Hi, I have a Zempire Monstamat. Is there a pump that would fit that valve to deflate and maybe inflate a little? As I believe all the ones you have reviewed so far don’t have a big enough attachment? I have the mat in my swag and it would just be easier to suck air out rather than rolling it everytime
+1 on this question. I have the oztrail Fatmat (same valve I think) and sometimes it would be useful to be able to quickly get it firm for those late short overnight stops where you need a mattress fast✌
Despite there being many mats on the market with these larger valves, I'm not aware of any pumps that are compatible. We will pass this feedback onto suppliers, hopefully one of them develops something. ~ Ben
Does it pump matresses up quite firmly, or will they require a bit extra to make sure it's firm? I know you said the rating in the video just not sure how firm that is in the real world
If you like a firm may then I reckon you'd need to manually add a bit of air at the end, the Tiny Pump 2X goes to about 4kPa which is a little firmer. ~ Ben
Wow first time I've looked at you @RUclips. Products like this are an obvious reason Ben's identity belongs on Wikipedia. Your doll Ben. Love you man. You belong on Wikipedia.
Fmd that hiking mat is friggin huge rolled up, nemo is twice smaller than tjat and its extra long and hell thick...such a shame you dont sell nemo or zenbivvy gear its the dominant game changer atm These flextail pumps are so overwhelming too many to pick from for us hikers
It's a self-inflating hiking mat from STS, which is the style of mat I wanted to show this being used on. If you get an air filled mat, which Sea To Summit also make, they pack up much smaller. ~ Ben
How long does it run until it turns off automatically? Mine goes 1 minute 30 seconds and turns off. Turning it on straight away it goes 10 seconds and turns off again. Waiting for a bit it goes again like 1m10~30s. Is this normal behaviour? No one talks about the runtime per go and how long the cooldown is.
It won't work on those bigger valves unfortunately, hopefully it;s something they address in the near future as may mats are using similar valves nowadays. ~ Ben
@@SnowysOutdoors dead set morons they must have emphysema and can't blow out the mouth lol gee hate to see them in a real survival situation lol 😆😆😆😆 like yes I've done it before but no lol smoke gets sucked in then smells ya pump like crap lol so nooo lol 😆

How good’s that. Will it pump an exped Megamat ?
It will, but you'd need to manually add air at the end to make it firm. ~ Ben

Same question. Will it get a thermarest xtherm max to fill inflation? Justin Outdoors says no, but not sure if old model.

Haha, thanks for the kudos. ~ Ben
How loud is it? I’m considering this to inflate my kids sleep pads for an airplane. The portable pump the pads came with is very loud.
It's not as noisy as most 12V pumps, but I reckon most people on the airplane would know you are using it. ~ Ben
nice will be picking up one of these.
They are a neat bit of kit. ~ Ben

I had this run for the entirety of pumping the mat up in the video, but Flextail don't specify a cutout time sorry. ~ Ben
Hi. Does it fit blackwolf mega?

Wtf did you say ben stoke ya fire with it are ya joking or what lol 😂😂😂
Give it a go, plenty of campers take an electric blower to stoke their fires, this is the hikers equivalent. ~ Ben

Can you test it on an air tent? It will probably fail, but it would be fun to see it try.😀
Hehe, I reckon it would be along video. ~ Ben
Garbage. Slightest bit of humid or damp conditions and it stops working, permanently. Looks good in a youtube test, NFG in real world usage
I'd suggest going back to the place you purchased your pump, it could be a warranty issue. ~ Ben
😂😂😂
