I mean Kaylee already left the perfect comment that whole heartedly agree with. I love watching all your adventures and appreciate all the helpful information.
Thanks April! 😁 Right back at you. We felt like not a lot of people knew that this service excited so we definitely wanted to put it out there for our fellow travelers!
Thank you so much for this easy guide! It helped with my nerves! It looks SO much easier than the end of the Disney Magical Express did...Waited for that bus literally an hour, felt like an idiot for not getting a Uber.
You're so welcome! We love the SuperStar - sometimes it can take awhile for the bus to get from the airport to your hotel, since it makes multiple stops, but we've yet to wait longer than 10 minutes to actually board the bus when arriving at the airport and heading over to Universal Resort property. 😁 Definitely a little less chaotic and better-managed than the late, great Magical Express!
My favorite travel gurus. You guys are the bomb. Editing = fabulous. Helpful, thorough information = fabulous. I've never heard of this! Loved seeing MCO (can't wait to see you guys in just under 3 months!). Nailing that outro!
Many thanks 🙏🏻 This was information that we really wanted to get out there bc we feel like this service is so underutilized. AND we are so excited to navigate future MCO travels with our bestie! 😁
Thanks for this- we had never heard of this either! Excellent and informative- cheers guys! We're going to look into it, but only need 1 way. There's six of us, so uber or lyft may work out cheaper for us... roll on November...
Totally see where taking rideshare vehicles would definitely save money for larger groups! The real advantage of the SuperStar shuttle is convenience over cost, but you can *almost* break even on cost if you have a smaller group too. Either way, we just wanted to put the information out there! 😁 Thanks for watching, glad we helped to inform your decisions!
Glad it was helpful! 😁 The blue binder has your tickets and your itinerary in it, they load it up with whatever you pre-purchased when you check in at concierge. Hope you have a great trip!
So I have a question. If I get there around 11pm, will I still be able to get the shuttle to take me to the resort? I had bought the round trip along with my package. I also have to leave the resort around 5 am will the shuttle still come to take us to the airport?
Yes! You’ll want to call the number listed in your email (and in our video) to verify the bus’ position/parking spot when you arrive, since concierge will be closed by 11pm - but rest assured the shuttle will be there at the airport ready to collect you. The same goes for your early departure on the way back; we, too, caught a very early flight back once, and SuperStar collected us at around 4:30am out in front of our resort! 🙂
My arrival to Orlando will be well outside of the concierge hours. I don’t understand where I would get my blue book/ itinerary or what the phone call would entail.
The phone call is not a required step, it's just a support line where a Universal/Mears employee will remain available off-hours to help guide you to the bus if you run into any issues. The map and instructions you receive by text, however, should give you the same directions. If you arrive outside of the standard concierge hours it is my understanding that you would not collect a blue book at the airport and would instead go on to get your tickets from the hotel when you arrive. 😊
Great video.. Headed to Universal next month Sapphire Falls same as you! I have read some pretty bad reviews. Was there a wait for shuttle and does it make alot of stops? Just want to get there quickly! Were you happy with it? Thanks for any info!!
Thanks so much! Waits can vary for SSS at the airport, but we’ve never waited longer than 15-20 minutes - the bus is almost always there, so they’re just filling it up with booked passengers. As far as stops, hard rock always seems to come first and then dockside/surfside, followed by cabana bay, sapphire falls and adventura. The good news, though, is that the hotels are all so close together at universal that ‘multiple stops’ really just feels like one stop with multiple platforms 😁 We swear by the shuttle and take it every time we stay on property, definitely recommend!
The bad news is that there really isn't a 'slow' time of day, week or year for MCO at this stage, as it's actually the seventh-busiest airport in the country. Universal/Mears will always try to fill the bus to capacity, to the best of their ability; it's really just luck of the draw as to how many people are on which bus. The good news, though, is that SuperStar Shuttle never seems to take as long to arrive and/or depart as the Magical Express, and it has less distance to cover and fewer hotels to reach - so you're in for a short ride even if the bus is crowded. 😊 You're going to have a fantastic time!
How does the Super Star Shuttle work when you're going from Cabana Bay Resort to MCO? Do they give you a time to take the shuttle? Or can we schedule a time to get picked up at a specific time?
We actually got picked up from Cabana Bay to head back to MCO on a recent trip! You don’t get to pick a time, unfortunately. You log your flight information with the system when you book the shuttle, and then they’ll consolidate other travelers with similar departure times into the same shuttle group and provide you with an estimated pickup time (no less than 2.5 hours before your flight) - our pickup was around 5am for an 8am flight. Early morning, but worth it for the convenience of not having to figure out a rental situation 😁
@@timandkt we never stay on property. The one time we did, we had our own car and we coming from Bonnet Creek. This is good to know. That why we love this channel Always useful info.
It’s actually just the Universal Orlando website! 😁 There is no direct link. When you purchase a vacation package, you’ll be asked if you wish to include airport transportation via the superstar shuttle - if so, check ‘yes’ and they will then email you after the fact to sync up your flight information. If you’ve booked a room-only reservation, you’ll have to call to add the superstar shuttle to the stay, as it won’t otherwise be included.
That I’m afraid I don’t know; we’ve only ever purchased through UOR directly. From looking at the Undercover Tourist website just now, I would assume not - it seems like this service must be booked through Universal in order to guarantee synchronization. However, if you find a workaround, feel free to share! 😎
We’ve taken Uber before! Nothing wrong with that method, to each their own. ☺️ We just prefer not having to scramble through apps trying to find a ride while holding all our bags after arriving at the airport.
2:09 We actually did. 😉 All you have to do is call the number listed and the 24/7 helpdesk will verify your booking and tell you where the bus is parked. Hope this helps!
@@ledster9937 You should still be on the bus’ boarding list regardless of whether you formally check in with concierge or via the Helpdesk line, so if anything I would call before you arrive just to find out where the bus is parked. If you aren’t able to call ahead or won’t have a phone onsite, you can also ask at the airport information desk if the Universal SuperStar Shuttle has a designated parking area for the day of your arrival. If you can find the bus and provide a last name, you should be able to board no problem.
At the time of our recording this video, masks were still required in airports, on planes and on all public transportation including the Superstar Shuttle. We're sorry to hear that the regulations were disruptive for you, but hopefully the information about the bus service was still helpful. 🙂
@@bugwar5545 We can't be responsible for what other people choose to do, but we can assure you that the mask rules were still set in stone and were being broadcasted over the PA system repeatedly during our time in the terminals and on the planes. Anyone who may have been wandering around the terminal without a mask at the time, whether knowingly or unknowingly, was in violation of those rules.

Very interesting system love that they play a movie

Hmm, good to know!
Definitely worth looking into for anyone flying into MCO and headed to Universal! 😁
Is the Universal shuttle pick up on the same level at the Airpirt Airport of where Magical Express used to be??
Same level, but different side of the airport! 😎 Magical Express pickup used to be in terminal B, and Superstar Shuttle pickup is in terminal A.
I just booked super star shuttle I am going in may

Do you know what is the best time to arrive at MCO to avoid big crowds on the bus? We are taking a trip in September.
