Thank you so much. This was the last piece of the puzzle that I needed, I updated my softmod and the old wad was causing issues. This fixed it!!!

Did you figure this out? I installed some cIOS's and it worked for me!
However, I have another problem. When I open USB Loader Gx, it just returns to the system menu after a few seconds. Have you had this problem too? If so, how did you fix it?

Hey Scott, I downloaded USB loader GX successfully but as soon as I launch it, it loads up for a short time but then kicks me back to the Wii menu. Any ideas how I could fix this ??
This is only a forwarder I believe. You have to have the actual app installed and this is a shortcut to it

downloaded this, bricked my wii for a bit, got my wii to work again, now my wii only works when i have an usb in it.
I was following a different guide that called their wad folder “wads”. I couldn’t get YAWMM to find the forwarder file until I changed the name of the folder from “wads” to “wad”. I kept getting error -1 after selecting my SD card in the menu. Who would’ve guessed one letter makes that much of a difference?

I'm running my games off SD and when I open USB loader GX through the HBC it works flawlessly all games are there etc....however when I click the channel once installed it doesn't seem to load the settings I have at all. It attempts to mount usb and I get an error once it opens. Any idea on why this is occurring?
Just done it to my wii using the sd card for the apps with a 250gb hdd for the games. awesome work dude followed ur vids from the start and just backed the nand up as well cheers 🍻

This still works great, got it loaded on my home menu and it works without issue! Also I used my black Wii Motion Plus remote in the YAWMM menu without any problems. Question though...is there some kind of mod possible that can make it so that I can either launch back to the Wii Menu OR back into USB Loader GX while playing a GameCube game? I use this mostly for GameCube purposes so it gets a little tiresome when I'm trying things out and have to keep getting up to turn the Wii off and back on again just to get back to the Wii Menu. I know it's not possible on a normal Wii setup, but was hoping this Homebrew created something unique.
idk, but ik you can boot to the hbc by doing r, z, b, down dpad on gc controller
@@rlstevzz Yeah I saw a post about it somewhere after I made this. I have it set up so pressing R, Z, B, Down goes right back to USB Loader GX.

I think If you press the 1 button or 2 button on the homebrew channel a menu will appear where you can select a sd or usb i dunno

@@Westinaaa I dont know, just be careful you can end up bricking your wii if you take a wrong step.
3:10 When you selected IOS249, does that mean its going to overwrite that one, because that IOS is installed during the modding process so it's important.

If I load usb loader gx from homebrew channel it is stuck on initialize usb device and if I load usb loader gx from the homescreen it goes to a blackscreen then brings me back to the homescreen any way to fix either problem that would be great
You have inserted your usb in wrong port
The default port is 0 in usb loader gx

Before you do, try Wii mod lite instead! It's worked with my Wii motion plus

Installed fine the USB-Loader-GX based on your instructions. The point is, when I'm opening the USB-Loader-GX, it starts loading, but then goes back to the Wii menu. I re-booted the Wii, same situation. USB-Loader-GX looks like doing nothing but closing.
I'm using an SD card to hold apps and games on a USB external HDD.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance 🙂

I had this problem too. The solution is to install the app from the open shop channel onto the homebrew channel. Once it is there it should function correctly. I think the problem is that when you download the wad file you are not actually downloading the app you are just installing the channel. Since the actual app isn't installed the wii can't open an app, it tries to but then just returns to the menu.
I think people are misunderstanding this process. You must have "USB Loader GX" itself on your drive. This tutorial here is installing just a shortcut on the Wii home menu to the actual "USB Loader GX" app which you'll need on USB or SD in the apps folder.
my wii is on the wifi with the most recent version when i try to press A on the ios249 it doesnt do nothing but it lets me use the dpad to change the version and the home button to restart idk what to do

for some reason the A button won't work when I try to advance through the first menu on the Wii when choosing the iOS version. I'm not using one with a Wii motion plus so idk why it's not working

It doesnt pop up in the home brew channel it did the same thing as you, it is just no sd card but a usb with 128gb does the wii read that? even letterbomb doesn't pop up,

A black screen usually means that you might not have the proper IOS's from d2x CIOs installer, your game ID could be wrong or something within your file setup isn't right. So I'd say go through the process again and double check everything

When I selected the source device am using (USB 2.0 Mass Storage Device), it was mounting the usb for way too long, so I figured it was stuck. I load it up again and same thing happened. Any fix?

Just curious. I downloaded everything and it shows up in my home brew but all my controllers stop working with me once I have to it “A” after I load it in homebrew. Any tips?

Followed the instructions, and it installed perfectly, except that anytime I try to launch it, the screen goes blank and I can't do anything but restart. I did use a different program to install it (Wii Mod Lite), but I didn't think it had that much of an impact. Did I do it wrong?
Are your games on a fat32 device or a different format?

Do you have the actual app on the Homebrew channel and the forwarder as well? You have to have both in order for the forwarder to work properly.

3:06 I have a Mario and Luigi Wii Remote and a Red Wii Remote all Motion plus but only my Red Wii Remote Worked and it was 3rd player to😅 but i managed to get through luckily.

Nope. Just resort to getting a rom, if you own the game.
everything worked fine on mine. but i used the new version of "crap" to get the game on the wii menu.

@@JM70music have you installed the ios's from cios installer? and double-check that you have the proper game id's in your game folders. If its not on those, it could be that the type of usb drive you are using is causing issues

Hey guys I have a question for y’all since I have this problem and I’m not sure if anyone else has the same issue. So when I play a game on my Wii did you ever run into a problem like being unable to use a control like to jump in super Mario bros you had to shake the controller and it doesn’t work or throw a Bakugan in Bakugan by throwing the Wii remote and it not working since I have those two problems.

Hi since doing the homebrew correctly and then going into CIOs process and doing all 4 steps properly it’s now giving me a white screen on the gx loader and it doesn’t show anything and won’t let me do anything I just have to restart my device and the same is happening on Wii flow can someone please help me :(
I backed up New super Mario bros Wii to my usb using cleanrip and it backed it up in chunks. Can I merge the chunks somehow?
Sorry for the late reply, honestly, I've never used cleanrip so I'm not sure. I've only used usb loader GX to back up games
