Civil war? So who flies the B52 plane? Who drives the M24 tank. Who flies the F111 plane? Who controls the aircraft carrier? South Vietnamese soldiers were not even allowed to touch those things.

Civil war? laugh out loud. America poured trillions of dollars into the Vietnam War. A total of 2.7 million American soldiers fought in Vietnam, reaching 534 thousand troops at its peak. South Korea 325 thousand soldiers, Australia 50 thousand soldiers, Thailand 32 thousand soldiers, New Zealand 3,500 soldiers, Philippines 2,000 soldiers. Vietnam only received weapons and food aid from China and the Soviet Union. Vietnam never agreed to allow Chinese and Soviet soldiers to be present in Vietnam, except for military experts, and they only had a few thousand people on duty to instruct how to use weapons. They never directly participated in combat. China offered to let Chinese soldiers participate in the war, but Vietnam refused and only received weapons and food. Money debt can be paid, but blood debt cannot be paid. Because they can't be revived! Vietnam does not want to owe blood to other countries. Vietnam will gain independence with its own hands. The government of South Vietnam is a puppet government set up by the US to serve US interests when they unilaterally abrogated the 1954 Geneva Agreement. If the US did not intervene in Vietnam. Without unilaterally tearing up the Geneva Agreement, Vietnam was unified through the 1956 General Election. The 17th parallel has never been the official border of the two regions. That boundary was temporary and would be eliminated in 1956 through national elections. Government of South Vietnam = Vichy Government of France.

No national elections occurred in 1956 in South Vietnam. You read too much communist propaganda. Vietnam today twists the reality of the war, afraid of the truth. No wonder so many Vietnamese are in its prisons because they told the truth. Vietnam government refuses to hear anything that dares criticises its policies and governance.

Ridiculous for that "civil war" narration. Let's face it, Viet Minh defeated the French, and the Americans stepped in to prevent the communist wave as they claimed, which was a bad move since Ho Chi Minh did not pull the ideology that hard and was willing to cooperate with the US in particular, and the international community in general. Just like a line of a popular war song in Vietnam that goes: "Although we love roses, the enemies forced us to pick up the guns".

Indeed, Vietnam is a small country located in Southeast Asia. According to historical records, Vietnam has approximately 4000 years of culture. From its early days of nation-building until now, Vietnam has always faced extremely brutal invasions. The Chinese conducted 24 invasions of Vietnam, and the Vietnamese people spent 1000 years liberating their nation. Perhaps there is no other country in the world that has witnessed as much sacrifice and loss as the Vietnamese. During the resistance against the French, it is estimated that around 4 million Vietnamese perished in 80 years of French colonization. Following that, the Japanese caused a famine, resulting in an estimated 4 million civilians dying of starvation. But that was not the worst. The Americans came and bombed this small country into oblivion, destroying everything, even the vegetation. Therefore, the Vietnamese yearn to live in peace like other nations.
