Love the videos man! Just got my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-road in Lunar rock and I absolutely love it! I’m excited to get it on some PA trails here soon!
@@shanewhittemore I love it man! The only thing about the lunar rock is you gotta keep it clean because it shows dust and dirt really easy. Other than that it’s an amazing color
I don't think it's the same way crawl control works. I'm not sure, but a trac just locks the brake up to the wheel or wheels that are spinning. Pretty sure crawl control changes how much power is going to each wheel.
Roof dent cost 1300 to repair. The body shop did a great job pulling the dents. After i got it back i noticed the branch also hit the bed right on the D in trd. Thankfully the insurance company did not dispute that it was related and fixed that also!
I have a 22 Tacoma TRD off road 4x4 automatic, V6. It does everything I ask it to, would love to see more videos on your truck, sorry about the tree branch!
Your dad has the best taco!! I know I also have a 22 in lunar rock. Offroad has the best ride of them all. I got rid of the GoodYears and put on Michlin's and got my mpg to 17 it was 12.
@@pearljunecharles Defenders LTX. I have 11k on the truck now and mileage is 55mph=22, 75mph=18.5 now this is using the trucks computer. To be fare with the GoodYears my truck It had less than 5k so I'm sure the truck wasn't broken in yet. But I did get an extra 5mpg on next gas tank.
Beautiful truck ! I put the TRD pro wheels on my 21 Tacoma TRD ORDC 4x4 and went with Toyo AT3’s in a 265/75R16 both wheel and tire combo are around 63pound I kept it light and it has paid off no loss of power at all and getting 24MPG on highway, driving 68-70 mph , something to consider if you want to retain power & fuel mileage…
The off road has the torch off road 3/2 leveling kit with the diff drop. I would recommend a sway bar drop kit and a set of bilestein 5100s for the rear. Not mandatory, but the factory shocks in the rear will fully extend and cause a thunk sound when the axle drops. The 5100 has a slower motion that factory shocks and has worked well for me
Your Dad is all that and them some. He's right, most "mods" are accessories. BTW: Another channel opined that the Taco has the worst, most easily scratched paint.
How do you like the: - front locker? - rear locker that can be locked in 2HI & 4HI? - fully boxed frame - 4 wheel disc brakes - 1300# plus payload Are you enjoying these features on your truck?
Don't have a front locker I will be installing front and rear air lockers in mine. Rear locker can be locked in any gear just need to cut a wire. Fully boxed frame is a no for me, don't want it to rust inside out. Drum brakes in the rear is fine since most the stopping power comes from the front and drum brakes are extremely reliable. I don't haul anything with my mid-size truck. If I had planned too I would have bought a bigger truck. I also have aftermarket suspension so the payload capacity is different for me. Stock is 1535
Imagine watching a video about a truck you wish you would have bought and then commenting trying to justify the one you actually bought.............. That would suck!
@@chrisfrey5905 couldn’t be more untrue, but ok…🙄😂 Imagine responding to a comment, knowing there are better, more reliable, more capable (on & off road), and more powerful trucks out there in an attempt to validate your purchase. 😉

Your dad's a natural. Thought I was on his channel for a min.
And those are some nice tacos
Hahaha don't let him fool you, editing saved him a good bit 🤣
Definitely a lot of editing went into this. Thank god MDV is good at editing.

My 2023 Lunar Rock Off road comes in at the end of this month. Do you still like yours?

I did the Torch 3-2 cuz of you guys and let me tell you it was worth it it feels good driving it
Definitely a good budget lift option!
Your dad is cool. Keep us posted on the roof dent repair. Is "A Track" like crawl control for manuals? Great video as always.

Good to see the bond y'all have over your trucks.
Great video as always ❤
Thank you!!
Awesome video 🤙
Thank you!!
I have puck lift on my Tacomas and 4Runner. They both still drive great.
Loved the video. Two of my favorite human beings. More of the bald headed guy.❤️🥰
Hahaha okay! ❤️
Install an Overland Torque Tune. This Tune will cause your Tacos torque to kick in at 2K RPM. It also allows you to get 1-2 more mpg.
Enjoyed guys
Thanks for the review, looking at installing PPF front wrap, its not cheap, but if it keeps the pain on longer, might be worth it.
Yeah any protection might be worth it I think
Dude on the right has to a former Army Ranger 🤔🤔
The people want a blooper reel!
LoL maybe!

Slap the OTT tune in it, definitely helps with low rpm,and over all drive ability. Best $$$, you can invest in a 🌮...🍻🍻🍻
Definitely needs to happen!
