One thing to consider: If you book a vacation package completely through Universal, you have the option of their shuttle service (I don't know the costs today, it was about $70 when I went a few years ago). The one-time price is BOTH ways, to and from the hotel. When getting off the plane, after you get your bags, go straight to a Universal customer service desk and provide ID and your reservation number. They will have everything ready and will direct you to the shuttle. I feel it's worth it since Uber is so unpredictable and the Uber app is a drunk mess.
I’m glad you said this because I just booked and added the shuttle from the airport to the resort. It was $39 per adult round trip. I’m nervous because this is the first trip I’m taking as a single mom and I was trying to make everything as stress free as possible 💜
@@VickieVale367 What month are you going? I would avoid the last week or two of July because that's when it seems the world wants to go to Florida, LOL...
The shuttle was a great idea to book! It's reliable and will get you to your hotel all facilitated through Universal Orlando. I've taken it before it was great
Collapsible cups, I’ve heard it more and more in past few years, but that’s a game changer for me. Thank you for video, I’ve traveled loads before on plane it’s just refreshing to see handy tips as a reminder.
Very good video and informative as well. I will be going to Orlando this July with my family to Universal and this video really helps a lot so thanks for the info I will definitely put it to use when I go to FL.
Awesome video! I already have some of the stuff you recommended like fuelrods, Collapsible water bottle & I'm even going to fly Jetblue! Thank you Krystal! 😊👍
I love that collapsible bottle. Definitely going to get a few since we're going in August. The charging thing is pretty cool, too. Going to get that too!
Great video Krystal! Thanks for the tips. See you are brave leaving your luggage not in the room. For me I would rather get to my room first and leave my luggage in the room. lol
I'm flying to universal in September first time flying to Orlando, going a day early so that I can adjust and hang out at the hotels and city walk before hitting the park the following days
We love a good travel vlog! 😁 We're typically flying Southwest when we're traveling domestically, which has recently presented us with two disadvantages - 1) we'll never set foot in Terminal C, and 2) we'll never be able to charge our phones or computers during our flight. But we do have a pretty hefty points balance, so we save a couple bucks here and there on theses quick little trips! I concur that Chic-fil-a just hits different when you've got a craving for soda and chicken. Luckily we have three of them within 20 mins of home base, so it's not as rare a commodity for us 😉 Love the pro tips for packing and transportation, too. If anyone knows how to get in and out of Universal efficiently, it's the Krystal Palace! ✨
Sometimes, you might find the big names holding a fire sale but it depends on the time of year and traffic. I had some trouble booking with another airline. I got sneaky and put my vacation for the first week of January, knowing the Xmas travelers are scrambling to get the kids back to school before Xmas vacation officially ends. The airlines probably expected a drop in traffic in the first half of that month so they were holding a fire sale. American Airlines surprisingly was among the three cheapest so I killed as many birds with a stone as I could: charged it to a card that would give me extra cashback points, racked up AA mileage and took advantage of the sale prices. Again, it depends on what mood the airlines are in and what time of the year it is. The flight was completely packed so I wasn't the only one who noticed the post New Year's sale prices! My hotel (Cabana Bay) was cheaper than I expected so I booked with them to get early entry. It was one of my favorite vacations and I would love to find time to do it all over again. PS, one warning - even Florida can get pretty cold in January so do NOT forget a jacket or sweater. You definitely will need them in the parks. I shivered a little but it could have been much much worse had I forgotten my jacket.
I just got back from chic filet before I watched this video. Lol Great video I never flew with jet blue and I've never seen most of those areas of the airport. How much does the lyft cost from the airport
I’m going to flying into MCO for the first time in November. It doesn’t look as bad as I thought it was going to be . I usually fly into Sanford since it’s a direct flight for me, but they don’t have the dates I need. The person I booked for the pick up, sent me step by step directions for the airport and where to find him! I thought that was really nice. I think I bring the exact same things you bring 😅. I have a collapsible cup. It’s one of the best purchase I ever made!
@@TheKrystalPalace I did read about this clear + you can make reservations for check in when flying out. I’m hoping when my trip in November it won’t be as crowded. It will be the week before Thanksgiving.
Hi Krystal great video I’m flying in with British airways and I’ve paid for transport with them to royal pacific where do I catch the bus can you help please

You said those fuel rods are from Amazon but can swap them out in universal? Do you have to pay, or is it like Disney, one charge for how ever long you are there? I had no idea universal had this system.
Thanks for the video!!This was VERY Helpful and EXPERTLY done!
Of course, thank you!!
Congrats on 20k! Glad to be here to see it happen :)

Can you pool hop to different universal resorts? We like that hotel but not the greatest of pools!
If you are staying at any of the hotels besides Endless Summer Surfside and Dockside, yes!
I’m going to universal studios and island of adventures in December, is it expensive for food and drinks there?
