  • Here's how i fixed my non-folding FN2/MK8 Honda civic mirror. Loads of videos on youtube about it, but i had to fix it so thought why not film it. Tried to make it as short as possible. No special tools needed. Probably just your 10mm for the battery and a little screwdriver to help with the cable clips.
    So easy, even i can do it.

    Top man. Ordered the parts from ebay, replaced as per your instructions. Wing mirrors now folding for the first time in years! 🙌 Many thanks

    Seen a few videos on changing the resistor and digging out all the sealant stuff from the unit which looks like a lot of work the SOD unit is about £19 new so not that much and maybe less from a scrap yard nice clear simple video btw

      Thanks for watching and leaving a comment, I really appreciate it.
      Honestly mate, I couldn’t be bothered to dig it out. Seem like a bodge to save £20.
      I agree I think you’re better off just buying the part… whether you get Honda oem or not probably doesn’t matter too much.
      Hope it helped and take it easy mate 😃

    There's a cheaper soution.
    Instead of replacing the old part you can just replace the resistor for a few cents.
    There's a ton of videos explaining this.

    • @yardspeed13
      @yardspeed13  Год назад +3

      You’re right, and I knew they can be fixed cheaper with a resistor and soldering gun, But cost wasn’t a problem here… and this is much easier/quicker.
      Especially if you don’t have a soldering iron. Or know how to use one.
      If you’re on a tight budget then what you have suggested is the way to go for sure.
      Thanks for commenting 😃
