Rough Country 4" Long Arm Lift Kit & Vertex Reservoir Shocks // PT. 2 - REAR

- Today on JD Cars we’re tackling part two of the Rough Country bolt on 4 inch long arm lift kit! In this episode, we complete the installation of the lift kit. This was definitely quite the process. All in all, the install took me just shy of a week. That being said, this was a very fun and rewarding project! If you do any sort of metal cutting work, I would highly recommend considering purchasing a plasma cutter. Yes you can complete this project with an angle grinder and reciprocating saw, but the plasma cutter saves a lot of time and labor.

I work at a massive tire company My co-worker is currently installing this on his Jeep I think it even the same color he sent me both your videos so I could watch them Looks awesome man!!
Great 2 part videos. Very impressed with the finished product. You guys took on a pretty involved project and did a great job with your step by step instructions. Can’t wait to see some big tires on that Jeep
Time for some bigger tires to fill up the wheel wells now.😉
It looks great the only thing I saw was the rear sway was up against the shocks at least it looked that way
Yea what's that about?
Looking good just needs some bigger tires now at least
Looks
Dope
20 inch with higher profile all-terrains are required! Finish the look. Current wheels are letting the look down. Cool vid though mate, love the hands-on approach. Wish I had a garage like yours to work in. Edit - just saw the end, bigger wheels and tyres are on the way, good man!
Yessir! Bigger wheels and tires are currently mounted.. the video should be up in the coming weeks!
@@JDCarsChannel fantastic, well done! I'll keep an eye out
I would stick with 18” and so fat tires big rims are getto more tire less wheel I am old school
you put the rear coil correction plates upside down they clip in to place if you flip them..
Good to know! Thanks for sharing
40" ATs will look perfect!!
I went with 37's but would love to see 40's some day!
Don’t do 40’s on stock axles 37’s is pushing it with out upgrading to chromoly axles and possibly trussing it
Great Video, Used it step by step to do my lift. What was need to reinstall your rock sliders? Did you have to modify them? Im picking up a set next week.
I'm glad you found the video helpful! How'd the install go and what rock sliders did you end up choosing?
What paint did you use ?
What's with your rear sway bar touching the rear shocks?
Awesome videos. How did u make your rock sliders work with the new control arm brackets installed?
Much appreciated! The rock sliders had to be cut to fit with the new arm brackets
@@JDCarsChannel I’m sure. I got the smittybilt xrc slider step bars. I know you got rid of that rig but do u happen to have any pics on how u cut the sliders to make them work? Thank you
ok so how dose it ride? flex? on road and off any better???
indeed id love to hear how it rides and how it has held up
Rides like a beast! It feels like a truck on the road and flexes amazingly well off-road
Ok so is that better than stock ride or worse? I’m looking to install Metacloak long arm 4link in front and Clayton long arm 4link rear on jk2dr so will see thx
Since it’s been 2 years how is the RC parts holding up ?
RC parts held strong for the entirety of our ownership!
RC didn’t supply new bumpstops with this kit?
That's what the rear lift blocks are for. I show the process of bolting them to the axle
What size tires do you have?
In this video, they were 31's I believe. Though we ended up upgrading to 37x12.5 Nitto Ridge Grapplers 👌
Those wheels looks so tiny now.
Wait till you see the new wheels and tires 😋
How are things now?
We recently sold this sucker, but loved it up until the day we did!
@@JDCarsChannel congrats.
You buy garbages no good
