Disagree with you. This was not a 'holiday/basic camera'. I bought an AF-10 back in about 1991. It cost around £100/£120 brand new. That, in today's prices would be around £300 ish. That is not basic money. Basic cameras back in the early '90's were things like Halinas. I bought the AF-10 becuase I wanted a decent, not outrageously expensive camera from a manufacturer with a reputation for quality , a camera that was of attractive and practical design, and pocketable. And that was capable of decent results without the person behiind the lens having to be super 'into' photography. Must say, From the moment they went on sale, right through to now, I viewed the Olympus Mju as an aberation, simply and straightforwardly ugly, notwithstanding it's photographic merits. I wouldn't have one in the house. I used my Af-10 for almost 13 years, looking recently through piles of my old photos, I was, and am, well pleased with the results. Just a really dependable camera to use. In fact, I've just a bought another, waiting for it to arrive. I can't afford endless reams of film purchases as I used to, but would like to return to film photography. Something there about the experience, that digital doesn't give me.
