I find that there is so much crap in the world nowadays that I don't watch anything except for music and work videos such as this , you are a special person to have this gift , wonderful job on this Acoustic !
You are a true craftsman. Your attention to detail is 2nd to none. I don't know how you have the balls to place a chisel on a finished surface and scrap glue like that. Well done! I wish you all the success you deserve.
I really do enjoy the calm and peacefulness of your shop and videos.... Reallo soothing. MInd you, I sometimes find myself holding my breath in more delicate parts of your super workmanship. Thanks a lot for sharing your work and experience..............Peace and Courage to all Ukrainians. -dan

Здравствуйте, на самом деле интересно увидеть все, от стачивания порожков до полной реставрации гитары и при возможности с пояснением самого процесса и причиной появления проблемы) . Спасибо за видео, с нетерпением жду следующее.
I fixed a friends guitar with a lifting bridge a while ago, but luthery is just my hobby. Cheap guitar, bridge was factory glued onto polyurethane top coat, hence the lift. I used similar methods and this video verifies I did it the right way. Still, my repair left a 1mm gap surrounding the bridge showing the repair work because I don't have your exacting skills. Again, cheap guitar and also a free repair. Ugly but functional and the bridge is now anchored. I'm pleased with how I clamped it without long reach clamps: a top block and bottom block sandwiching the bridge and the soundboard with screws through the bridge pin holes, then wedges fixing the wings of the bridge till the glue squeezed out.
I just posted a benchtop video on Tuesday. I'd love to hear what you think. ... Also, that trick where you used the fret rocker to check the nut slot height... I'm stealing that.
I have a Chinese Fender that needs the same treatment. It came with a saddle that was made out of melamine and a bridge that was too tall and fit VERY loose in the slot. I bought a new ebony wood saddle for it but I do not have the ability to change it out. The action was about 1/4" and was unplayable until I sanded the bridge down by about half. I shimmed it with paper but the vibration does not transfer to the sound board properly. Also the grooves in the nut were cut too deep and it buzzes on a couple freats. I wish I had a skilled luthier local to me to set it right.
Great work. What liquid, or liquids, are you spraying on the fretboard at 12:05 and 13:00? Is it just soapy water or something else? Thanks for your videos
Nice clean work. How difficult was it to scribe through the chippy polyester finish around the bridge edge? You did a great job of preparing the surface.
Yes this shoddy manufacture bridge fitting is rife in the industry. Yes it is a time consuming skilled job to remove soundboard lacquer to the full extent of the bridge. Yes a precise and complete fit of the bridge base is critical to a long lasting fit. Guitarists thank their stars that the are patient luthier to fix shortcuts.
Hello , have been watching a few of your fantastic videos and have a question for ya.. Which crowning tool are you using and approximately how many necks can this tool be used before it wears out? Thanks...
Absolute crap factory work here. Did this same job on a friend's 15 yo Ibanez a few months back. I didn't have to do much to the bridge, it was near enough off, but half an inch of polyurehtane with the bridge glued on top. Really hard stuff to clean off. You have a bit more gear and a surer hand than me, but mine worked.
Serious question. I have a Fender Acoustic CD-60SCE and a Cordoba Fusion 5 classical acoustic that I both play quite a bit. Would it better to trade up my Fender for something like a Taylor instead given the issues you mentioned or is this something I don't really need to worry about?
Those were like $300 guitars in 1990 ish. Pretty low budget for then. Cheap guitars really sucked back then (now cheap is often similar to expensive minus a fret dress). Who is spending that much to fix a fender acoustic? Sentimental value or what?
Fender acoustic guitars always puzzled me. I played a couple of the ones that had single sided headstocks back in the 70’s and thought they just felt like cheap guitars. With so many excellent Japanese acoustics to choose from back then, the fender acoustics made no sense. I imagine later fender acoustics are nothing more than generic Asian stuff from some big guitar factory. No thanks.

I'm trying to understand what im watching, is this a repair shop? Do you have customers that drop off broken guitars and you fix em? You obviously have talent, just need some more infos.🤔
I'm really curious about what kind of superglue you are using for the frets that you are able to apply it directing to the fret board and still clean it off? What is that ?
@@powertothebauer296 I am trying to replicate this and not getting the same results. I am using a bees wax based paste wax and I think the one she uses is petroleum based. But what is the fast drying liquid she applies right before using the fine chisel to remove the super glue? That's what I'm really curious about.
I love the sound design of your videos. It's like guitar workshop ASMR. Good job!
