PLEASE NOTE: It has come to my attention that I read the tag, ad, and more wrong on the pillow. While the case is organic cotton, the fill is synthetic. I apologize as I was not trying to lead any one astray. Just another lesson in reading the WHOLE listing and not part. What I can say is that it is still a very comfortable pillow and while I am disappointed to to learn it is not entirely natural, I am still happy with it ruclips.net/user/shorts5osQfKSzyis
Oh bummer! It happens though, thanks for the heads up! I've bought organic pillows from a variety of places, so you got me simmering about some I have but not sure I could figure out how to go look as I've had some for couple years or longer. We do the best we can do, all I can say.😁 For years now I've bought organic cotton sheets and try to on blankets as well though quilts are much harder to find organic so I settle on just 100% cotton. I'm excited though to check out the linen sheets you got as I'm in the market for another set of sheets for my bed. I too notice the heat sometimes and its so confusing some I know the material is supposed to breathe better. I used to think it was my mattress material but I specifically have purchased organic materials in my mattresses and they all proclaimed breathe better and not hold heat??? Great video bringing about awareness....as usual!❤
I noticed that, but I'm still considering it due to being able to adjust it, that's a huge plus for me.
So easy to do! But sometimes you just need to say "oh well" because trying to find a decent pillow isn't easy! I am VERY happy with that pillow and so is my family.
God bless!!
When you pulled out the pillow's stuffing, I thought, "That doesn't look like natural cotton." A long time ago, I had cotton-filled pillows and they became lumpy. They took a very long time to dry, and they were too heavy for me.
I really didn't believe that it was cotton when you said nearly dry in the spin...that very much sounded like not cotton, and cotton drying fast? Hardly! Thanks for the correction.
I have 2 Siberian Huskies, I just use them as a pillow 😅 it's a win- win. They are soft and cuddly & they feel loved 🐕
Highly recommend Elfenbein Bedding. Family owned and run business, really excellent quality Hungarian down pillows and comforters, handmade by a husband-and-wife-and-son team in their workshop, and they can custom make for any bedding size. I don’t work for them, in case this sounds like an advertisement, just really pleased with my pillow and comforter, and love supporting small-scale family-owned businesses. I bought mine 2 years ago, and they're still just as good today as the day I got them.
I hated being poked by awful feathers too Heidi, and the difference with down is night and day. Amazing temperature regulation. Funny that with all our human technology and know-how, God's own creations are still miles better.
You nailed it with the human technology vs God's own creations!!
Alpaca bedding is amazing. I gave the contents of my old feather pillows to the birds at nesting time 😅
Agreed, I have an alpaca blanket and it's amazing! But, I'm still looking for a pillow.
@@AnnettMcDavid I got mine from Penrose products in the UK. They do duvets too.
I was fortunate enough to thrift a king linen sheet set that honestly I don’t believe was ever used. I won’t use another from now on. They are AMAZING! I believe they are the best fiber energetically to use against our bodies. Synthetic fibers build up such static charges and I feel affect us negatively, while linen is very neutral and has such a calming effect on the human body. Plus the more I use and wash them the better they feel❤️🇺🇸🙏🏼
I've also read that linen helps to block radiation - not sure if that's true, but it made sense to me at the time!
I have read that linen vibrations are higher than any natural Fabrics. I am searching linen clothes too but didn't find yet where to purchase them.
@@lamia2845 Finding cotton clothing is relatively easy but linen? Jeez Louise, it's hard! I'm teaching myself to sew so I can hopefully make our own, provided I can find fabric...
Maybe it is THE solution. ❤ Finding materials that are genuinely organic it even harder. But I am sure, it is possible to find it.
And for linen bedding, Linen Stars is great. Latvian lady named Andra who makes them, and it's all 100% European. It was kind of exciting getting mail sent from Latvia, and the linen bedding I bought is excellent. Had it about four years now, and it's still going strong.
I will check out Linen Stars. Thank you!
Will look that up as well, been looking for linen sheets. Most are way out of my price range 😢
Linen is higher vibrational than cotton.
Swans Island is a textile company in Maine that uses French Linen that is woven in Europe and the sheets are then made in USA.
Once you go linen you want go back and they get softer and softer over time and last for a good long time. There is some interesting videos on the health benefits of linen. It’s amazing know wonder it’s in the Bible.
They didn't exactly have polyester back then lol but yes it's good stuff
Do a study on youtube about the health benefits of linen. It's amazing! It has a frequency of 1000 only equal to wool. It is suggested to not wear them together because they cancel each other out. The body's natural frequency when healthy is 100. Wearing synthetics actually drain the body's frequency thus make it more vulnerable to sickness & disease.
I grew up sleeping on down pillows. These were pillows that were made from a feather mattress that belonged to my grandmother. My mother took them to a laundry mat that took all the feathers out and washed them and dried them in a big something that warm air blew in the container and dried and fluffed them up. Then they made new pillows from pillow ticking and put the feathers back in. I think several pillows were made out of that mattress. Then I grew up, married, moved to my own home and took my two feather pillows with me. My husband brought his two old hand made feather pillows from his mommas house. I would periodically put them in the drier on cool air and fluff them up. Helps with the dust too. Eventually, I washed them by removing the feathers and putting them in thin pillow cases. Then washed them in gentle cycle in the washer and then dried them on cool setting in my drier. Then I went and bought more pillow ticking and made new pillow covers. When the feather were dry, I put them in the pillow case. All dealings with the feather were outside. lol of course feathers being natural, they did finally come apart and became nothing but a pillow full of lint. The original feathers of that mattress came from the birds my grandmother had on the farm. I believe they were duck down or goose down. I don’t think chicken down works as well. I have no experience with commercially made down pillows.
We use MyPillow pillow, sheets, towels. Love these.
And made in the US
@@GMFolkartist yes. That's a definite plus.
I love My Pillow products and sheets.
@@tracim193 their so comfy.
Woolshire wool pillows are the ones I want to get my family, Lord willing!
I use a Bamboo pillow. Will never buy another kind.
Me too, love mine😊
When I saw “bedding” my mind went to straw, shavings, etc..for animals lol..thanks for info! I like flannel for winter, cotton or linen is good..still in our prayers!
Thought of animal bedding, as well😂
I’m right there with you, but when I saw the picture of the fabric, I thought it was going to be Cody’s bedding.
I have had linen myself for years: keeps me comfortable year round. The breathability is excellent!
I had cotton flannel for my dear old Dad. He adored their soft fuzzy warmth.
@@brandyjean7015 my daughter and grandson use cotton flannel also. They love it!
Is it just me or do flannel sheets take forever in the dryer? Back when we used dryers, I only washed our flannel sheets twice before saying screw this and donating them because they just took too dang long to dry and I didn't have enough room to dry them (couldn't hang outdoors). Is that how they are or is that user error?
Made our linen bedspread & pillow cases. Loving linen more & more and it lasts forever ! Will be making linen sheets soon , and linen is perfect all year round. We live in a climate that is below freezing most of the winter and super hot in the summer months, yet the linen keeps us warm AND cool. ~We love our 'My Pillow' pillows and they are washable. We take our pillows on all trips , camping included.
Yes
Where do you get your linen fabric, and what weight/weave of fabric would you use for sheets?
We use organic sheep's wool. I wouldn't use anything else. Have used for 15 years now. Pillows and mattress toppers. Repels dust mites, keep you cool in summer, warm in winter.
Praying all is well with your family
After a car accident that damaged my heart and spine, I struggled to find a pillow. I have a required CPAP to assist my heart at night. I bought 7 pillows trying to find something that worked. I found a tiny couch pillow that is 13x13x3.5, cotton stuffed and fairly rigid. FYI sharing because I was unaware that heart injuries are common in car accidents for older adults when the heart hits the rib cage.
Have you tried quantum healing? If not, you might want to give it a try!
I have been lead to leave you this comment. MANY BLISSINGS! 💛 🤗 🙏 😇 🪷 💛
PS "Natural Organic Foam" can be made out of Soy. I was looking into it. When i saw that i went hunting for Other foam.
I have feather pillows. They poke out the fabric. I found it odd, since i bought expensive Canadian Huttertite Pillows. But they had a flawed batch of Ducking Fabric. I did contact them. They did not offer any options to help.
But i have a lot of troubles, not getting lumps during the night, which put my shoulder or neck out.
But i still find them better than chip foam, or batting filled.
I just bought Organic Cotton.
I hunted Linen. But i found the price way too high for me!
Linen? Has a Special Charge to that fibre. It has the ability to Discharge and Balance the Frequency and Static Charge of the human using it.
Only the outside of these pillows are organic cotton, the filler is a poly.😊❤
Based on my recent research the best linen is made in Belgium by artisans who have passed the trade down. There is a special emblem that “proves” their authenticity. I haven’t bought them because I’m also researching linen. Thank you for all the great comments with ideas!
We use linen sheets. Love them
Love the buckwheat hull pillow. Dust mites do not survive on them, so it's a win for when you have allergies to them. No more watery eyes, excess yawning, stuffy nose when going to bed... those are allergy symptoms! We all have mites that live on our skin, and it's nice knowing that they cannot live within my bedding and leave their trails behind
.. or in my 100% natural latex mattress. Thanks for the video Heidi!
That's good to know about the dust mites.
Bucky also makes a great traveler buddy & has extra to fill as you like. Not really noisy.
Funny this came up, just watched a video talking about the high energetic properties of linen(flax) and wool. Both extremely high but spin opposite so can cancel out each other. I do believe it mentioned in the Bible about not mixing, but I need to research that. I need to do dig more on this. Was just thinking about ordering some to try, so this is timely. Thank you.
I had heard you mention the pillows in a This-n-That previously. I bought a set for my husband and myself. We both agree they are the best pillows EVER!! Amazing what you can learn while cleaning a bathroom while listening to Heidi! Now onto linen sheets! 😊 God bless you. Still praying for your family.
I love my linen sheets!
YES! I absolutely LOVE those pillows! And I'm so glad you washed them and did an update. I haven't done that yet....yes, I was waiting for you to do it. 😉😜My Pat also kept more stuffing in his as well as my soon to be adult son. (Ugh...I still can't believe that!) I originally was going to order extra pillows as backups, but there is no need to since I can make more!
Now the sheets!! THANK YOU for doing the research for me. I ordered immediately after you said "hot flash". I paused your video and ordered! 🤣Although I don't get hot flashes like I used to, I still get them once in awhile.
I've been keeping you and yours in my prayers for God's comfort and healing. Also I've been thinking of you while I pluck my lilacs. What a calming effect that has as you sit there and pluck off those aromatic flowers. i hope your bush produced more this year and your able to do the same. As you heal from your heartbreak, plucking lilac flowers would be very beneficial!
God Bless and take all the time you need! ❤
Can you tell me what the loss was ? How can I read about this. Thank you.
@@maryhoward1338 If you go to here home page here on RUclips and click on Community, she puts messages there. I tried to add the link but YT doesn't like that apparently.
I have used a buckwheat hull pillow for the last 35 years - geez I feel old! I even have to take it with me when I travel. It IS firm, but not hard, and it conforms to your head and neck. But if you need a soft pillow, you probably won't enjoy it. I periodically switch out the hulls as they smooth out over the years and it reduces the size of the pillow. But I am 4'10", which is pretty dang short and "normal" pillows are just too big for the crook of my neck.
I am only 5' myself, which is likely why I had to remove more than half of the stuffing from mine
Frankenmuth Wiolen Mills makes wool bedding here in us. They have been in business for over 100 years. New Zealand and Australia have done research on benefits of sleeping on wool with interesting finds. Wool is also warm and cooling as well as antiviral, antibacterial and antifungal. It could be another good source
I splurged and bought some Possum socks when I was there and I so love them! So much better than wool!
I have been thinking about getting linen sheets. I hear so many say how they keep you cool. I sleep hot and tend to wake up with massive headaches, so that would be lovely if they would help keep me cooler.
I thought i would try the Quince brand because that is the ones Doug and Stacy talk about. Just an fyi about the Quince brand...it says they are made in China or India. They cost $20 to $30 more than the brand you got.
I'll order the set you got and see how i like them.
Thank you Heidi for doing this video/review.
Magic linen is made in the USA. They are expensive but well worth the price and a great company customer service. The company name is Magic Linen.
I purchased a wool pillow years ago. It's "medium" fill, although it's pretty flat.
I absolutely love it.
Thank you for this video. We normally do cleaning of the whole home for Sabbath after work on Friday. This includes preparing food also since we are not allowed to work on Sabbath. 💐
I'm 7th day Sabbath keeper too.
I love my feather (down) pillows and have slept on them all my life. I do wash mine and I dry them in the dryer with no issues. I buy Egyptian cotton sheets, they last a long time. I have 4 sets- 2 for each bedroom.
When buckwheat pillows came out years ago, I stopped by a booth in the mall to give one a squeeze. I didn’t like the feel of it, and I tried several.
I’m a belly sleeper so like you, I like a pillow that I can mold to support my head and neck. I also constantly turn my pillow because I look for cooler spots. I actually have 4 feather pillows on each bed. Two for main sleeping and two for the pillow shams.
I love the idea of putting on 2 pillow cases, I had never thought of that.
Thanks! Shalom!
hey sista a few years ago i invested in an organic bamboo superking sized duvet (it hangs all around the sides of my kingsize bed and organic bamboo pillows THEY ARE WONDERFUL all season warmth none of this changing it out anti dust mite so no need to wash it its too big for that and it cost less than £300
Thank you , Heidi . Love the colour too. What have you for a mattress?
Hey Rain Country, I was so impressed with your comments on the pillow that I checked them out. In the description the shell which is the pillow casing is all one hundred percent organic cotton but the packing is Poly Cluster Fiber filling. Go back and read the entire first paragraph right under ABOUT THIS ITEM. The second line tells the filling is Poly Cluster Fiber fill. I wanted to be kind and let you take a second look at the description and make sure for yourself this is what I am taking as Poly Fiber.
It seems that it is only the pillow cover that is organic cotton, the filling is listed as pearl fiber (premium polyester)
Yeah...I looked and saw that, too. What a bummer :-/
Yes, I saw that too, but still got them. Sometimes it's almost impossible to find something, but these were close enough for me. And I've never slept on a better pillow than this one.
I've been using a travel size buckwheat-filled pillow for at least 15 years. I like how I can mold it to support my neck and make it flatter under my head. I haven't noticed any noise, except perhaps a tiny bit when I put fresh filling in once a ear. The inner and outer case are man-made material with zippers on each to make it easy to wash and refill. I've never washed the buckwheat.
Love my linen sheets. I took a long time to pull the trigger on them, too. I got a feather or down pillow, but they're wrapped in cotton. From ikea, love them.
I love, love, love my buckwheat hull pillows. I bought a huge bag and filled some zipper pillow cases. I use small ones because they are heavy to lift but so comfortable on my troublesome neck
Bamboo pillows are very nice. Soft, they hold their shape, they're comfortable, and easy to wash and dry. I bought one a year ago, quite dear I thought, about £60. But it's worth it. The only down side is their size is bigger than standard pillows so standard pillow slips don't fit. You have to buy pillow slips from the firm that sells the bamboo pillows. They're dear too. About £50. Bamboo is healthy, organic, anti bacterial. So we'll worth having.
Linen sheets will last a life time. I'm weird... I love white sheets. Mine came from 100% USA...The company is Rough Linen. Also I love My Pillow... I also took out a little if the fill, and hand stitched it back.
I recently purchased a linen sheet set from Quince. My first linen sheets. I do like them very much, but I don't have an 18" deep mattress, so the "fitted" sheet doesn't fit very well. It's very sloppy. I miss the sheets of my childhood where the fitted sheet was very taught. Sometimes made it hard to make the bed but so nice to slip into a bed with no wrinkles.
I've been hoping to find a new pillow as nothing has supported my head just like you mentioned. Thx for the info.
I have 3 feather pillows I’ve had for 40 years so they must be down. Still very soft and fluffy. I hog them to myself and everyone else has the cheaper pillows. I do also have a cooling pillow because I went through menopause, was miserable, and my daughter bought it for me. I love that one too.
I have bamboo sheets that I love. Also have cotton. My pillow is custom filled with chunks of natural latex. I can shape it perfectly.
Such a blessing to see this video today. Thank you so much ❤
It really is!!
She's always prepared with her video's! And so thankful that she is as I wouldn't know what to watch while drinking my morning coffee!
So far I use 100% cotton sheets and have one set of bamboo which is nice in the summer. I sleep flat, no pillow at all. I still have , oh what were they called ???? some kind of hulls and my husband loves it!
I remember: Sobakawa - buckwheat pillow - after 25 years still great!!!
You might be able to compost the feathers in an old pillow that you are going to dispose of
Garden compost too
Your hair looks perfect👍🙏
I love silk sheets. They don't dry out my low-porosity hair (my cuticle is so tight it rejects water and the wrong conditioners/styling products) or pull out my hair. They are supposed to be skin friendly too. I had buckwheat pillows when I was little and always heard crunching leaves. I love kapok. I prefer a flat pillow. Rough Linen used to be linked by a toxin free list I follow. On Etsy you can see where it ships from and maybe ask the seller where they are made.
Thank you Heidi! 🙂
Continued love and prayers! 🤗
Blessings too!💜
Expensive, but my preference for sheets is silk. Supposed to help with beauty/aging of skin also.
Too if it flattens get in outside in sunshine ... sunroom might work 🤔 it fluffs back out.
I had an organic, cotton 6 inch mattress made.❤❤❤
They aren't actual buckwheat pillows they are the hulls or chaff. They aren't soft but they will hold your head firmly. The are light and smell like a wheat field, which is pleasant. The Chinese use them. They also use straw mattresses.
Silk & Snow Canada. For linen sheets 😃
Thank you! Continued prayers for comfort and peace.
My favorite sheets are silk. They are great for menopause or a hot, humid climate.
Frustrating about the sheets and China, but to be fair, they do put that right in their description, so they are transparent. Who knows about honest, but at least transparent.

Thank you, Heidi! Linen is the best for sleep! Ordering a set today 😊
I paid an exorbitant amount of money for two queen-size organic cotton pillows filled with organic shredded latex. They were very heavy. I bought them to place between my knees as I slept on my side, and the result was varicose veins on my inner knees.
The sheets seem amazing! I have a friend who has bamboo sheets. They are so soft but heavy wet and dry.
Golden! Thank you, I really appreciate you sharing your experience with the pillows ans sheets.😊
Yes, we have been using linen sheets for decades now.................. from the Ozarks drinking fresh spring water 💦
Thanks Heidi 😊 ❤❤

Those are nice. The extra elastic is a nice touch.
Great content ty.
I got the same exact linen sheet set. I love them, but after about a year my husband dug a whole in the bottom with his foot.
Great video as always… Still praying for you and your family 💖🙏
Oh, Heidi, how incredibly timely!! Thank you for talking about this!! We've always just used whatever we could find/afford but now that we are in a place in life (in every sense!) that it's more feasible to be more particular about what we do, we are looking into new pillows, bedding (sheets, blankets, quilts), and mattresses. We have a set of microfiber sheets that we do not like for various reasons so we hardly use them but I keep them as a backup. We also have a set of cotton sheets but they are OLD (we got them secondhand for free when we were homeless so who knows exactly how old they are) and every time I hang them (we don't have a dryer) I can't help but notice how thin they are getting. I want to replace them ASAP but I don't want to buy just any old sheets. I want to invest in GOOD, natural ones. Pillows, blankets/quilts, and mattresses, too, of course. Same goes for our childrens' sleep stuff. One thing at a time, though. We've saved up a sizeable chunk towards this investment but we can't afford to do it all at once. I doubt anyone else here can, either.
My husband's best friend has a buckwheat pillow. His is HARD and it's HEAVY. You fill to your liking, is my understanding, so I guess he just likes sleeping on a cinder block LOL
And yes, incredibly disappointing and discouraging how much stuff isn't made here.
Definitely going to come back here in a few hours to scope out the suggestions fellow viewers have 😊 Thanks again, Heidi!
Also, one of the reasons why we never tried the better, more expensive options (especially for pillows and mattresses) before is that you won't know how much you like or dislike it until you try it. It's still a hurdle to get over, but, I mean, you really *won't* know until you try, right?
When my son was young it was impossible to find children's pj's that didn't have flame retardant - so we finally just opted for t-shirts and such. As for your cotton sheets - I love buying them from the thrift shops, but i totally get how they can get pretty thin after awhile. God bless!!
@@Kay-du4ll Ugh, the stupid flame retardant stuff! Yes! As usual, "for safety." 🙄😡
@@Kay-du4ll Oh, and we have a king-sized bed (one of the *very few* luxuries we have). Finding GOOD used sheets where we live that are a color we like and that will fit is a nightmare. I keep my eyes peeled but they always have worn out elastic, are stained, have only a flat or a fitted sheet (rarely do I find sets), are ugly, etc. Beggars can't be choosers but if I'm going to spend hard-earned money on something, I'd better love it.
I got some Malouf pillows recently active dough very soft and scented with essential oils, peppermint Clary Sage summer really soft and some a bit firmer. Love them.❤
good info
I have found that the majority of things sold on Amazon that I look at are made in China. Very disappointing.
Ugh. Yes. And it's everywhere, not just on A. So frustrating.
Oh, good. been waiting for a review on the pillows

@@TheresaDarylsWife You're gonna love them. I have never had a better pillow.
We don’t have much manufacturing in the US anymore.
Or fields of product. Solar panels & warehouses growing "food" that the Sun never touches with tons of "nutrients" that cause cancer.
I hate when I forget to remake my bed too, but I hate folding sheets even more, lol.
I'm weird and actually like folding things, including sheets. It's one of the VERY FEW things I'm grateful to my ex's mother for, as she taught me how to fold fitted sheets (in midair).
This was interesting; I have looked off and on today and cannot find one source that the sheets are not made in China or India. Recently I made a day/work skirt out of 100% linen and can tell such a difference from the cotton ones I have always worn in spring/summer here in the south, lots of heat and humidity. I have another piece to make a top. I suppose if I had the time and great inclination I could make my own sheets ")), but.... Appreciate all your videos. In Joy
Rough Linen co. 100% American. Expensive but they will last a life time.
I love buck wheat pillow for under my neck.
I always had a feather pillow growing up by I had asthma and allergies I was allergic to it so I bought cotton like that and sewed my own pillows many years ago and I have never had to buy any for myself since I keep them in a allergy type case and then put my pillowcase over the top of that.
OH MY GOSH! I HAVE FELT LIKE THAT TOO 12:04!!! SAME WITH THE PILLOWS! 🥵
It is soooo hard to find anything that doesn’t have something to do with China. Maranatha ❤
I just use the cheapest ones from kohls and change out every few years , because I have to have a very thin one.
I have buckwheat hull pillows but never use them. They are crunchy and I never found them comfortable. They were of the original ones made and didn't come with the zipper. They can't be washed according to the manufacturer but the seam can be cut and the hulls removed to a storage bin so the shell can be washed. It was pure misery getting the hulls back in place. There isn't any way I'd recommend them.
I hope your sheets last longer than mine. I paid 130 for just the fitted sheet and they started falling apart within 6 months.
I've heard that about Brooklinen. A lot of people rave about them but others say they don't last.
We LOVE our linen sheets! But, they're made in China. Maybe our next set won't be. :)
I got natural rubber pillows and matress. I love the matress a lot and the only thing I didnt like about the pillow, is it was too big for me. Great for alergies and poison free

I found some sheets that are 55% cotton & 45% linen. Is it ok to mix the cotton & linen together like that, or would you recommend 100% cotton or 100% linen only?
Curious about mattress. I have heard nothing but good on birch living. However, doesn't seem to be anywhere around me that you can even see/try in person. They are spendy just like our temperpidic (love) but need new after 16 t years. Looking for more natural bedding. I think I may try linen sheets. I really like more natural. Have bamboo now and love, however it was not 100% but rather a blend. I will admit I think I am a sheet snob, but I enjoy a great night sleep and enjoy😊
