Good explanation. Not all steps make sense though, because the side exit at 3:32 as preparation for Macaquinho is actually HARDER than the whole macaquinho itself, and it is a whole and complete capoeira movement in its own right, with different momentum and muscle memory that is not suitable to prepare a macaquinho. Yes, it looks similar for the untrained eye, but it is no entry into macaquinho.

However, the first step "au role", which is supposed to prepare your wrist and shoulder to Macaquinho, is certainly, to me, the best way to injure them by throwing your entire bodyweight on joints wrongly prepared (for an absolute beginner). It's just me... Peace
