your pain I thought dark of the moon was the last favorite transformers movie ever but when they made transformers four and five, what did they do?🙁 but when I watched the bumblebee movie, my mind was blown🤩 and I’m excited to go see rise of the beast and I watch dark to the moon 15 times because the movie was just epic
The Bayverse introduced me to Transformers and at first, I defended it like all the ppl down in the comments under any TF videos. But I quickly picked up the animated shows and the comics and realized just how...bad the Bayverse movies were. The only thing they got right is the CGI and the action sequence, they are very good. But I want more characterization of the Autobots/Decepticons and not solely the humans.
That’s a poor choice of words. Bumblebees producers and paramount themselves made it so confusing and hard to know if it was actually a prequel or reboot. It had so many elements that would lead viewers to think it’s a prequel to 2007.
The movie is a reboot through and through and is a perfect breakout point from the flawed Bayformers series. Though I do like the first film (and have a soft spot for the fourth film), things need to change for the franchise and take the failures of the last few films and improve on them. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura's insistence of keeping them in the world where The Last Knight exists just really makes me sick due to his arrogance.
If by any chance, the live action Movieverse finally introduced Vector Prime Correctly and he said "I'm a traveller from different worlds", then we can assure that the Multiverse will happen also its better we call the new movies "The Beeverse" coming from the movie Bumble Bee

As someone who grew up with the Bayverse, I was pretty mixed when a couple years back they said that Bumblebee was a reboot, but I kinda pretended like it wasn’t for a while 😅 After this movie, while I very much enjoyed it more than I was expecting, I’m still kinda overall mixed on the direction. Like for one, I’m happy that we’re getting more live action TF movies, two I’m happy that overall they’re being liked, and 3 Peter Cullen is still the goat. But the designs in the Bayverse are way more interesting and better in my opinion and that goes for the transformations themselves and even the sound design. The action in ROTB was amazing so thankfully no complaints there, but as someone who didn’t exist in the 80s or 90s I got no nostalgia for those times and I feel that both of those decades (especially 80s) has been done to death in the media, and just an fyi, I have seen a good amount of the original G1 cartoon so it’s not like I’m uncultured or anything 😉 I don’t really know where I’m going with this but all I can say is I’m happy that TF is still here, but I’m always gonna be a sucker for the Bayverse no matter what anyone says about it! I'm not quite annoyed by Lorenzo's insistence on this not being a reboot so much as every time he opens his mouth I think, "sure grandpa, let's get you to bed."
He said it's a reboot in terms of a new *direction* and it's a refresher, meaning they're doing something new. Paramount said the same thing. Noone said they're rebooting it in terms of starting over the franchise with a completely clean slate, you guys just gotta watch the movies without trying to ruin something for the other half of the fanbase, I like both bayverse and Travisverse, it's logically better to just unite the two while going in a new direction which Paramount seems like they're doing and have already stated. And that's the reason why they haven't made Lorenzo shut up already guys, like why is this billion dollar company letting that man speak all this stuff about it not being a reboot, he would've been given a warning or fired by now. Some of yall might not like it but eventually you gotta look at what's going on. If it's a reboot, Paramount and hasbro would loose so much money cuz they'd lose half the fanbase. If they went in the bayverse direction, they'd also lose half the fanbase. And I think they know that, which is why many people of the fanbase thinks it's a merge of both and why they never seem to fully say it's a clean slate of the timeline and why Lorenzo is allowed to say what he wants. i like both Verse no matter what, Bayverse for the amount of nostalgia and realism it gave me, and the Rebootverse for the New bots and Story we got, they both have problems that i dont like but its Pros can always forgive those
I think to bring back the Dinobots I would go with Fall Of Cybertron story, how shockwave was the one that captured and experimented on Lightning Strike Coalition Force and they became the Dinobots.

I liked the Bayverse films which are for me my first introduction to Transformers as well extremely underrated ( that includes 4 & 5 which i like) Bumblebee is a great drama movie and it felt like a transformers movie but more so a drama film Rise of the beasts is a fun movie but I for me I had a couple issues with it, not to say its terrible but it a interesting film and ending I hope it will do well but it definitely needed more time
There are two ways I see this as, Lorenzo is bs-ing, or Lorenzo trying to bring the early success of the Bayformers from audiences until the reboot has enough audiences to sustain itself so they won't get another Bumblebee situation. Bumblebee made money, but it was lower than expected.
It really sucks too, cause Lorenzo is reason bumblebee couldn’t go as hard as it wanted too, and now we’re already in 90’s in new timeline, I bet if Lorenzo would have let Travis knight do what he really wanted with first movie, bee wouldn’t be camaro again, and we prob wud have already got optimus, more decepticons, more action, and most of all, a bad ass 80’s hair metal soundtrack to match, not that I don’t love bumblebee, I just think Knight wanted it to be so much more, like we all just want a live action 86’ 🤷🏻♂️🤣
For my own entertainment yes I got bored as well from watching Age Of Extinction and The Last Knight. Age Of Extinction was just a lot of emotions I had toward the story. Ratchet’s death was just a heart breaking moment I felt in my hands. Made me feel berserk. Like no we had a great medical officer. I had no bother seeing other autobots dead but Ratchet was just a big no no for me. Also I have to say this Michael Bay did a good job lightning a spot for Crosshairs, Drift and Hound from the G1 Toys. I just love the way Crosshairs looks in AOE because he appears to be his own character. Those Transformers autobots didn’t get a chance to be popular back in the G1. Even The Last Knight got me bored out for the Michael Bay movies. Seriously The Michael Bay Transformers has grown old by pass decades. Let’s just appreciate Transformers change it’s skin to new era.
The only complaint I have is the Wheeljack change. I wouldn't call myself a Wheeljack fan, but I like consistency. And the fact he goes from very G1 accurate in Bumblebee to what he looks (and sounds like) in the trailers is very odd to me. I don't understand the reason fo the change.
The Bayverse saved transformers. It was struggling badly at the time. It revived the brand. He got Cullen back as Optimus, the CGI was amazing and of course the music. Its time for a goodbye. We should be grateful that Transformers still exists. It is a reboot and I wouldnt be to surprised if they somewhat remake Transformers 07. I really feel like thats their game plan. They remake it sort of. Like there will be the same beats and Megs probably being the final boss and end this reboot. Like where has he been? Frozen. Confirmed in a deleted bumblebee scene. So I wonder. 🤔
After watching the movie, im excited to see this new direction they are taking the franchise. I have a soft spot for the bay film as I grew up on them, but I'm also ready to move forward with new stories.

Like Cyberverse, Earthspark, or any new transformers content, I'm always open to new ideas while staying true to what we've learned from the past. But to be in denial of a series ending or just not performing well is where people get closer to feeling like Megatron. The Bayverse to me was, from a writing perspective, not that good. But whenever I go back, I see the quality in their filmmaking. Specifically in the first three films. It's OK to start something new and different from all this. Take what you learned and make it better
It’s a reboot and a good one. Transformers was epic when it first came out but lost the audience by throwing out complicated plots, over the top graphic violence and ridiculous explosive settings. Bumblebee was simple, wholesome family fun, and was continued by Rise of the Beasts. I loved it, my son loved it and my two daughters loved it. Nicely done.
I had to laugh at the idea that the Bayverse had a drop off in quality, due to the implication that they were quality to begin with. But, having said that, I do want to pull my brain out through my nose faster with the later movies than the earlier ones, so I guess I understand your general point...
Its like the G1 debate vs the new stuff (Animated, Prime, etc ) Noone can take those things from you. The Bayverse will still be there, theres like 6 of them! Go nuts. Same as the 80's cartoon, its still there, plus the '86 movie, go nuts!! Can we all just enjoy Transformers without it having to "belong" somewhere specific??
I don't know how much creative control producers have for a movie, especially a cinematic universe, but if producers have equal if not more creative power over the director the question will still linger in the air if not make the continuity of the reboot and Bayverse utterly confusing. I don't know what Hasbro and Paramount position in this is but I hope they consider BB and ROTB in a separate continuity from the Bayverse for everyone sanity.
You can’t deny the aesthetics pleasing of the transformers in the bay movies. You can have a random bystander on a street and ask which design is better and majority of them will choose the bay movie design. People who pick the original design is most likely due to nostalgia. It’s not really an argument. It’s very important if you want more people watching transformers.
The only thing i can think of is the dinobots scanned the metallic dinosaurs in age of extinction. Idk the 4th and 5th movie brought the trop of multiple villans that are not really the main. Age of extinction is cemetery wind, lockdown, galvatron, and the creators. Last knight is quintessa, unicron, nemissis, and megatron
At least the some of the Bayverse Transformers films were great, I own them on Blu-ray, and The Last Bayverse film was Indeed Transformers: The Last Knight.
If it's a reboot it was dumb of them to use the biggest, most ominous and powerful villain, Unicron, to showcase and defeat. There will be no hype and buildup for that character to possibly return in the future. To make the continuity work they should have defeated Unicron by absorbing and trapping him in the Earth's Core along with Scourge and the Terrorcons. Then the Autobots could have finally left Earth, with technological help from the Maximals to search for the Allspark. Bumblebee stays behind to watch over Earth and protect it. The Autobots meet up with others and split up to search galaxies for the Allspark. Have a post credit scene showing the Autobot Team (Optimus, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jazz) they have assumed more efficient intergalactic travel proto-forms due to not needing earth vehicle forms anymore for disguise. They are in a far distant galaxy when they find out that Megatron and the Allspark were already on Earth the whole time. Enter TF 2007.
That's stupid as hell. How would they trap the essence of Unicron? Why wouldn't there be any mention of all of these adventures? What about WW2 Bumblebee and Optimus in TLK saying that Unicron was a myth? Wouldn't defeating Unicron in 1 film by just trapping him make him seem even weaker? And they still haven't defeated Unicron, they have simply stopped him from going to other universes

Even in the original transformers show there is mass-shifting so they could essentially trap or condense Unicron into what is essentially a black hole and trap him in the core of the earth only for him to slowly escape because he is too powerful and that is why in TLK he is finally emerging out of the Earth's crust. Maybe Unicron's full power was never complete because he needed the Allspark or Matrix of Leadership or something. You've obviously never seen Transformers Prime where they discover the Earth is actually Unicron the whole time where masses of planet drew to Unicron due to his mass and gravity and essentially created the earth. And that bumblebee WW2 story was bullsh't that they made up to potentially have a spinoff about it that never came to fruition. It should never have been canon or even put in the film. Quit trying to debunk theory expansions and try to open your mind a little.
It's a good movie. Not as good as Bumblebee. But a decent movie. I really loved Prime and Primal's interaction. Honestly, just give me a whole movie of those two together and it'd be the best Transformers movie ever!
I'm a fan of Bayverse movies 1 2 and 3 at heart, but I do agree that the series needs or needed a fresh start. Some other people would also like movies about the TFA universe and that level of insanity, and I would love to see my big clumsy Lugnut and schizophrenic Blitzwing. Heck, the possible movies could also expand on that cancelled season and even more. We could see TFA Megatron as a triple changer! Oh well.
Just watched the movie yesterday...aaand yeah, I think im happy with this reboot, so far i like where this universe is going so far... Also the movie is pretty good, a solid 8.5/10

The only reason there's even any debate over whether it's a prequel or reboot despite how SCREAMINGLY OBVIOUS it is that it's a reboot is because the people working on the film are playing both sides to get as wide an audience as possible
The problem is that Lorenzo's the boss. Whether we like it or not, he's the one commissioning Scripts and greenlighting movies. Fact that he's crazy and out-of-touch is irrelevant. I don't know if you realized this, but we just witnessed the origin of the stupid ass accelerator suit from the first g.i. Joe movie. Lorenzo wants it all to be the same continuity, and he gives 0 shits if that continuity makes any sense.
If this is all a prequel, to the Bayverse, I see it losing some more people. Most audiences don't trust these movies after The Last Knight and it is hard to blame them. The Bayverse if it is not dead already is on life support.
2007 transformers showed optimus arriving to earth, 2018 bumblebee also showed optimus arrive but at a different time, so its a reboot, its that simple.
This is really disappointing. Dont get me wrong i think rebooting the franchise was the right call, but they should've gave the original universe a proper send off.
First of all it’s not a reboot and second rebooting this franchise will make things worse anyway because if Paramount declares these movies as reboots they’re losing all of the Bayverse fans if they declare them as prequels they lose the interest of the G1 fans and now they’re making it worse by teasing a G.I. Joe crossover and when that fails the G.I. Joe fans will refuse to leave the Transformers fanbase and start claiming that their movies are connected to the G.I. Joe movies at this point they might as well just pull the plug on all their future movies and never make another film for another 10 years
@TF Miniseries do u live in a cave??? This movie is a complete reboot, just look at characters like wheeljack and mirage they are completely different from the bay films. In the last knight it's stated that the auto bots have been around since World War 1 and in bumblebee it shows they only arrived recently on earth. Loved the Bayverse, still do, but it's time to let it go. I mean more people need to realize the Bayverse movies are still there, you can still rewatch them. Michael Bays maybe got a lot of bad reputation for putting too much explosions and actions over the years, but keep in mind that the CGI effects of the Cybertronians transformed into any form of vehicles looked impressive for 2007 standards.

It’s actually a really good thing that the new movies added a little touch of Bayverse design to them because that way ALL Transformers fans can feel good about it, especially the Bayverse fans.
The Bayverse will forever be a part of my childhood but after TLK I think it's time to move on to a new direction that isn't a complete mess. I know there will be hardcore Bayverse fans that will scream their head off about the cliffhanger.
But some of us want a Transformers movie that is fresh and something everyone can like not just mindless high octane action, weird humor, large human screen time and very little character development from the TF.
Some of us would like stories that mean something, characters that we care about besides their looks.

I believe the reason why AOE and TLK were bad was because MB was tired if making the films but Hasbro wanted more and MB wanted to make it clear in a subtly way.
I hope this movie will be good for new and old fans to enjoy.

To be honest I never really understood why there was ever any doubt all this time, haha. The changes in Bumblebee made it pretty clear that we were starting from a clean slate. 😅 The Bay movies, with all their flaws, (In the sequels especially) were loads of fun and they'll always hold a special place in my inner child's heart, but it is definitely time for a fresh start. Can't wait to watch this!

I grew up with Bayformers too. I graduated high school a year before Age of Extinction came out and I graduated a decade ago.
Completely agree. Like you said, the Bayverse is always gonna be available to watch. It's not going anywhere. For me personally, the Og trilogy is where it should have ended. And this reboot does give me hope because now Jazz can possibly make a comeback and not die in his first film appearance! And there are fewer limitations. Megatron really should have been in Bumblebee, but because he was frozen in the Arctic, he couldn't make an appearance. I'll always love the Bayverse, as it's what I grew up with, but I'm very open-minded and very optimistic for this new generation of transformers. I just hope we actually get to see the transformers, unlike The Last Knight.

Literally watched Bumblebee with my mom yesterday in preparation for ROTB and we were both honestly blown away by how *fantastic* it actually was. We both agreed Bumblebee is miles ahead of any of the Bay films. We are both genuinely excited for this new direction

It doesn't focus on the cybertronians much either, just Bee and Charlie for majority of it. And most of that is filler. Fights aren't better or worse nor is the acting better or worse.

I wish there would be a transformers movie focused on resource acquisition. There should be like five transformers in each faction with a focus on them as actual characters, like in transformers animated.

Steve Caple did say "reboot" in this video but what people are forgetting is that at the press conference for ROTB all the executives and Lorenzo dB have also REPEATEDLY said ROTB is a prequel. Steve Caple himself has also denied it being a reboot in other interviews.

The Bayverse introduced me to Transformers and at first, I defended it like all the ppl down in the comments under any TF videos.
But I quickly picked up the animated shows and the comics and realized just how...bad the Bayverse movies were.
The only thing they got right is the CGI and the action sequence, they are very good. But I want more characterization of the Autobots/Decepticons and not solely the humans.

That’s a poor choice of words. Bumblebees producers and paramount themselves made it so confusing and hard to know if it was actually a prequel or reboot. It had so many elements that would lead viewers to think it’s a prequel to 2007.

The movie is a reboot through and through and is a perfect breakout point from the flawed Bayformers series. Though I do like the first film (and have a soft spot for the fourth film), things need to change for the franchise and take the failures of the last few films and improve on them. Lorenzo Di Bonaventura's insistence of keeping them in the world where The Last Knight exists just really makes me sick due to his arrogance.

As someone who grew up with the Bayverse, I was pretty mixed when a couple years back they said that Bumblebee was a reboot, but I kinda pretended like it wasn’t for a while 😅
After this movie, while I very much enjoyed it more than I was expecting, I’m still kinda overall mixed on the direction. Like for one, I’m happy that we’re getting more live action TF movies, two I’m happy that overall they’re being liked, and 3 Peter Cullen is still the goat.
But the designs in the Bayverse are way more interesting and better in my opinion and that goes for the transformations themselves and even the sound design. The action in ROTB was amazing so thankfully no complaints there, but as someone who didn’t exist in the 80s or 90s I got no nostalgia for those times and I feel that both of those decades (especially 80s) has been done to death in the media, and just an fyi, I have seen a good amount of the original G1 cartoon so it’s not like I’m uncultured or anything 😉
I don’t really know where I’m going with this but all I can say is I’m happy that TF is still here, but I’m always gonna be a sucker for the Bayverse no matter what anyone says about it!

He said it's a reboot in terms of a new *direction* and it's a refresher, meaning they're doing something new. Paramount said the same thing. Noone said they're rebooting it in terms of starting over the franchise with a completely clean slate, you guys just gotta watch the movies without trying to ruin something for the other half of the fanbase, I like both bayverse and Travisverse, it's logically better to just unite the two while going in a new direction which Paramount seems like they're doing and have already stated. Some of yall might not like it but eventually you gotta look at what's going on. If it's a reboot, Paramount and hasbro would loose so much money cuz they'd lose half the fanbase. I liked the Bayverse films which are for me my first introduction to Transformers as well extremely underrated ( that includes 4 & 5 which i like) Bumblebee is a great drama movie and it felt like a transformers movie but more so a drama film

For my own entertainment yes I got bored as well from watching Age Of Extinction and The Last Knight. Age Of Extinction was just a lot of emotions I had toward the story. Ratchet’s death was just a heart breaking moment I felt in my hands. Made me feel berserk. Like no we had a great medical officer. I had no bother seeing other autobots dead but Ratchet was just a big no no for me. Also I have to say this Michael Bay did a good job lightning a spot for Crosshairs, Drift and Hound from the G1 Toys. I just love the way Crosshairs looks in AOE because he appears to be his own character. Those Transformers autobots didn’t get a chance to be popular back in the G1. Even The Last Knight got me bored out for the Michael Bay movies. Seriously The Michael Bay Transformers has grown old by pass decades. Let’s just appreciate Transformers change it’s skin to new era.
The only complaint I have is the Wheeljack change. I wouldn't call myself a Wheeljack fan, but I like consistency. And the fact he goes from very G1 accurate in Bumblebee to what he looks (and sounds like) in the trailers is very odd to me. I don't understand the reason fo the change.
The Bayverse saved transformers. It was struggling badly at the time. It revived the brand. He got Cullen back as Optimus, the CGI was amazing and of course the music. Its time for a goodbye. We should be grateful that Transformers still exists. It is a reboot and I wouldnt be to surprised if they somewhat remake Transformers 07. I really feel like thats their game plan. Like Cyberverse, Earthspark, or any new transformers content, I'm always open to new ideas while staying true to what we've learned from the past. But to be in denial of a series ending or just not performing well is where people get closer to feeling like Megatron.
The Bayverse to me was, from a writing perspective, not that good. But whenever I go back, I see the quality in their filmmaking. Specifically in the first three films. It's OK to start something new and different from all this. Take what you learned and make it better

I grew up with the G1 cartoon and I just enjoy big robots fighting on screen. Saw rise of the beasts last night and was great.
It’s a reboot and a good one. Transformers was epic when it first came out but lost the audience by throwing out complicated plots, over the top graphic violence and ridiculous explosive settings. Bumblebee was simple, wholesome family fun, and was continued by Rise of the Beasts. I loved it, my son loved it and my two daughters loved it. Nicely done.
I had to laugh at the idea that the Bayverse had a drop off in quality, due to the implication that they were quality to begin with. But, having said that, I do want to pull my brain out through my nose faster with the later movies than the earlier ones, so I guess I understand your general point...

I don't know how much creative control producers have for a movie, especially a cinematic universe, but if producers have equal if not more creative power over the director the question will still linger in the air if not make the continuity of the reboot and Bayverse utterly confusing. I don't know what Hasbro and Paramount position in this is but I hope they consider BB and ROTB in a separate continuity from the Bayverse for everyone sanity.

You can have a random bystander on a street and ask which design is better and majority of them will choose the bay movie design.
People who pick the original design is most likely due to nostalgia. It’s not really an argument.
It’s very important if you want more people watching transformers.

The only thing i can think of is the dinobots scanned the metallic dinosaurs in age of extinction. Idk the 4th and 5th movie brought the trop of multiple villans that are not really the main. Age of extinction is cemetery wind, lockdown, galvatron, and the creators. Last knight is quintessa, unicron, nemissis, and megatron
one thing that bayverse nailed for sure is sound design CGI and ofcourse the soundtrack made by legend himself steve jablonsky
I am a bay verse fan ever since I was 5 I grew up watching it but honestly I do agree it had to come to an end

Wait, the last knight had corporate meddling, that's the first time I've heard of this.
If it's a reboot it was dumb of them to use the biggest, most ominous and powerful villain, Unicron, to showcase and defeat. There will be no hype and buildup for that character to possibly return in the future.
To make the continuity work they should have defeated Unicron by absorbing and trapping him in the Earth's Core along with Scourge and the Terrorcons. Then the Autobots could have finally left Earth, with technological help from the Maximals to search for the Allspark. Bumblebee stays behind to watch over Earth and protect it. The Autobots meet up with others and split up to search galaxies for the Allspark. Have a post credit scene showing the Autobot Team (Optimus, Ratchet, Ironhide, Jazz) they have assumed more efficient intergalactic travel proto-forms due to not needing earth vehicle forms anymore for disguise. They are in a far distant galaxy when they find out that Megatron and the Allspark were already on Earth the whole time. Enter TF 2007.
That's stupid as hell. How would they trap the essence of Unicron? Why wouldn't there be any mention of all of these adventures? What about WW2 Bumblebee and Optimus in TLK saying that Unicron was a myth? Wouldn't defeating Unicron in 1 film by just trapping him make him seem even weaker? And they still haven't defeated Unicron, they have simply stopped him from going to other universes
@@LiterallyEveryone217 Stupid as hell gtfo. It's a sci-fi movie. How the hell is any of this comprehensible? They'll figure out a way to explain it. Even in the original transformers show there is mass-shifting so they could essentially trap or condense Unicron into what is essentially a black hole and trap him in the core of the earth only for him to slowly escape because he is too powerful and that is why in TLK he is finally emerging out of the Earth's crust. Maybe Unicron's full power was never complete because he needed the Allspark or Matrix of Leadership or something. You've obviously never seen Transformers Prime where they discover the Earth is actually Unicron the whole time where masses of planet drew to Unicron due to his mass and gravity and essentially created the earth. And that bumblebee WW2 story was bullsh't that they made up to potentially have a spinoff about it that never came to fruition. It should never have been canon or even put in the film. Quit trying to debunk theory expansions and try to open your mind a little.
It's a good movie. Not as good as Bumblebee. But a decent movie. I really loved Prime and Primal's interaction. Honestly, just give me a whole movie of those two together and it'd be the best Transformers movie ever!

I'm a fan of Bayverse movies 1 2 and 3 at heart, but I do agree that the series needs or needed a fresh start. Some other people would also like movies about the TFA universe and that level of insanity, and I would love to see my big clumsy Lugnut and schizophrenic Blitzwing. Heck, the possible movies could also expand on that cancelled season and even more. We could see TFA Megatron as a triple changer! Oh well.
Just watched the movie yesterday...aaand yeah, I think im happy with this reboot, so far i like where this universe is going so far... Also the movie is pretty good, a solid 8.5/10

The only reason there's even any debate over whether it's a prequel or reboot despite how SCREAMINGLY OBVIOUS it is that it's a reboot is because the people working on the film are playing both sides to get as wide an audience as possible
The problem is that Lorenzo's the boss. Whether we like it or not, he's the one commissioning Scripts and greenlighting movies.
Fact that he's crazy and out-of-touch is irrelevant. I don't know if you realized this, but we just witnessed the origin of the stupid ass accelerator suit from the first g.i. Joe movie. Lorenzo wants it all to be the same continuity, and he gives 0 shits if that continuity makes any sense.
If this is all a prequel, to the Bayverse, I see it losing some more people. Most audiences don't trust these movies after The Last Knight and it is hard to blame them. The Bayverse if it is not dead already is on life support.
2007 transformers showed optimus arriving to earth, 2018 bumblebee also showed optimus arrive but at a different time, so its a reboot, its that simple.
This is really disappointing. Dont get me wrong i think rebooting the franchise was the right call, but they should've gave the original universe a proper send off.
First of all it’s not a reboot and second rebooting this franchise will make things worse anyway because if Paramount declares these movies as reboots they’re losing all of the Bayverse fans if they declare them as prequels they lose the interest of the G1 fans and now they’re making it worse by teasing a G.I. Joe crossover and when that fails the G.I. Joe fans will refuse to leave the Transformers fanbase and start claiming that their movies are connected to the G.I. Joe movies at this point they might as well just pull the plug on all their future movies and never make another film for another 10 years
@TF Miniseries do u live in a cave??? This movie is a complete reboot, just look at characters like wheeljack and mirage they are completely different from the bay films. In the last knight it's stated that the auto bots have been around since World War 1 and in bumblebee it shows they only arrived recently on earth. So it clearly is a reboot, for a lad that calls himself tf miniseries, u don't no a lot about tf😂😂😂😂

Loved the Bayverse, still do, but it's time to let it go. I mean more people need to realize the Bayverse movies are still there, you can still rewatch them. But I'm really excited to see where this reboot goes.
