I’m sure a lot of renovators will use your method of floor paint removal. It is so much less time consuming than other methods.

Love how you often mention other people on similar Vlogs, Alla & Sergi, Yannis & Simon...makes you part of the Chateaux Family & me too for watching them all. Often refer to individuals on the Vlogs as my "friends"😊

Hi Suzie & Rols. That fire screen tapestry is absolutely Beautiful. I can just imagine a young woman working on it hundreds of years ago! A bit of a touch of gold paint will be lovely. The bed crown is Exactly like the one Patrick & Stuart revived on Journey to the Chateau and it is gorgeous. Suzie I love all your roses in the garden and will enjoy seeing the roses in the bedroom❤❤❤

They say in the US that anything can be fixed with either WD-40 or Duct tape! It's nice to know that duct tape even works for floors. Suzie, your rock garden inspired me to get some herbs to plant. (I used to do a lot of gardening, but spent many years taking care of my elderly mother, so the gardens all went to weeds). When I was at the garden center, about an hour away, I saw a friend who had moved away quite a few years ago, working there. I mentioned that I watch a lot of chateaux shows, and she said she does too. When I mentioned being inspired by Suzie and Rols, she said she watches you too! When I saw the bed crown thing, I was going to mention Patrick and Stuart, but I see you watch them too! Terry and Ash also used the same crown in the 400 suite at La Lacelle. I like the idea of using the roses as decorations!

You can buy skirting board that has a ‘hollow’ behind it to hide pipes and wiring. Might be handy in that room 😀

Hello Suzie and Rols the roses in the garden are beautiful. Rols I think you did a great job with the plastering. The floor looks very nice, the ductape dit it’s work. I love your plans for the ciel de lit to restore them with beats and to put the roses on. The tapestry is gorgeous and so is the oval frame. Can’t wait to see how they turn out with the gold highlighting. I really enjoyed the video and sat here with my morning coffee. What a great start of the day, thank you for that. See you next time, best wishes Tina 🇾🇪😘

Check on videos on “Journey to the Chateau,” they did the same thing you are trying to do. They used some type of putty or material that made forms. It may take a little longer. But, worth the time and effort you will find. They then painted over the molds they made. I personally I think it would look better minus a rose on each end at the front and forget the idea of using round pieces of wood or whatever else you said you were going to use. It would better to try and make the piece look original. You would hate for the room to look 1970’s or crafty. Just my thoughts and I like the idea of using gold. I enjoyed your video. The floor looks a lot better now and the walls are improving.❤😊❤😊

Just letting you know that I tend to be super judgmental and in as much as I’m very interested in these sorts of vlogs, may I recommend you move things along a little. Holding your audience’s interest should be rule one and spending an inordinate amount of time pulling up duct tape isn’t necessarily going to do that. Or for that matter spending time over explaining your wanting to restore something. Perhaps time for a little editing making your points more concisely would be my suggestion.
